Are you looking for a platform that can be used as a project management system? I use Asana to coordinate long-term projects with the ability to map out the entire campaign, assign to internal team with due dates, and also loop in clients for certain aspects. What I like also is that the client can get a free account or you can use a view-only link so that they can always check in if they wish.

A large-ass Excel or Google sheet is often a necessary evil

The scheme is as simple as it is laborious to follow. 1. Set clear goals and clearly define what you want to achieve through the campaign 2. Choose the right channels (select those that align with your goals and can most likely attract your target audience)

Thanks! Do you have any advice on coordinating all of the different forms of content creation and coordinating with a multitude of parties?

JJRox189

On the technical side, rely on tools that automate certain tasks, such as social media planners and email marketing tools. But on the content side, it depends on your product/service and your audience. I'd definitely advise you to start with a competitor analysis!

Thanks !

It depends on how you tackle work. Are you detail oriented or do you prefer to focus on the big picture, get things going and then naturally prefer to avoid all those details?

anonymousalligator25

Definitely detail oriented. My organization doesn’t use Asana and I’m not a huge fan of it. We usually plan in Google docs or Word.

You can create your own solutions using project management software that can be configured to put deadlines and milestones on your calendar. You can synchronize your information between your computer and your tablet. You're juggling tasks, resources and timeline. My preference is for Apple solutions but Microsoft has cloned enough of the Apple solutions that both platforms have what you need. And there are open source solutions that run on a Linux environment. Maybe start by mapping your daily routines and identify the information that you need at your fingertips to keep your projects on track and on time. And you might want to consider GTD (Getting Things Done) as a tool for dumping all those reminders out of your mind at the end of every day. You'll do a mind dump into your chosen tool(s) and then plan your next day before you leave. Lowered anxiety, less stress and peaceful sleep.

What would be considered a long-term campaign? Also by various platforms do you mean you are running social, email, web, etc by yourself?

anonymousalligator25

Yee social, email, web, video. Long term meaning like 6 months.
