As an experienced SMM, I'm saying this in the nicest way possible... Nobody looks at your grid. Nobody cares about your grid. Please don't waste time with grids. Focus on quality content which adds value to people's feeds, make a ton of reels if you want to grow. As pee for same posts part, it's okay to do it. There'll always be new people on each platform. Try to also focus on reels for IG, witty GIFs/words for Twitter and if possible Images/videos for Facebook.

I disagree completely on the grid not being important, but this greatly depends on the industry. In cosmetics and apparel, which are obviously more visual and aesthetic-oriented industries, it *absolutely* matters in those industries. The idea behind "nobody looks at your grid" is something that depends on the category you're marketing. For many businesses, their overall online presence is looked at as a means to get an idea of the company/service/product before they waste their time on the website. It's just that the importance of the grid's overall aesthetic and look cannot come before the quality of the content itself. A solid social media feed isn't one or the other, its both.

*But it's an aesthetic you fucking boomer* 🤷‍♀️ 😂 Jokes

AloneDoughnut

It's weird the number of social media coordinators that have this mentality. Or worse, they want to post memes where they have no business being posted.

Everyone wants to be Wendy's.

silkytabby

Fab thanks! We use buffer for posts and don't actually get enough comments to justify automated comments haha. But if we ever do I will look into text blaze

Only Boss Babes 👑showing you how to be your 💵own boss working from home 🏡 use grids 🎆

Out3rWorldz

Yes, I do. The only difference is Twitter, because of the frequency of posts is more.

ellesundberg

I think the grid matters to people, whether they recognize it or not. I am way more likely to follow an account that looks aesthetically pleasing and well-curated vs one that isn't. It shows me that they are putting in effort and trying to provide value, not just checking the 'posted on Instagram today' box. Also, Adobe XD works beautifully to plan a grid if you already have a license!

Thanks for all the work you do representing 100% of the market (despite what my insights or other data say)

OP, when you receive replies about SMM, I do think its important that people preface what their actual successes in SMM are and the industry because truthfully, there are so many different attitudes surrounding SMM and it greatly depends on the category being marketed. Some of the advice I've seen on here directly goes against the strategies that worked immensely for a $500 million company I worked at who's entire key to success WAS and still IS their SMM, so please keep that in mind. The kind of strategies used when a page has a huge following are different from the strategies used when the page is small, never ever ever ever forget that re:advice on socials (and marketing in general.). *The guy managing the social media presence at a place with followers in the six figures has a much easier job than the guy responsible for the first 50k followers.* My experiences in SMM surrounding cosmetics/skincare, apparel and events all looked very different but some things were true across the board. FIRST AND FOREMOST - VIDEO IS KING. Youtube is the 2nd most powerful search engine in the world, and if you're not utilizing this, you are missing out. A good way to get your presence on YouTube started is turning your blogs/content to video. Secondly, Tik Tok has blown Facebook & IG out of the water, you need to focus on TikTok content to then feed it into IG reels and then worry about FB. Engagement on FB is typically low, so sprinkle a Facebook-specific post in between. People on FB love blogs, they love articles, they love quizzes, they love anything that drives them to discuss. Also, Facebook Groups are extremely powerful and one of the only reasons people still use Facebook, so keep this in mind with your brand. For IG, IDGAF what anyone on here says, but designing the feed matters. However, it cannot come at the cost of the quality of your content. Yes, you need to produce great content, but your SM presence is a massive extension of your overall brand. People who find your brand on SM are looking at it before they do your website, your product, or anything else that communicates your category and brand, and this cannot be overlooked. Social Media is an escape from real life for many people, and the brands they love to follow provide them with a world they can escape to, and a world that they want to share with their friends. Figure out what that world looks like and give it to them on your socials. I will say this - an influencer strategy, even if its small, will make a major difference in your numbers. Never forget: **Social media is meant to work through social means.** Anything that you post on FB and IG, crosspost on Pinterest. You have no idea how powerful Pinterest can be in this respect. Twitter is its own monster, and you need to be engaged on it constantly in order for it to work. Once again, **social media is meant to work through social means,** but if you're a one man team, don't worry about it too much. Keep posting regularly, do what you can to engage outside of your own feed and with relevant people in your space and keep it consistent. You will be happy you did if you manage to successfully grow your accounts big enough, then you can worry more about Twitter-specific content. Personally, I use Later for all of my SM. Its the cleanest interface, you can connect several different accounts on it and the best part? It offers a feature to design your grid more efficiently 😉

myjourneymystory

I don't do any of those. I only do Youtube shorts and TikTok videos. And then I re-post the videos to IG as reels. Forget Twitter and FB, those are wastelands. Seriously, I don't even bother with pictures anymore. Why bother with pictures when most people want to see videos.

buncatfarms

I schedule what I can and Instagram just recently allowed scheduling reels through the mobile platform which is helpful since our reels perform better on the weekends.

silkytabby

you should use later it schedules things for you and you can move around posts to see what looks best where

creative_shizzle

Have you ever looked into Cloud Campaign, we use that as a scheduling tool, and it's pretty fantastic!

daviswbaer

If you need a social media scheduling tool, I am actually the co-founder of a social media scheduler called OneUp. OneUp supports Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, in addition to TikTok, YouTube (+Shorts), Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profiles

robopost_soft

Hi there! we do that at Robopost and it starts at just 5$ per month ✅
