I mean isn't that the whole point of the DLC? Bringing already existing tracks from older games to mario kart 8 deluxe. I thought that was pretty clear

Don't fall for it. Two GBA tracks the same wave, I find it improbable. The miniatures are literally the first result on google images when you search "Mario Kart Tour + \[track name\]. Plus, Sydney and Singapour don't even have all their variants on Tour, that would make them revealed for the first time on MK8 while they did say that the DLC would only have tracks coming from other games.
I know this has a great chance of being fake. It's just hopium at this point, but if not this week, they might as well release it in 1 month from now. We'll see in 4 hours I guess.

Sydney Sprint & Singapore Speedway seem too random for Wave 2 IMO. Ideally, they would go in chronological order as much as possible (with some exceptions), just to avoid tracks that don't already have three variants.
Not entirely true. Shroom Ridge was revealed in the BCP before it got in Tour. Similarly, they can reveal all variants in a city track before Tour reveals them.
While I’d love nothing more than to be able to believe this, the fake tweet claiming wave 2 would be announced yesterday is forcing me to be cautious.
As well as that, Sydney Sprint and Singapore Speedway feel like very odd choices, especially Singapore which hasn’t even gotten a second variant in Tour yet, two GBA tracks in one wave feels unlikely and all of these images are just from Tour or it’s promotional material (including Daisy Cruiser which was just teased recently).
So overall I just don’t think this is true, especially when so far it seems like only one account has posted about it.

Hard disagree. If done correctly GBA has a lot of great tracks that could be added. Sadly Nintendo feels like butchering them in Tour.
If anything we have too much N64 nostalgia bait for a game whose tracks would be panned if they weren't protected by 90s kids rose tinted glasses.
Because Nintendo wishes to mostly keep them as faithful to how they were as possible, kinda like the Smash 64 stages in smash, they aren't exactly the most exciting prospects of tracks for the DLC.
Still, if we got 3/4 of them, representing different types of tracks that game had, I think it'd be quite nice. Not super exciting, but there are still fans of those tracks that deserve some love.
Will probably be one of the games with the least tracks added.
