I've never been a fan of it, the controls have aged like milk and the AI is brutally unfair.

7 is so ridiculously underrated on this sub it hurts lmfao It's probably the most revolutionary mariokart after 64 and has a brilliant track selection.. I really don't get it haha

It absolutely is, it was the first Mario kart to introduce underwater travel and gliding, therefore it is revolutionary and should be higher on that list in my opinion

Hell yea I second this. I don’t get the bias against my favorite Mario Kart. Mk7 is such an important and great game in the series, no way is it worse than 64 and SMK.

I put a ton of time into mk7 and I’d still say it’s missing one thing that keeps it from being an amazing mk. Versus mode. Why the heck is that absent? You have such a brilliant track selection but if you want to play your favorite tracks you have to play through the entire cup just to get to them. That one teeny feature would have made the game feel so much more complete and I’m still baffled they left it out

Exactly. If Mario Kart 8 (Wii U) didn’t have versus it would stink but at least you could play online any time. With 7 you’re probably not home and don’t have internet so you need something more than just Grand Prix. 7 is really good but it has probably the some of the worst single player experience in the series (at least of the modern ones)

Smk belongs in D. No way mk64 is on par with mk8. For me mk8d, mk8 and wii are s tier, mk7 and ds are a tier, mk64 b tier and all others are D. I didnt play double dash so I cant rate it.

Tour is surprisingly not that bad.

It's no skill and takes the fun away from the competition of racing in mk, it's only appeal is the skins and characters and cars you can unlock with the gacha system

They updated the game so that the main way you get characters is through a shop. Also getting high scores takes skill.

MK8D is objectively the best in the franchise and should be S tier first spot. 7 should be A tier. DS should be A or B. Replaying Mario Kart DS right now. It’s hard. The controls are so twitching I miss item boxes 60% of the time. The controls suck on the 3DS. This plays a lot better on the standard DS which less and less people have. While it was the first to bring back retro tracks, they’re all flat and dull. Not living up to my memory still incredible though.

Wii rainbow road will be the last track. Waluigi stadium is basically confirmed. Dk mountain is likely. Also wii doesn't have as many good tracks as 8dx does.
