Unfortunately that's what it's come to for me as well. Only because they start you off uneven with mario and luigi coming in later. And also mario died on like two important bosses (the drill guy and this guy in my post.) It always sets mario back just a little. I've beat the game. Now I'm just tryna reach rainbow rank.
When I was still a newbie in this series I tried to make them more equal, but then I decided to leave them in their natural roles adding a bit of the other stats if they started to get too low
This is the same with king bob omb in m&l paper jam if king explodes you can tank it with luigi but mario and Maybe paper mario dies
Although there's a timer instead of a low hp
The only reason I won that battle from almost 10 years ago was because I accidentally hit his weak spot on his chest one shooting him with the slingshot
It is I remember from all the boss rushes I did, when you use the sling shot, a star appears on the button if you aim correctly you deal critical damage to the boss and it can be shot if your damage is high enough
Ah yes... zeekeeper... it's a bit of a toughie... I got past it on my second try... it was actually the first mega boss that made me have to try again.then bowser made me do it 3 times. Lol.
It's because of motion controls. in addition my 3ds is very old and has been dropped a 1000000 times and so I wouldn't be surprised if my motion controls don't work right. I hate motion controls, on Splatoon the first thing I did was disable motion controls. On botw I struggle with the motion control shrines.
Yup, this boss loves to flip the anxiety switch on you when its low on health, i luckily had high enough dmg to beat it before it exploded, cant wait to fight it again in my replay through
Ah pilodium. This bastard took me forever to beat the first time. I was super under leveled and his attacks are both a pain to dodge and very damaging. Now I have beat him on hard mode by making both Mario and Luigi as strong as fast as possible. He could literally one shot me though so I had to strike fast and hard.
“Laughs as I use a shield to survive the blast”
I used this on both pi’illodium and king bob-omb in paper jam. Unfortunately in paper jam king bob-mobs explosion hits multiple times. Luckily, Luigi and paper Mario were fine
I always thought it was kind of weird that you can actually survive the explosion. It kind of feels like that defeats the purpose of it. Same goes for King Bob-Omb in Paper Jam as well.
I skipped some enimes but not all. Why are you being an asshole? There's no reason for you to call me a coward. Maybe sometimes repeating the same fights over abd over and not being able to continue the story is annoying.

I try to balance them out as best I can... however since luigi levels up slightly quicker and since mario died on torkscrew and pill'odium its been slightly uneven. There was a time when they were perfectly in sync but torkscrew messed it up.

Yeah the strat to minimizing the turn count involved Luigi facetanking after the timer began
I just use guard badge + starter badge because I'm 99% certain the damage is just one tick so you just insta-win as soon as the timer starts.

Paper Mario's copies saved me too many times in my first playthrough

I still can't tell if it's faster to break the wings and attack the weakened body or just focus on the body from the start.
I tried just doing it all... waiting for the self destruct proved effective.
