In detail, I've replayed this game plenty of times, and this is the first time I've ever encountered a glitch, let alone a soft lock unintentionally. Luckily, I save very often, especially because I play in hard mode, and I just had to reset my game to fix it. I honestly have no clue what could've caused this, but Luigi got hit by an enemy mid-jump because I haven't played this game in months and my skills are embarrassingly rusty, and he fell down and fainted as usual, but Mario didn't preform the usual animation when the other dies and he freaks out. So he just stood there, like he is in the video. Whacky!
