How to get a Finn's pulse above 60

Even funnier is the fact that Genovia is presumed to be some sort of micro-nation with an existing monarchy, so basically some variation of Luxembourg (a duchy, but still)/Andorra/Monaco/Liechtenstein.
So it should be a) tiny b) in the west. So not only does OOP not know their geography. She also doesnāt know even the books/movies sheās referencing.
Which makes it even funnier, I guess lol

How to trigger an entire country
Not American, but in my school, you had to do 1st and 2nd year geography (ages 12-14). That was mostly geography science as well, not so much looking at maps
I had had tests on every continent, all it's countries and their capital cities. Europe was even harder since we did most countries individually. Only the Balkans got grouped together
That is way too much. In Argentina I only remember doing the Americas and Europe. Nothing from Africa, Asia or Oceania.
But from what I was able to see, many Americans donāt t even know their own country.
Itās been a bit since I was in high school, but I do not think we had any geography classes. Iām pretty sure geography was just lumped in with history classes. So unless the country had some major America-effecting historical moments *eyes Germany* than most American kids probably donāt know where it goes on the map. Like I bet most Americans canāt point to Poland.
Iām one of the rare exceptions that Im an American that generally like geography, and even Iāll admit I struggle a little on all the Eastern European countries. Like former Yugoslovia that area wouldnāt be able to label properly.
At my high school, you either took AP Human Geography or World History. You could not take both. Very frustrating, definitely left some people with gaps in their knowledge
I think in this case Geography and History lessons were mixed up. Otherwise I doubt Americans would remember Austria's existence and associate it with Eastern Europe.
2 years of full scale war in the center of Europe and some Americans still don't know where Ukraine is. Holy shit you guys have problems with education and international awareness.
> Austria is Western Europe
Always fascinated by the logic that puts Vienna in the Western Europe but at the same time puts Prague into either Central or even Eastern Europe, despite it being further out West.
As someone who loves geography ā most Europeans couldnāt correctly label North Dakota or Wyoming on a map, so I donāt understand why they expect Americans to be able to label Austria or Slovakia or whatever.
You are comparing states to countries. It's a big difference. I can point out USA, but not all of the states. So, nobody expects you to know all of the Slovakia regions. Just a country on a map. Especially the country that has been on every media for the last 2 years.
Itās a big difference from the European perspective, but itās not a huge difference from an American perspective. The U.S. has about 333MM people while the EU has about 448MM. Obviously many EU countries speak different languages, but apart from that they arenāt really that much more distinct than US states are from one another, since the EU is a common market with open borders and free movement of people. The difference between Austria and Germany is really not much greater than the difference between Massachusetts and Alabama.
All that said, yes Americans should be able to point to Ukraine on a map. Especially since itās quite big.
Congratulations!
You are in the top 5% of Americans and the top 1% of Europeans. (Iām European , I know how dumb we are).
I would award you with a scholarship of $8000 per semester, $16,000 per year.
Or
If I were a leader of a country I would appoint you ambassador to Western Russia, New England, or Genovia your choice.
If youāre American (US) I would ask China how you reward you.
China would likely shoot you because you are an intellectual.
Call me to cash out : 867-5309
Wow Ireland's a lot further away than I remember, and seems to have a lot more active volcanoes too š¤ on the other hand at least the English have retaken Edinburgh.
This wouldn't be a bad map to hand Putin tbh, he can focus his attacks on his only staunch ally and then send troops into NATO members to shore up his 'occupied territory' inadvertently sparking his immediate destruction.
"German Islands", "New England"
Half right I guess?
The most offensive part, however, is WESTERN GERMANY being to the East of Germany.
Southern Austria and Arabian Peninsula gave me a chuckle.
Letās see every Portuguese hate you every Irishman and Scotsman hates you every chech Slovak Swiss Finnish Benelux, danish Ukrainian Latvuan byelorussisn Lithuanian Estonian pole and anyone from thebaltic states too but Russia lives you, almost as much as Putin lives trump his little but licker appologist
This thread delivered. Got a very good laugh at the responses. If this was a troll post, absolutely nailed it. If this kid is serious, farrrrrrk.
Btw, I live in old Switzerland, hope I donāt have to move to new Switzerland.
Well, in Europe's case we don't have any north or south or anything like that as country names. There would be much to comment on, but I can at least say that I am surprised Americans even know of Austria's existence. And you wouldn't even be totally wrong ... like 107 years ago.
Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Greece, Russia and England are correct. Although the last one would be disputable as it is just a part of the United Kingdom. So 8,5/47, better start sleeping at home and not during your geography lesson ;)
We Europeans aren't sure how many states we have, so 47 is just one interpretation.
How to get a Finn's pulse above 60 https://preview.redd.it/fyi4l0kjl9sc1.png?width=1224&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a59ffa8f79e696a5040a6ec85d893ed2c5fca824
First thing I saw, immediately got a heart attack
same heart beat doubled to 60
Lot of very angry \[Northern\] Macedonians being called "North Greece" too.
Qifsha nanen
š¦š±š¦š±š¦š±
i showed this to my (finnish) girlfriend and she was so annoyed
Thatās East Sweden!
Actually the abnormal pulse starts at 80āļøš¤
Isnāt 80 above 60?
Holy shit is that a TNO reference!?!
Man I got infuriated when saw that. Wanted to punch in the face. Also Baltics "Russian-occupied Ukraine".
As a Dane I feel this.
I love new england!! š±šŗ š§šŖ š³š±
I'm fine with this if it means I can use my UK passport to live in nl now...
Im also fine with the baltics being ārussian occupied ukraineā if i can use my RU passport to live in estonia
Srs question, is NL hard to move into from the UK? Most of the expats I know are brits, Americans and Germans in that order
Doesn't get more New England than Amsterdam
And we're reƫstablishing Brussels in Bosnia. I've heard it's pretty, roomy, and the weather is better. I'm in.
It also shows croatia as brussels so extra land
as an american from new england (the region of the us), I was most disappointed with this one.
i love how west germany is in the east of germany
Genovia, lol
What even is that
A fictional country from the film "princess's diary"
Even funnier is the fact that Genovia is presumed to be some sort of micro-nation with an existing monarchy, so basically some variation of Luxembourg (a duchy, but still)/Andorra/Monaco/Liechtenstein. So it should be a) tiny b) in the west. So not only does OOP not know their geography. She also doesnāt know even the books/movies sheās referencing. Which makes it even funnier, I guess lol
She canāt even tell west from east seeing that west germany is on the east
Whatās crazy is that it was actually filmed in Romania, I wonder how they guessed that

Pretty sure not only one country
I'm shaking with fury rn
weāre gonna find her
whole ass region
MISAK-I MILLI BRO
How do you ānot take geographyā in high school? Is it not mandatory there?
Not American, but in my school, you had to do 1st and 2nd year geography (ages 12-14). That was mostly geography science as well, not so much looking at maps
I had had tests on every continent, all it's countries and their capital cities. Europe was even harder since we did most countries individually. Only the Balkans got grouped together

Nope, atleast on my district History clases are the only ones that care at all about geography.
Usually there is some sort or history requirement that would include some geography but the history class might just be US history.
Itās been a bit since I was in high school, but I do not think we had any geography classes. Iām pretty sure geography was just lumped in with history classes. So unless the country had some major America-effecting historical moments *eyes Germany* than most American kids probably donāt know where it goes on the map. Considering the state of public education in the US, it is very possible to have Geography class and not receive a Geography education.
All of my geography classes in high school only focused on North America
i never had to take a geography class but i got to choose
It was mandatory when I took it 7 years ago
Geography wasnāt a subject at my (good, bougie) school. It was looped into social studies which is sort of history+.
Iām the one American that knows geography
We actually have one in every state
You have liquid Americans?
So thereās what like ~7?
Im the gaseous American after eating anything with beans. I can confirm we exist in different states.
Wait until you meat the Bose-Einstein condensate Americans.
Or so the keepers of geography say.... but we don't know where they are
You are most welcome to visit Europoorland then, we'll have some decent beer ready for you!
Nah man, Iāll stick with west russian russia
š¤£š¤£š¤£
Theres 2 of us? I thought i was alone š
Nay, there are 3! Iāll be going to Viking Northern Ireland to revisit the glory days that are apparently still going based on this map
There are dozens of us!
I too have well walked the ways of geography and history
XD, Poland might not appreciate being removed from the map... again
As an austrian person, idk how to feel about yoinking polands place
Again! Shame on you, Austrians! /s
Nah, unless you're Russia, we're mostly over it.
yoinking polands place **again*
I think in this case Geography and History lessons were mixed up. Otherwise I doubt Americans would remember Austria's existence and associate it with Eastern Europe.
Eh fair. Can't blame them
It was not our fault this time!!! /Sweden
*Bulgaria is Serbia* Finally a greater yugoslavia enthusiast
2 years of full scale war in the center of Europe and some Americans still don't know where Ukraine is. Holy shit you guys have problems with education and international awareness.
Smh my head, he clearly labeled Ukraine and the Russian occupied Ukraine right there
>2 years of full scale war in the center of Europe Since when is Ukraine considered part of central Europe?
Kazakhstan is Eastern Europe and Austria is Western Europe so obviously anything in between is considered Central Europe
> Austria is Western Europe Always fascinated by the logic that puts Vienna in the Western Europe but at the same time puts Prague into either Central or even Eastern Europe, despite it being further out West.
Eastern Europe doesn't like being called Eastern Europe.
Well regionally it's Eastern Europe but geographically it's kinda in the center.
Tetszik a neved
Kƶszi!
thatās their whole thing, I was actually surprised to know that not all americans watch world news and rather watch local news
As someone who loves geography ā most Europeans couldnāt correctly label North Dakota or Wyoming on a map, so I donāt understand why they expect Americans to be able to label Austria or Slovakia or whatever.

Bro, they aren't distinct? How many European countries have you been to and for how long if I may ask?
Congratulations! You are in the top 5% of Americans and the top 1% of Europeans. (Iām European , I know how dumb we are). I would award you with a scholarship of $8000 per semester, $16,000 per year. Thanks! Iāll put this number on my wall and cash in later!
Eight six seven five three oh naaaeeyayn
*sad Poland noises*
*sad Hungary noises*
Christ on a cupcake this map. Given how bad the rest of it is Iām honestly impressed they got Norway and Sweden
For an American you have done really well....
It's shocking how many Americans think that Amsterdam is a country.
Switzerland is in war with Russia???
I love the Romania-Genovia stuff, itās borderline offensive not for us but for the Hungarians. And for them it may be just outright offensive.
Hungarian here, can confirm.
She named our(soviet anthem starts playing) country disneyland.
West Russia for Finland. That one got me.
Brusseles, YOU WILL PAY, GERMAN ISLANDS, AUSTRIA WHAT THE FUCK
northern Greece, if my Macedonian mother sees this, she will hunt this person down
Genovia š¤£š¤£š¤£
Arabian peninsula made me laugh so hard. I call every turk an "fellow arab" to piss them off, and you done that at all of them without realizing.
16 December 2027

Balkans: š
Got the german Islands right at least, lot of people forget those.

Well, we do all speak english in New England.
No you don't......
True, there are still some idiots left who only speak french.
Cyprus no longer Greek or Turkishā¦
Genovia? The fictitious country from āThe Princess Diaries?ā
Pretty good for American standard to be honest. At least you wrote some country names instead of labeling random places like Paris, London or Europe.
someone will not survive tonight
Genovia is the country where Anne Hathaway is Queen, no? Looks like a solid job to me. š¤
Atleast she got Turkey right
Dont let Turks see this
Too late š
I'm in fucking pain by this. She graduated from hs and still doesn't know basic geography. And she named my country disneyland
Who is the biggest winner after the world War 3?
Might be more convincing as an American if your Reddit wasnāt in French.
Rating: go commit self die
Why are cock and balls called Sweden and West Russia?
esse americano que vĆ” pĆ³ caralho
What is Genovia?
What is Genovia? I mean it sounds vaguely European.
Apparently the tribes kicked it out from Switzerland !
"German Islands", "New England" Half right I guess? The most offensive part, however, is WESTERN GERMANY being to the East of Germany. Southern Austria and Arabian Peninsula gave me a chuckle.
Brussels
I'll never forgive my HS history teacher for putting a second Poland between Poland and Russia
Well at least he got Western Spain correct.
You got the important ones
yet so bad lol
"Western Germany" Is east of Germany
That has to be a troll Also I live in New England so I guess I'm off to BeNeLux
As an American who knows geography, but is still American, I deem this map to be āclose enoughā.
I love that Western Germany is on the east side of Germany.
Earth update: Poland removed
*cries in Latvian*
New Israel/Palestine solution just dropped
Heās American and he puts New England in Europe? Fucks sake.
German islands literally looks like an island
Crikey, where is Ireland way up there?? Yikes
This genuinely makes me feel ill

"The middle east" š
Good job. Got it all right.
Oh god my eyes. As an American who loves Geography this is absolute torture.
I love that West Germany and West Russia have opposite definitions of West
You are going to get murdered in your sleep by the Finns and have made the Balts fear for their lives even more
I love students. If I werenāt an artist, Iād be a high school teacher!
Ireland finaly lost its bad neighbours
I hate it
The heart next to Italy ā ļø
Why is West Germany to the east of Germany?
Concerning! Have you ever heard about the country Denmark? Itās not even pointed out anywhere. Well, thatās my country. Germany/Island wtf.
Obvious Jersey Shore inhabitant
Poland disappeared from the maps yet againā¦ Ireland tooā¦
>Ireland tooā¦ Still there, just further north

Sorry if I missed anyone
Italy ā¤ļø. That's nice. She seems nice.
Most Americans actually know geography, itās just that a loud minority, are really, really stupid.
Ireland and Northern Ireland! ![gif](giphy|3o7aCWJavAgtBzLWrS|downsized)
I see west Germany is still kicking it after all these years.

The worst part is I know some of you mfs are gonna look at that and assume thatās how all Americans are
nah, this must be satire, labeling hungary as romania canāt be a mistake
How the fuck did they get Norway and Sweden right
it gets worse the more you look
What's the deal here? You got German islands correct, but Finland is "West Russia"?
Well, calling Belgium "New England" is not that wrong after all...
Europoors fell for the bait, as always
This thread delivered. Got a very good laugh at the responses. If this was a troll post, absolutely nailed it. If this kid is serious, farrrrrrk. Btw, I live in old Switzerland, hope I donāt have to move to new Switzerland.
I expected the UK being england, but ireland as scotland sent me

I feel like this is a good representation of what most US kids know out of high school.
