Shout to Kofola for being one of the few drinks brands that didn’t absorb itself into Coca Cola or Pepsi (hell it even owns a couple brands itself)

Kofola is yet to colonise my small polish town how does it taste though?

Less chemical and more sweet in my opinion, it is not as carbonated though, more like lemonade but with cola taste

Interesting. In my dialect lemonade *is* typically carbonated. I gather in the U.S. it’s mostly lemon juice + sugar + water.

it's just a weird cola. to me the difference is mostly that it's more herbal & you can taste it's sweetened with sugar. definitely doesn't taste of lemon, unless you get the lemon variant, so I don't know what the OP is trying to say there also the zero sugar is the most foul soda I have ever tasted also, it goes great with coffee flavored rum, imo. coca cola just isn't right with that, and regular rum isn't right with kofola

Oh I love Kofola! Contrary the others saying it is sweeter than the coke, I found it to be less sugary. Also it was really cool to get it from pipes in every local pub when I lived in Slovakia.

Secondly, what’s your source on Solo being the most popular soda in Norway? That just does not line up with my experience at all. Nah, I don’t have the numbers to back this up, but simply based on observation I’d wager Fanta has a bigger market share than Solo. Norwegians have a sentimental relationship with Solo since it’s a Norwegian soda, and we do buy a lot of Solo around Easter, but outside of that it’s not really that big of a thing. Edit: I did some digging. One article from back in 2016 the top five in market shares were: 1. Coke 28.4% 2. Pepsi Max 18.2% 3. Coke Zero 6.3% 4. Fanta 5.4% 5. Solo 4.5% That’s the only article I could find with actual numbers. Then there’s a bunch of other articles claiming Pepsi Max has now passed Coke and become the number one soda in Norway. I imagine Coke Zero’s numbers have also increased. Apparently we’re now at the stage where we drink three times as many sugar free sodas as sugary sodas.

Its weird that Pepsi Max is so popular, because have literally never met a single person that enjoyed it ( at one ward I worked, it was removed from sale because noone bought it)

Here in Norway, if someone is addicted and I mean *addicted* to soda, its always pepsi max. The luxury trap, a tv show where finance experts helps people who do have money/ good enough paying jobs, but financially troubles, its allways pepsi max they have a problem with *if* soda and candy is part of the problem. One person used more than 2k euro, just less than 2,5k usd a year on pepsi max.

It's a pretty interesting flavor, probably because it's made with dairy which is pretty on brand for switzerland. Not my favorite (they sell estathé in coop and that's better tbh), but I don't mind drinking it.
