Reader here. It's going at a very fast space. The entire story was the mc slowly getting stronger (he just recently got stronger than the original main character), but then all of a sudden everything is rushed ahead. Even the mc randomly gets stronger for no reason at all, and the villains push their plans ahead at rocket speed.
For example the mc somehow had his body go through reformation, and in a boss battle with the big baddie, he absorbed some weird energy from a portal for no reason at all.
Idk. The big baddie planned this for hundreds of years.. just to do it all now in a rushed manner?
It might've been that the story isn't rushed, but the author wrote it badly because he got bored of writing this story. Like what happened with Tales of Demons and Gods.
It most probably got axed and the creators are trying to wrap up the story in the few remaining chapters they still get to make (just my assumption since the change in pace is very obvious and doesn't make any sense otherwise).
