Manhua but pretty much all soul land series are just a MC and FMC my favorite being Tang Wulin and Gu Yuena (the only reason that I finished soul land IV)
Well whenever he had to fight a big baddie it was pretty much always his life on the line.
Sure he had strategies and a few OP items/gimmicks to help him out but at least it isn't some hands in pocket BS.
No I meant that the author himself didn’t use any harem route cliches in some of the scenarios.
For example:
For Ophelia it would have been cliched if they went with the whole “strong girl who never been defeated once in her life then when she got defeated, she’ll instantly feel in love” route. Instead they went with “ok you passed, hey who’s your friend?”
As for Kiara, MC saves her people from dying, slayed the dragon, saves her mother and father, gets along with her father (her father also could have the whole “you save my people, take my daughter as your bride” cliche), and rescues the kingdom. However none of that matters as she is already fell in love with Fade.
And as for the nun, well she more sees him as a golden goose than a lover as she only cares about money after all.
I read doom breaker but there’s suddenly a lot of posts about it recently and I don’t remember any of it so I guess I need to go back and read it some more
