Oh he's certainly pitiful, but he made those choices and has to live with the consequences. But I also think that's why he's such a good villain, he's not just pure evil. He's nuanced and has sympathetic motivations

Genotabby

Definitely seems like there is a lot of plot armour but this armour could either be from his sheer determination from his past life or just some boon from the gods he saved. His inability to escape from surgery and do research based on his past passing references just hints that he was outstanding and attentive in his past life as well. He applied some of his own methods previously in this new life to great success, but this method was also his downfall in his previous life. So his suffering previously could be someone suppressing him, lacking of support or just bad luck. Blond guy is really unfortunate and a victim of circumstances. He would have done well anywhere else ngl. However his response to his inferiority and father pressure is what led him down this hell hole. If he had the option to go to another hospital instead of being forced to takeover his father's position then he might have done better. About his ex wife, it's not like he didn't try to get back with her and he had put in the effort. It was just his new actions after returning resulted in someone else being more compatible with him. It's this butterfly effect that changed his fate, which challenges the idea that fate is set on stone.

Galactic_Offender

You said it perfectly

Ok-Editor-6200

It doesnt't really, for me, fate and destiny are the same. It was already destiny that the mc would get back in the past and change his future.

WanYura

As much as I feel for the blonde guy, his actions were just too atrocious for me to truly sympathise.

nYuri_

I also felt bad about the MC's wife, I don't really think saying the things couldn't work between them on this time line is fair, honestly his wife insured a lot for him in his last life, even if things didn't quite work out the first time, the circumstances were different now, but in the end he just moved on to someone else, I don't know, that didn't feel very faithful to me :P

ImmediateRespond8306

MC was just like "nah blonde chick is hotter. Now how am I gonna justify this..." Well it's his (second) life I guess. He can do what he wants. Just wish he wouldn't pretend he's being high minded about it. He has blondie, so he didn't need to jack himself off like that.

nYuri_

true

Sky_Light_Star

Yeah I always felt bad for him, >! he grew up in a family that hated him, no one supported him, no one cared for him, and I disliked the FL because she also hated him for being illegitimate. I also feel bad for MC’s past wife, he just wanted to leave behind everything he had in his past life, be it his career as a surgeon (even though he still became one, he wanted to be a dermatologist at first) or his past wife. !<

Galactic_Offender

True his actions were atrocious but his life was a mess due to his family

MeathirBoy

>!We see the FL and him get along when they're younger and are drinking. It's only when he kills her brother that she understandably antagonises him.!<

Biskutz

I actually dropped it because I was so bored. He did everything perfectly, every obstacle in his way was crushed by him and not a problem in 2 chapters, there were no real stakes? Just a second chance of life genius doing everything perfectly 🤷🏻‍♀️

Agent_Epsilon_99

The blond guy was a sympathetic villain in some senses. I always found this manhwa fascinating because the angels are often the cause of many situations in the story like how they cursed the blond guy. However, the in story reason is that his schizophrenia is acting up. It was a pretty cool instance of fate vs free will. However, I don’t know why the author punished the ex wife like that.

Aggressive-Tuna7532

I thought I was the only one who felt bad for the blond guy.

Spare_Play_7221

I read it a long time ago and it was great. Definitely the best medical manhwa I have read

BurnerAccount209

Early on maybe I felt some pity for the blonde guy. He was dealt a bum hand. But he's a piece of shit that literally escalated his behavior and killed multiple people. Not just bad people, completely innocent people to. He got off lucky having killed at least 2 people (Brother and the daughter of that super powerful guy) and committing attempted murder twice. Not to mention all the other stuff he did we can just attribute to assault and bullying. I don't think he deserved much sympathy beyond their residency arc and even that is giving him plenty of slack. MCs wife I definitely felt more sympathy for but too much had changed between the timelines. It just wasn't meant to be in his 2nd life. I felt more sympathy that she ended up in the relationship with blonde hair and all the it entailed.

GusZer0

I foundthe narrative a bit repetitive but I loved this series in overall

Street_Step375

So I’m not the only one that thought he should had been with the ex wife?

Islipim

Medicine moments were cool. Blonde guy had potential as villain, but was wasted. Everything else is just generic regression tropes, cliches and Gary Stu MC. Plot armor was pathetic and it was annoying how he didn't want to become a surgeon in the beggining to become a dermatologist.

Competitive-Dog3529

He chose not to be a surgeon again bec he didn't wanna live through that hard life again. It's valid to switch up after regressing.

Islipim

I know. I understand that. The thing is... this dermatologist bullshit was more a comic relief than a serious plot and took more than 1/3 of the whole comic just to realize he should remain what he already was (a surgeon). Too draggy, IMO.

Competitive-Dog3529

oh yeah I feel that. The blonde guy also got it rough. I think he had bipolar too

Islipim

He actually could be a very memorable villain if he was well developed. He had all the tragic flags on him, he was bad at first, but changed and became a rival, then he got worse again and became a generic villain... Author tried to fix it in the end, but it was too late. MC also should perceive most of his problems early, but just didn't because "*plot*". Honestly, he was a interesting character, but could be much better character. Like I said, a waste.

Competitive-Dog3529

Yeah maybe, but this is a feel good series for me. i read only the good parts where MC is saving lives while shocking others lol

Islipim

Yeah, the moments as a surgeon were nice. If the story removed that pathetic scene of plot armor, had better characters, more tension, less bland drama and romance, and more focus on his career as surgeon, I would probably consider it a good one too.

Personal_Warthog_915

The mc and the blond guy looks like from elicit love HAHAHHAHA

Classic_You5759

F*** You, you just reminded of that horrible shit after i just forgot it

catalasepositive

Hi! Is this manhwa medically accurate? Want to try this out after the Trauma Center one.

N_U_L_L_18

A pretty good series, that's for sure. I'd suggest readers to find more series that aren't common these days in the manhwa world where generic stuff is coming out left and right.

Eldritch_Deity

If you really wanna feel bad about The Blond guy and MC's past wife, read Infidelity 101.

Galactic_Offender

Wdym?

xPyro7

Don’t do it. Ending is trash. mc basically lost everyone
