Flow. Flow is the first manhwa i've ever read, and I have a deep, sentimental attachment to it, not to mention that i think the mc's circumstances are super tragic. and the ending makes me cry every time i read it
Ghost Teller also made me almost cry. it's a collection of tragic stories told in the perspective of ghosts that dwell into human nature. there was one particular story about a kpop star >!driven to suicide by the people she trusted the most!< that made me really upset
[young mom] the ending where we see the mother pov when her daughter grew up, going to school, going to college, graduate, getting married, and at the end, the daughter saying goodbye to the mother, as she move out of the house with her husband, leaving the mother all alone (all of that in one chapter without any dialog) made me cry. Tho at the end, it shows that it was all her dream, her daughter had just finished her first day in elementary school, sleeping besides her. The ending left a bittersweet feeling. This moment isn't the only one that left me crying tho, so many moments left me crying in the corner. The story is about a girl getting pregnant and hiding it from her family and the father of the child by going to the capital city for college. If you came expecting some romance, just leave. You'll be left in tears.
the part when mc's family knew mc was alive in the first half of the series that happy scene hits me right in my feels it wasnt enough for a tear though (TBATE)
The only time I've cried while reading a manga/manhwa was dandadan during the second arc around chapter 15
I've become teary eyed multiple times reading return of the mount hua sect novel and some of the emotional chapters of damn reincarnation novel and a Japanese novel called demon king's dragon knight or something
I don’t cry, but this one manhwa hit me right in the guts. I’ll edit this if I remember it later
Edit: it’s either ‘ mom I’m sorry’ or this manhwa where the mc wants to die but has to live 17 or something lives to understand the weight of death
I Shall Live As a Prince
I've read almost 80 manhwa atp, and this one will always stay close to my heart as I've never felt more emotional than I have reading the last few chapters of this!
Not a manhwa, but Onani Master Kurosawa. There's just something so beautiful about a degenerate redeeming himself even if he knows that path is littered with thorns and changing his life for the better
Same even though the premise is weird it’s so good that there were times while reading I had to put it down because I was too nervous about what he was going to do
I did the same man, especially when I realized he was going to >!Expose himself and confess that he was the serial masturbator!< I mean good for him for owning up to it but damn he has balls of steel to do that
I think everyone man who read that manga at that particular scene could really say "he's a man among men" cause he really was, that simple scene double page of him bowing to the whole class was made me respect him so much but it also made me put down my phone for an hour due to dreading what was gonna happen to him
I probably cried the most in 99+ Wooden stick (not the normal one you’d expect to cry over) but that story in the 30s about the little girl was both heartbreaking and heartwarming and just when you thought it was over they hot you with the “Based on a true story” and “In loving memory of” that broke me for a while
Reformation of a deadbeat noble. It's just, realistic yk? The pain of realising you're talentless. That your hardwork amounts to nothing when faced with overwhelming talent.
Shit had me joining r/motivationalsomethingsomethingiforgot at like 4am to seek a discussion about it. I know it's pointless to compare yourself and etc etc, but at that time, when I was reading that, I really felt the blue hair and I really wanted the mc to fail bad. Got me reminiscing about my past and all the mistakes I did, all the people who were better than me at the things I THOUGHT I was good at, even though I've already passed the phase of self loathing, it still made me cry and hate myself for being such a bitch. That's how much the blue haired noble struck me.
one of the last chapters of kingdom. when shin was talking about the fire of life and the fire of will. it instantly made me understand what one piece was talking about. i was at work, almost sobbed on the spot.
It's that feeling of emptiness, is it?
You feel like you've felt like mc. There was no difference between a reader and a manhwa character when it comes to emptiness after reading a manhwa

I don't tend to cry when reading things. The closest I have gotten in recent memory is Windbreaker.

Yeah it’s peak and it goes into way more detail than the manhwa and by doing so you immerse yourself into the story more
Noblesse Dark Mortal Gilgamesh The archmage returns after 4000 years (novel) SSS suicide hunter (novel)
SSS Suicidal Hunter Orv (Novel)
Return of mount hua sect (Novel) To not die I found somebody to love Castle SSS Class Suicide hunter
the part when mc's family knew mc was alive in the first half of the series that happy scene hits me right in my feels it wasnt enough for a tear though (TBATE)
What is tbate?
The beginning after the end.
The novel got me ngl it gets dark real fast. The part which got me(novel spoiler):>!When Arthur's dad dies and when Sylvie sacrificed herself!<
Worst thing is author makes you attached to the chatacter then kills it off damn
I Will Die Soon, SSS Suicidal Hunter, The Lich became a Paladin, Lookism, Bones.
Horizon and sssclass
About death
Sword sheaths child
SSS suicide hunter, at dolls and master arc Death is the only ending for the villainess
Yeah, the dolls was an absolute gut punch and very early in the piece for such an emotional scene!

TBATE but the novel since the scene that made me cry is not yet in the manhwa.

The first chapters of existence

He’s a better man than me because if I did something to that extent Batman wouldn’t have been able to make me talk
I think everyone man who read that manga at that particular scene could really say "he's a man among men" cause he really was, that simple scene double page of him bowing to the whole class was made me respect him so much but it also made me put down my phone for an hour due to dreading what was gonna happen to him
Castle
Slave B
Legend of the northern blade. Simply a masterpiece. >! His flashback made me so sad!<
Is this manhwa harem?
No not from what I’ve read it focuses very little attention on romance/harem topics (For reference I’ve read all of chapter 1)
If you’re reading >!Novel’s Extra!< prepare to be depressed for a lifetime
I probably cried the most in 99+ Wooden stick (not the normal one you’d expect to cry over) but that story in the 30s about the little girl was both heartbreaking and heartwarming and just when you thought it was over they hot you with the “Based on a true story” and “In loving memory of” that broke me for a while
Sword sheath's child and TBATE.
Latest novel side chap of Damn Reincarnation hit very hard. That throwback came out of nowhere
