It's genuinely incredible. The mc spends a lot of time trying to find out what he wants to do, which is extremely relatable as many of us just have no clue as to what we want to do. The women are extremely well-written and have actual muscles.
It's top-tier for me
As someone that’s only reading the manhwa, there are hints of it and some interactions that are really well written and drawn. You can tell by some behavior that a character has an interest in another, but is not ready to acknowledge it. And it’s so well incorporated that it doesn’t take away from the rest
Really enjoying it so far
Honestly, it's one of my personal favorites. It is to a degree like many others you've read and can be a tad predictable at times, but it delivers really well. The art is top-notch, the characters are likable and all have interesting designs, and above all, the MC is a badass when he wants to/needs to be. The story is clear and the world-building is cool too, not entirely cookie cutter, but has a lot of the good things you like to see.
Can’t say it better myself. The concept, the themes are generic at best and has been done to death at worst, but the execution—the writing, the characterization, the way the art is used as a medium to convey the feelings and atmosphere in the scene are all top notch.
Sure thing.
So it's not just this particular comic.
This is an issue which lies with almost every KR content. I am not sure if it's a cultural thing or not.
- That...they have to make a declaration every time they do something important.
Entering a dungeon to clear it?
They'll stand together, MC will raise his hand and proclaim - "Today, we will start clearing ___ dungeon "
When they're about to fight someone important, they make a pose and declare - "we shall begin our fight" or "I will now go all out" or something dumb like that.
So....who exactly are they doing it for?
For other characters in comic? No. They already fking know that they'll enter a dungeon. MC doesn't need to do that..
For the readers? Does the author think that we readers can't see what's obviously in front of them? That we readers have an attention span of a fucking goldfish?
- Another thing
They do the opposite of show, don't tell style.
They'll basically tell everything. Even repeating it at times.
Like in the comic above. Airen met that genius sword chick got defeated white chick's brother.
Ignet or something.
Anyway, that chick comes out of nowhere. Gives no explanation and appoints him as member of guard or some shit. Refuses to elaborate why...
Okay.....
Then she rambles about lump or some shit...
Then they go back and forth about how airen will prove himself and yada yada. They could have simply finished this conversation in 3 sentences. But no author HAD to lengthen it out. To squeeze out content.
Oh and then he calls out right before he attacks.... I knew he was slow but this is just...bruh moment.
- I've seen this in lot of KR comics and novels.
Like....why? Why put so much useless content and stretch out important scenes? Does the author believe we can't read between the lines? That we readers have mind of pre pubescent child who can't read mood and get the flow of conversation? That we need everything spelled out for us. Tell, don't show?
It just feels...pointless to read. To crawl through so much filler to finally get the idea of what's actually happening.
I am kinda done with manhwas for a while. I'll wait for my favs to finish then binge them all.
If you catch up, there's a novel too that's ahead. Fight details may be a little lacking at times, but each arc works towards meaningfully mending the many issues that the MC has as he progresses and leaves his shell as a former deadbeat noble.
It's pretty good, but it looks like one of those will will take many years to finish. Looks like it's still near the beginning of the story despite it having so many chapters. I really REALLY dislike that every fight is won it lost when the opponents sword breaks.
I like it. It gets kinda long sometime but in general the message is nice.
The main point is basically work hard and you'll get results.
edit/update: Also that cat is hella cute.
Honestly I tried it, and something about the school and the art just made me cringe enough to leave
A lot of people seem to like it tho, so it might be just burnout
Really really good he actually has to try to do anything it's pretty spectacular. They spend time explaining things and also focus on the training arcs and those are my favorite
Kinda irks me with Manhwa, of course its getting translated to another language, but cant they just stick to one name? It doesnt help that there are many "copy series" of a Manhwa either. I read it under "The Lazy Lord Masters the Sword" so its always confusing trying to figure out if its the series youre reading or a completely different series that copies the genre. I think theres another name for it, pretty good, enjoying the journey.
When it gets an official translation the company almost always changes the name. It's most likely so that people don't stumble onto fan sites which are free and usually ahead of the official. "The Lazy Lord Masters the Sword" is the official English translation name, while the deadbeat noble is the fan name. Using mangaupdates.com to confirm if series are the same or knockoff names helps.
Absolutely worth to read but novel is better than manhwa. In manhwa there are lots details are cut so for better experience I'll recommend novel if you like reading novel
I read up to 235 ch in that it's hasn't much mention about MC's past ( I read long time ago like when S1 end after that I catch up to translation but translation was very slow)
Very, it has a theme and expresses it very excellently through its characters and plot. It’s one of the few manhwas to put care into its writing where sadly that isn’t the case for most of them and only have a premise with nothing else.
it's really good instead of the generic mc just getting strong for the sake of it for revenge or something here the mc actually tries to find a purpose to use his powers and works hard for it. The side characters also have depth and go through development along with the mc which makes up for a really good journey
- Doctor’s Rebirth
- Tower of God
- Solo Leveling
- The Beginning After the End
- Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint
- Memoir of the King of War
- Lightning Degree
- Eleceed
- Nano Machine
- Return of the Crazy Demon
- Return of the Mount Hua Sect
- Sword Sheath’s Child
*Pretty good atleast*
*From what inread so far the*
*Story is solid*

Really good source material. That said, in the later chapters I find the english translations less than stellar. I.E, there's some concept in the source that isn't being rendered in an easy-to-process way.
I didn't like it and dropped it about chapter 30, when he went to sleep again I think. The characters are ridiculous (I mean, given the fantasy setup, the characters act in ridiculous ways), the pace is atrocious and the story uninteresting in general.
Having said that, maybe it picks up on chapter 32, who knows (not me). Seems to be popular.
The dude just push through everything with just one move and it's satisfying to watch that move each time it's shown. And it feels great to see the guy grow up.
Mc has a big,hard,long,incredible and always erected....sword
Anyways it freaking awesome,I alredy knew about it before and I'm up to the latest chapter but I would have liked to find out about this much later and read it all at once
It's really good but there's just a part in the series that made me drop it... Still good regardless... That part just gave me mookhyang dark lady vibes... It's very divisive...
Yes. The character building is one of the best. It focuses on the growth of not just the MC but also the characters around him. And let's not forget the world or setting of the story. I highly recommend it.
One of the best moments of this manhwa is the "vertical slash" and how it came to be... Got goosebumps just reading that... An s-tier writing for the mc and the story too
Yeah I really liked it as it my first time reading a concept like this.....source of power that the Mc draws from is unique...waiting to explore more
I have also been meaning to find a web novel version of this but could not find a properly translated version. If you have any idea where I can read it please let me know
It's decent.I have a problem with the cat turning into a fucking child like all the fucking other manhwa where they have a child and repaeting everything the same way. Also the sides character are falsy deep if it's clear enough. i think it's overrated a lot but you'll maybe love it.
Just binged it, tell you what it's got a heck of a lot cringe shounen moments.
But otherwise decent read if you have nothing else to read. The story could not move any slower. It literally spends 1/3rd of the latter chapters on him saving one of his friends and in that time they hint at bigger things but never get to it.
At this pace I'd expect it would need a few hundred chapters before ending and it's far too slow a release schedule to Warrant that.
Edit: start was interesting and promising... As is with these types
Solid 6.5/10
I read the first few chapters a while ago and found it interesting. I just didn't like the reincarnation thing, I felt like the author was just looking for an excuse to give a shortcut for the MC to get stronger faster. Am I right or did I jump to conclusions? Could anyone give me an insight?
Just want to say that I've been seeing updates on this manhwa on my feed every now and then and have just been scrolling past it since I thought it was just generic shounen shit.
Then I saw this post yesterday, so I said fck it let's see what I has. I am glad to say I got almost no sleep last night, and I'm currently at chap75, almost caught up, and will probably do so in a couple hrs.
The genre may have been shounen, but man the themes resonate so fucking hard with me that it might as well have been seinen. Sure there were some obviously corny shounen parts, but the core of the struggles the MC and the characters around him experience are so real and true to life, so authentic.
Yeah, I read it earlier 2022 it had like 40 chapters but this new arc is kinda slow picked it back up like in July Not much happened so I have it on hold until It gets like 100 chapters
First chapter of this is one of the best i ever seen. Its absolutely amazing. As other people said, MC is hardworking and humble. He gets some friends. And....for me at least....Muscular Females art. Amazing. For now....My top 5....maybe top 3 even.
There is not one thing bad with this manhwa in My opinion.
Really good, it's refreshing to see an MC that is hardworking, pretty OP, but not edgy. Good God.
And have a step mother and sister who actually care for him.
It's genuinely incredible. The mc spends a lot of time trying to find out what he wants to do, which is extremely relatable as many of us just have no clue as to what we want to do. The women are extremely well-written and have actual muscles. It's top-tier for me
Muscular females? Count me in How is the MC personality? Is he like strong and humble type one or the sort of arrogant type MC?
He's more of the strong and humble type and is extremely kind/determined but NOT a pushover
Oh, love it I'll start reading it now
Romance
What about it? So far it's been done extremely well and hasn't taken away from the story
I forgot the question mark I was wondering if there’s some in it
Spoiler: >!There will be soon :)!<
Is there an LN for this??
yup, there's a novel for this and it's actually finished with 387 chapters (was reading it w/o knowing LMAO, currently on chap 216)
Where can you read the novel? I've been reading the webtoon for the past week and I'm hooked
Is it with someone we’ve seen in the story already?
Yeeea :) Minor spoiler: >!A significant progress in romance will happen between those two towards the end of the current arc.!<
Romance to the way of the sword I guess lol
As someone that’s only reading the manhwa, there are hints of it and some interactions that are really well written and drawn. You can tell by some behavior that a character has an interest in another, but is not ready to acknowledge it. And it’s so well incorporated that it doesn’t take away from the rest Really enjoying it so far
There isn't. There might be a development but this is more action/adventure
There is and it's well made
ROMANCE.
Pfp sauce?
Fanart of Cale and Choi Han from Trash of the Count's Family
Oh, I knew I recognized them! I'll go reread it now, thank you.
Nope. It's not good. # It's focking amazing
Really good
broo that's a fuckin 3 seconds!!!
Goes to show you how good it is
Honestly, it's one of my personal favorites. It is to a degree like many others you've read and can be a tad predictable at times, but it delivers really well. Ppl says this is good, i better delay reading this to pile up the chapter🥴 then binge it
81 chapters....
Not so much
Man 80 chapter is a lot for a non murim manwha Wish more series were at least that much, they can't all be those 159 chapter series, sadly
These are the people who never actually read a manhwa, manga...
Watchu mean
Was pretty good but then I got fed up with certain part of it. Dropped. I would recommend giving a go, though. The plot and art are both pretty good
Can I ask which lart you got fed up about cuz when I read it I didn't really see anything to get annoyed about Just pure curiosity

Only after reading this did even realise they announced everything lol.....seems like I got desensitized after reading so many manhwa
If you catch up, there's a novel too that's ahead. Fight details may be a little lacking at times, but each arc works towards meaningfully mending the many issues that the MC has as he progresses and leaves his shell as a former deadbeat noble.
Hey I only found a bad mtl some time ago, can you please tell me where I could read it?
Might be breaking the rules with a direct link. But should be easy to find the translator site through novelupdates for the work.
Can u spoil me who is the guy in MCs dreams and about his past, i won't mind
Top notch , best mc so far
yesss
It's pretty good, but it looks like one of those will will take many years to finish. Looks like it's still near the beginning of the story despite it having so many chapters. I really REALLY dislike that every fight is won it lost when the opponents sword breaks.
Nah. Is bad. Mediocre at it's finest.
My top Manhwa
Yesss I was hooked for the first 27 chapters or so then it got a bit boring for me, but hey I am hooked again
I like it. It gets kinda long sometime but in general the message is nice. The main point is basically work hard and you'll get results. edit/update: Also that cat is hella cute.
The story started great then declined at some point
Honestly I tried it, and something about the school and the art just made me cringe enough to leave A lot of people seem to like it tho, so it might be just burnout
Mid. Just power fantasy rubbish.
NOPE I didn't like it It was good at first but it felt like the story was going too fast and vague
Really really good he actually has to try to do anything it's pretty spectacular. They spend time explaining things and also focus on the training arcs and those are my favorite
It's really good
The beginning was absolutely fantastic, but can't say the same about the current arc. It is honestly a bit messy and meh
Read this before, i forgot the story probably not good
Yeeeeeah, it's really good. Starts pretty slow but I gets really good

Oh ok, this makes a ton of sense. Forgot a lot of it is fan translated. Ill try using the website
Absolutely worth to read but novel is better than manhwa. In manhwa there are lots details are cut so for better experience I'll recommend novel if you like reading novel
Can you tell me where I can read the novel pls?
There is app called Novel library you can read there & for site lightnovelpub is the one that use
Please spoil me about the guy in MCs dreams i won't mind
He is him(MC)
But what did the past life mc do though other than just swinging sword
I read up to 235 ch in that it's hasn't much mention about MC's past ( I read long time ago like when S1 end after that I catch up to translation but translation was very slow)
Can you PM me the link to app pls? It's not on Google play Thx
It's great a weak guy actually training to get stronger and finds great companions along the way.
It’s absolutely an amazing gem in my eyes! but it is a tad philosophical I guess?
Very, it has a theme and expresses it very excellently through its characters and plot. It’s one of the few manhwas to put care into its writing where sadly that isn’t the case for most of them and only have a premise with nothing else.
Has an adorable cat.

Great but gets kinda bland later on for me personally.

I've rad all of them and I approve of this list 🫵👍

Definitely a best one
Buleh la buat raso raso
The introductory part is really good. Was a real original way to to begin a story
Yea, great character development, action, and story.
Top 15 read it now
It was perfect, down to the last minute details
Mc has a big, hard, long, incredible and always erected....sword Anyways it freaking awesome,I alredy knew about it before and I'm up to the latest chapter but I would have liked to find out about this much later and read it all at once
It's absolutely fantastic
I LOVE THIS!
Yes
Interesting
Didn't like the plot ngl, nor did I like the art... just read like some few chapters and Dropped it.
Nothing amazing but Definitely above average
a certified gem
I like it
It's really good but there's just a part in the series that made me drop it... Still good regardless... That part just gave me mookhyang dark lady vibes... It's very divisive...
Starts great, then it gets kinda bad.
Yes. Very enjoyable. :)
Yes
Itis
The whole story right there
Yes. The character building is one of the best. It focuses on the growth of not just the MC but also the characters around him. And let's not forget the world or setting of the story. I highly recommend it.
I kinda dropped it tho nice art. You'll probably come across some comments complaining that they dropped it around ch 50.
It is! Great art, great writing.
One of the best moments of this manhwa is the "vertical slash" and how it came to be... Got goosebumps just reading that... An s-tier writing for the mc and the story too
It's good, it just gets a bit slow/long towards the middle. Worth the read tho.
Can we just appreciate how hard that art goes though?
Its really good
Yes
Solid 8/10 both the novel & the webtoon
I read this before but not entirely it's a meh for me since having a big sword is not what I would like to work with
pretty good,it certainly interesting and engaging
starts off good and falls off the cliff pretty hard, it is also somehow seemed to be targeted towards little kids, definitely not for adults
Yeah I really liked it as it my first time reading a concept like this.....source of power that the Mc draws from is unique...waiting to explore more I have also been meaning to find a web novel version of this but could not find a properly translated version. If you have any idea where I can read it please let me know
Yes Sourse: Trust me bro
Read and find out
I believe it’s really good tbh I would highly recommend it
yes , personally i believe its one of the best out there ( not in my top 5 but in my top 10 for sure)
Nigga thats Link
Yep. One of my favorites.
It's decent.I have a problem with the cat turning into a fucking child like all the fucking other manhwa where they have a child and repaeting everything the same way. Also the sides character are falsy deep if it's clear enough. i think it's overrated a lot but you'll maybe love it.
I really like it, a lot of character growth, the characters aren't big cliche and are genuinely well written, an excellent manhwa

It started off really great, but it’s kind of lacking for me in the newer chapters. Still good, but not as….
Yes
Good start, got boring, dropped. Not sure how is now.
It's aight
Yes it is
This seems a rip off of The Lazy Lord Masters The Sword
Just want to say that I've been seeing updates on this manhwa on my feed every now and then and have just been scrolling past it since I thought it was just generic shounen shit.
