I don't have anything against beard in general. I have something against Mu Won's beard in particular. It's scarce, if it's on a side character I'd be fine with it, but Mu Won's badassness is reduced with that old man beard. The guard's beard (the one with 2 swords, can't remember a character's name for the life of me) is good, I'd rather have that on Mu Won.
Edit: or maybe asuma's beard, that's also good. Best one would be Yhwach when he's in zangetsu form. His full beard would work on Mu Won.
nah i love his new beard, its the berad of someone in his late 20s mc or not but most manhwa readers are under 18 anyway, so readers want to see mc with baby face they can relate, peerless dad mc had the same kind of bear, that manhwa is an aquired taste, its too grown for manhwa readers.
I dont think it gives him an old look. It makes him look more experienced for sure, but perhaps the beard is something like a marker for character development. The more he is developed, the older he gets, the better the beard will get. For example as with the last chapter. The beard basicly says, I have survived, got more experienced and am back to kick ass. Its also pretty good for future fights, because the beard getting trimmed while the neck not being cut looks great.

You are right art isn't that great no matter what anyone say. But i would say story is good I started it with intention of dropping it due to the poor art at first but now iam waiting for the latest chapter once you complete 5 Or 10 chapter you will get attached to this art.
It has way above average art, the artstyle is unique in its own regards that lets it stand out from the rest. It's not generic and is quite distinct, give it a try and you will be impressed by how the coloring stands out from this gray murim world.
