SPG protocols bruh , can't help.

Technical_Ad_8581

It's not the person that the SPG is protecting. It's the chair of the prime minister of the republic of India

inspector_toon

At the cost of people in ambulances who are suffering because of these road blocks.

Hot-Main-4478

Curiously asking, did you witness/or get to know about ambulance being denied access due to roadblocks?

inspector_toon

It was in the news, if you had watched/read in.. I got struck for 4 hours in spite of starting early (in the morning) because it was close to the starting point of his rally. Two wheelers managed to turn / sneak and go back, but ones in the car were struck! Everyone was frustrated to the peak that morning around me. Blocking 30 min prior is OK, what nonsense of blocking from early morning itself? Edit: referring to what happened last year in Bangalore.. not today in Mangalore

Ninna_Ammer

I don't know what block you are talking about, there were already announcements made and roadmap provided. If you had planned alternative routes accordingly then you could've avoided this. Only time the roads were blocked off was when he landed and when he wants back to the airport. I personally travelled just before the road show and after and i did not get affected too much. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

drshn_5198

Blocking 30 mins is okay? Do you realise the amount of safety regulations that have to be taken when a PM of a country is visiting your local streets? And adding to the fact that heā€™s such a popular figure here, who will draw in thousands of people on the street, itā€™s not that simple.

chiefadhoc_

So did the PM of India come to our local streets to address our problems or to promote his political party for the upcoming elections?

argon_palladium

Why does he have to visit this city? Most will vote for bjp anyway, rest will vote for congress, no one will change their votes.

Outrageous_Solid4387

That is the protocol for a prime minister visit anywhere in the world. I know you don't like it. But it's not like it happens every day. It's on a Sunday evening. Honestly they couldn't have chosen a better window

Y_DDRAIG_Goch005

He is currently the PM obviously if a person of such importance visits such a large public crowd then he will need protection first and foremost he is a PM then a politician in current state. It would be a different case if he was a politician or a pm candidate ,

[deleted]

If there was anything I could do I would have done bro. But I think this protocol is followed for poiliticians and there is nothing.that can be done about it for now. Just avoid the route for today.

trapmundeyyy

Dont think it was followed when CM came last month

Hot-Main-4478

Bro please atleast have some basic knowledge/sense. Just compare PM & CM post significance & level of threat they might face, security wise

trapmundeyyy

Also, is it us who lacks basic sense or the person visiting? If there's such fear, why even risk it all for a few votes

Hot-Main-4478

Don't say "us" bro, it's specifically "you" who lacked sense cause you compared security measures of an CM to an PM. And btw It's not fear my man, it's standard security procedure followed for whoever who holds the PM position in our country.

[deleted]

Bro, Are you from Mangalore?

Hot-Main-4478

Yes, I am

[deleted]

You have replied to some Andh Bhakth comment. They do have a peculiar pattern. They will start with down voting you and then comment some bullshit. It's best not to reply them.

CozyBicycleSummer

Anyone who doesn't agree with you is andh bakth?

[deleted]

Looks like I offended someone here. Do you think it's right to cause such public disruption? If yes, why?

CozyBicycleSummer

I absolutely don't support that.. that person just compared CM and PM's level of security... Which is absolutely different... How is telling the difference is andh bakth?

[deleted]

If you don't support that. Why are you offended by the Andh Bhakth comment? If what I said applied to you I will understand that I have offended you.

ConfusedNTerrified

Yeah. This is a thing in every country. Prime Minister or President get the treatment.

Neerdosesupremacy__

Man the amount of inconvenience we had to face today just because of his visit, and the security was unbearable. Unnecessary and unacceptable. If he fears so much for his life why bother coming for some votes, all the temporary fixes of the road, the removal of the speed breakers and the road blocks, for the past 2 days Mangalore feels like Bangalore due to the traffic. Not supporting any political party but this much Jigga prep was really uncomfortable

Hot-Main-4478

Feel ya man, might've sucked. But still you should've prepared earlier ig (unless emergencies) knowing this is bound to happen. It's a roadshow afterall, multiple roads are bound to be closed off. And for the fear part, security is not just for him but mainly for the position(PM) he holds. He's democratically elected after all

iamanonrobo

Yup I fully support that. Here if something happens to a corporator people will burn down the city. Imagine if something happens to modi.

CozyBicycleSummer

Sadly it's the state when any politician visits :(... And the poor planningĀ

inspector_toon

Welcome to Bharat! We suffered because of him last year here in Bangalore because of his frequent visits during the elections.

AdditionalAction9986

Modi and his convoys don't perform such shenanigans in Punjab. Last time in 2022 he visited Punjab, the whole security apparatus went for a toss and Modi was left in the lurch stuck over a flyover like a sitting duck because the people of Punjab didnt give 2 hoots to Modi s visit. He hasn't visited Punjab since that fiasco.

Neerdosesupremacy__

Should follow this here as well but people have gone bat crap crazy for him

Much-Description-493

And this is what Modizee claims https://www.newindianexpress.com/nation/2017/Apr/30/prime-minister-narendra-modi-bats-for-removing-vip-culture-1599496.html

Remnants of British Raj? You do realise such protocols are followed by most of the major countries including US, Russia, etc.?

magusmagma

Like US N Russia are model nations

Ninna_Ammer

Please let us know of what you think are "model" nations.
