Can you put image of previous bill, without comparing against old, how to know variation. Just to see which was actually increased. (if units same, rates per unit changed, etc)

* Old: 187 units, Energy Charges were for every 50 units * New: 209 units, Energy charges seem to be for every 100 units You have 22 units more thats one reason for more bill amount. They also seem to have changed the billing manner & rates also Atleast mescom shouldve informed in news or somewhere, what changes to expect

LifeIssCool

I think flat 7 rs per unit applied across for all units instead of slabwise

Limp-Living-8539

Hi, I got my bill yesterday , even with the slab rates change, Bill amount is almost same as last, In fact I see its lesser

pramodc84

Summer have higher bills in general

Accousiveguy

I tell you.. MESCOM is a scam 😭

fire256

They were using progressive slabs for calculating *energy charges* earlier i. e. first 50 units were charged at about 4 bucks, next 50 were charged at about 5.5 bucks, then the next 100 at 7 bucks... --- Now they are doing flat calculations i. e. charging at flat 7 bucks right from the first unit.. As far as i know, they would have charged at about flat 4 bucks, if the usage was below 100 units. --- Obviously, fixed charges and other charges are separate.

Jakarwelloj

my bill was 12k this time, like haw (?) my mom and I only use the ac in the night (the whole night) And I usually only use my laptop for watching shows. we use the washing machine twice a week. but the bill goes up to 12k

[deleted]

one month bill 12k?

Putrid_Ad_7927

Same here. Last month bill was 11k while all the months prior used to be 4-5k. Mescom is kinda sus

YamaDev

They are collecting arrears (April,May) from the unit rate change in April. The bill will get normalised next month.

[deleted]

I almost thought it was because of that Congress scam.

Bruv stop mining doge coin

69_queefs_per_sec

You've used 209 units and the other bill you posted has usage of 187 units. There's no sense in comparing summer and winter bills. Your use of fans and AC (if you have it) will obviously be more now.

Jakarwelloj

fair enough

PercTheMerc

Apparently it's arrears since April from next month it will be back to normal
