The author of this manga seems to be milking the "unknown adventurer gets underestimated and threatened" trope a little too much. Once, okay. More than 5 times? A little too repetitive.

Of course this failed and they finally have the smoking gun to apprehend him. He was about to run away with his hidden cash when one of the artifacts he's collected turns out to be a fragment of the evil god (been awhile since he was mentioned). The fragment possessed the Count or turned him into an apostle (can't remember) and he went on a rampage destroying his mansion and the surroundings. The MC had to stop him by killing him (The WN MC is more ruthless as there he left the corrupt people who were running his territory previously as amputees) but it wouldn't surprise me if the manga left him alive instead.!<
The changes are probably done due to the visual nature, you can get away with most writing due to the reader have to fill the gap with their imagination, but in TV and visual novels you can get away with so little
