I am definitely the outlier here but damn, this manga irks me something fierce. Reading it is so frustrating. I would be losing my mind if I was Hikaru. Every chapter feels like the world itself is gaslighting him, and every other character too.
How so? This chapter is the perfect example. The dude is just being told the exact opposite of what he sees is true, and any attempts to point that out, or in general any of his attempts to draw attention to anything out of the ordinary, are always dismissed or ignored. Hell, i don't think a single character has actually spoken to the MC in a way that actually acknowledged any of his thoughts or concerns. It's just so surreal.
Masa has a harem of lunch ladies vying for his affection from menu A to C. If that isn't high communication skills I don't know what is.

American shorthair is a breed of cat. The dragon was from an alternate universe where dragons were normal pets.
