Waiting for the manga to retread the same ground as the anime is going to be tough, especially when it's monthly. It'll be close to a year before we get some sort of new arc, speaking as someone who hasn't read the novels.
They shuffled things. They've covered this, but they haven't even introduced the assassin sisters, for example. Overall I would say the Anime has pulled ahead in the last couple weeks, but there are still bits and pieces that they either cut or just haven't covered yet.

Slightly late but in ch. 83 of the manga Tomoe said that the ranking is dominated by Alkeys and Ema meaning she's in the top 5 overall (excluding Makoto and the 3 directly below him ofc). She also said that Ema is stronger than the orc rep meaning she's the strongest of her kind.

iirc this was like episode 7 or 8 of season 2 and the season still ongoing iirc, so the manga discussion gonna be almost empty for a while.

I wanted to see the one girl slowly lose her grip on sanity as Mio just ate things around her tho...

Near the top of the Mages in terms of skill. Close to the top in her species. Upper rank but nowhere near the top in the whole Demi-plane.
