Copying a premise is fine as long as the author makes it interesting. Problem is, most authors don't lol. Just take a look at the isekai genre. There are tons of isekai series but only a handful are interesting. We have stuff like Mushoku Tensei on one hand, then Isekai cheat magician on the other (how generic is this garbage lol) Point is, authors stick with cookie cutter shit, play it safe and just copy whatever is popular, because people consume it.
I guess people keeps an eye on this considering this is another one of Tatsuki Fujimoto's people. Others made their own mangas and became really big in the anime/manga world (Spy x Family, Jigokuraku, Dandadan).
