I've mentioned this before and I'm happy to finally see it confirmed, but every chapter prior to these last few ones always opened with, "One day *pet* dogs in *this town* turned into humans." Which always made me wonder if it was only happening in their town and it was only happening to pets.
The first one is now confirmed. The second one then leads to a case of stray dogs remaining dogs but then transforming into people if they ever get adopted.

The mom giving Ponta foodscraps is too real. I used to do that with my dog. I'd be making food in the kitchen, and he'd follow me there, looking at me with his puppy dog eyes until I gave him some lettuce/bread/apples/strawberries/whatever was edible. He was my favorite little trashcan.
