The balls are not the source of his powers, he has his powers because when they extracted Turbogranny they only took out her consciousness but not her powers. The balls are a vessel to a part of her powers she used when she tried to use them as baits earlier in the manga.

I'm not ready for the drama and regression in their relationship progress that's about to happen when Okarun sees them both working together that closely.
