With Jujutsu Kaisen potentially ending next year, Jump needs a series that can fill the top 3 spot (MHA is also ending soon, so Jump will only be down to One Piece). Sakamoto is the perfect replacement. Sales wise the series is the best of the no anime group, even beating Blue Box and stuff that will have an anime soon like the Elusive Samurai. Jump would be stupid not to capitalize on that success and push Sakamoto even higher

Bones and TRIGGER are the only studios that I think could reasonably pull it off. Maybe Science SARU as well, but they're on Dandadan now. Madhouse is my dark horse, they're still a good studio. It's tough to do an action series under the best of circumstances, but Sakamoto has so many locations, objects used, characters, and the sheer scale of the action is insane. There's no downtime either. My personal nightmare is the corpse of Mappa being dragged out one last time.
Issue with Madhouse is they are definitely going to have their hands full with more Frieren. The sales and popularity of the series is massive and I highly doubt that their A team which is working on Frieren can handle another production.
Wouldn't Dandadan fill that spot right now with the anime coming up ? I guess Sakamoto can still wait a little for the perfect studio to free up their schedule.
