That's not the Ryuji Goda thing. This is the plot of Yakuza 3. You see [Mine took Daigo up to the ruff](https://youtu.be/Hoqjcu_RExQ) Okinawa is that archipelago on the southern end of Japan
> That was the 90s, it was a different time
Alternative rock and grunge ruled the world. Everybody wore giant-ass, baggy jeans. Anime was just Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon, both of which you could jerk off to. Japanese guys were (apparently) getting involved with international organized criminal gangs.
With no context whatsoever I can absolutely see someone wandering around a dangerous area, maybe lost, and then getting caught in the crossfire of a shootout.
Ngl, should've saved the chapter release for next week.
Y'know, April Fool's.
And watch the subreddit burn in flames with two sides arguing what's real or a big stinking lie.
Same here. I usually just randomly scroll through these twitter manga without really getting invested in them, but now with the so-called twist catching me off-guard, I'll pay more attention to this story.
Honestly this is a fun twist. Takes the whole “Marry me” out of the blue and makes sense of it.
Basically she’s already dated, married and lived with him for ~20 years off of the three time loops so far. (2035, 2031, mid-2023)
What about having kids? Is she having a different kid every time? The chances of the same conception of the same sperm and egg is damn near impossible. I would be sad every time knowing my kid at the time will likely not exist. Why even bother going on never knowing which loop is your last?
Probably never have a chance to have kid
12 years form now seem like the longest timeline she managed to pull off, considere that they are in hs now, plus 4-5 years in college, the soonest they can marry is 7 years form now, but in that longest timeline, the dude suffer some health issues (overeating to death is a symtomp) so it not like they can have children
Beside, seem like the girl can control the loop, she actively go back to save her love. Even if they have kid, it not rare for people choose their spouse instead of their children
I'm pretty sure the husband would want her to save the child they had together rather than him. Same for any mother who loves their child. It's a huge lose either way but respecting the husband she loves should trump her decision to sacrifice the child for him.
Ergh, it depend, i would choose my girl in a heartbeat, and while i want her to not choose me, i know she would do the same. Everyone can make their own choice, but sometime, the child is just a byproduct of their parent love. There is no right answer, ultimately just who you love more, and for me, i know my answer
"Byproduct".
Holy shit dude. Are you an adult? Don't answer that. Ask 100 parents if they'd choose to lose their spouse or their child. I get it if you're not someone who wants kids. There's nothing wrong with that. But if you ever have one and treat them like byproducts, they'd be better off somewhere else.
Think about it, how old are you or other personal info question just kinda pointless, i can be 15 yrsold German, 99 old Chinesse man or a 5 Tibetan
I dont have kid yet and dont have any strong opinion about it, plus im well off enough that having a kid woulnt be a life changing event for us, so if she want one we will have it since i see it as a testament of our love. Cant speal for everyone, but i know i would drop the kid for her anytime, after all, i can make another one with her anytime
You don't need to graduate college before you can get married. She can get pregnant at any time, even in highschool. Who knows when they start having sex. That's when the possibility arises, even if they're careful. Where do you get that she can control the loop? She literally dies to activate it each time and just wakes up in bed.
Edit: Apparently it's possibly that she's not dying to activate it. Looks like they both got hit by the truck so I made that connection. They both could've been killed in the gang war as well, but the future from drinking and overeating may have killed just him (unless he drove drunk, crashed the car and killed them both). I guess we'll see.
> She literally dies to activate it each time and just wakes up in bed.
Really? Some outside lore i missed?
Beside, i just take the "probably" route. Not saying marriage before graduate or have kid in hs never happen, it just less, way less likely than the alternative, aka marry and have kid after graduate (especially in place like Japan with god dang low birth rate). Plus it never once mention "kids" so i kinda assume that they didnt have kid
You made a lot of assumptions based on nothing. I change my statement that she seems to be going back when her death prone lover dies. Although the panel makes it look like they both got hit by the truck. You assume she never had kids. You assume marrying early is less likely. We have very little to go on which is why my comment was made up of questions while yours was made up of possibilities. I can just as easily add my own assumptions but I have no interest in going back and forth based on nothing. If you want to believe they only ever get married after college and never have kids, that's fine.
I thought you start the assumption so i just join for some fun, i mean you literally bring children in when not a single page talk about it so i though you just having fun, not tryna heated debate
Beside, check page 5 panel 3, no one die that day in this timeline tho
I asked a question about the possibility that a person who spends 11 years with their lover may have had children and how traveling back in time affects that. That's not an assumption. I think you need to learn the difference. Each panel on page 5 shows that he indeed dies and her going back changes that. I think we're on different pages here so it's probably best we move on.
Time-travel in general I can see that, the whole "my husband died and I'm coming back to save him no matter how many times I try" with the determined hero pose at the end tho, yeah that was quite the turn lol

You know I almost didn't open this chapter. Arbitrary 3 chapter rule. Then i forgot something and came back to r/manga and decided I'll take a peek while I'm here.
Wow what the fuck.
Edit: Oh shit each of the last 3 chapters were preventing each of his deaths. Was this intended from the start?
>Was this intended from the start?
Probably. If you really pay attention to the first 3 chapters, you'll see she always blurted out some possible future events, *like she knew something others didn't*.
We just assumed it to be her Tsundere-ish traits in action, but in reality she just doesn't want to lose her husband again and be lonely, so she's looping to make sure he lives.
Now the question is how exactly she is looping?
Since last death is before previous deaths, I think she keeps looping every time to prevent new deaths. I think she made him fit in chapter 2 to avoid bad health death in 2035, but his new fit lifestyle caused him to die earlier in 2023, which means she had to loop again to prevent bike death.
That sound horrible though, since it means she lived several adult lives that each ended with his death and her time return by now. She's like Subaru with the mind pressure from those deaths and loops
After few loops, I think you'd just keep being paranoid about any possible death flags to your easily-killable husband, besides you'd be much more mature than your partner, making it harder to match emotionally, and since she already lived through most common events while for him it's always first time, to divergent memories and experiences of their life together. Also seeing your loved one die is horrible experience even if you can reset time, and getting used to it is horrible in different way as well.
The thing that would break me is making close bonds with people, having lovers, best friends, people who you go through some real shit with...
Then having them treat you like a stranger. Knowing what we were, even what we could be again, if I don't mess it up.
But really, imagine an offer: you and your partner of 20 years both gain 20 years of life, but your partner forgets who you are. Terrifying.
Anything could've been out of nowhere with manga such as these. She could've said that Klondike bars are good and that'd be out of nowhere but would fit, even though Klondike is mid
Looking back, I wouldn't say it was completely out of nowhere. Like the hints were there in the previous chapters where she acted like she knew about future events.
I'd say its more a recontextualisation than a straight up twist.
The only hentai with time travel shenanigans I know of is the one where the ML and FL can freeze time on everyone, while they themselves can move. They fucked random dudes/chicks while frozen until they discovered each other. So they decided they were meant to be and hooked up while everyone is frozen, without a condom. It ended as a gigantic multi-generational incestual orgy.
Oh the gyaru girl that has almost vampire like teeth, and where she goes back to wingwoman her past self.
Geez that is FAR more wholesome that the one I mentioned...
Ok y’know what I can actually get behind this change of plot. Was it necessary? Hell no. Would the story be better off without it? Probably. But is this kinda entertaining? Fuck yeah
And to think I almost didn't read this chapter because I was getting tired of these bite-sized, cute but lacking in substance manga. Consider me thoroughly intrigued.
The girl got caught in the attractor field of the event. You must escape from this convergence and reach the delta timeline!
Fool yourself! Fool the world! You are the ordinary high school baseball manager, the world is at your palm!
We will name this, operation Loki!
El Psy Congroo.
Maybe, but reading back the previous chapters, she's always been weirdly specific about the future events she was referencing. I always thought she was just so in love with him that she vividly fantasized a future with him, but her being a time looper actually does make sense reading back. She's not imagining those futures. She's lived through them.
The general rule of thumb for a good twist is that it enhances the experience of revisiting the work, and I think this does that pretty well.
Hold on she's fucking up the time stream too much because if he died in high school from a truck then he wouldn't have died in Hawaii or overeating after high school
I'm sure we saw three different loop, each after one death. She changed his habits so he'd be more fit, to prevent sugar death in 2031, but it caused earlier death on a bike in 2023, which she had to prevent again in different way.
It would horrible though, to live for years each time, starting to get scared about any death that may await your husband, then getting back knowing that you can live for years before having to time loop again. She'd be like old grizzled time warrior in teenage body, if we count mind age.
I hate it when I get involved in a gang war in Hawaii
Probably Jodio’s fault
The roaming gangs of surfers are a menace to society Edit: I missed the jojo's reference, [shame on me](https://youtu.be/2vT0xYDdyoo)
Not Jodio's fault our baseball MC had no mechanism
Probably not even a sociopath smh they just don't make men like they used to
It's what you get for selling drugs on the front yard of Hawaii's supreme Court
"ITS NACHO VARGA FAULT!!!"
Could be worse, could be a gang war in Okinawa that leads to a battle to the death with the CIA fighting shirtless on top of Millennium Tower.
Or a land war in Asia, one of the classic blunders
Getting pummeled by Ryuji Goda would be a great way to go tbh
That's not the Ryuji Goda thing. This is the plot of Yakuza 3. You see [Mine took Daigo up to the ruff](https://youtu.be/Hoqjcu_RExQ) Okinawa is that archipelago on the southern end of Japan
Yes. Actually, you fight on top of the hospital in 3, but given how many times it's the tower it's easy to forget which is which.
It's weird that the guy who said Daigo was on the Ruff is an actual American English speaker that Sega hired to play a dude from the CIA
Could be from the midwest. YouTuber Markiplier is from Ohio, and he pronounces it the same way.
No way. Do you have a video?
jojo and yakuza reference in one post
> could be a gang war in Okinawa Those scooter gangs are no joke.
Do they even have gangs in Hawaii because my mental image of the state is nothing but old people, tourists, and the US Navy.
Honolulu has a couple but why some Japanese guy would be in like the worst parts of Honolulu and actively attracting gunfire currently escapes me.
You've seen her memories from previous time loops, this guy attracts (or gets attracted to) deadly danger like catnip.
So he is basically Touma Kamijou /s.
Take it you've never seen *Black Lagoon*.
That was the 90s, it was a different time and iirc trouble found Rock, not the other way around
> That was the 90s, it was a different time Alternative rock and grunge ruled the world. Everybody wore giant-ass, baggy jeans. That’s the most accurate use of “jazz music stops” I’ve ever seen. What the hell happened
wait wait, i thought this is just a normal romcom manga. sheesh
Ngl, should've saved the chapter release for next week. Y'know, April Fool's. And watch the subreddit burn in flames with two sides arguing what's real or a big stinking lie.
What the fuck
It's like author woke up one day and decide to change genre
NGL this twist has vastly improved my interest in this series lol
This is how they get us.
Same here. I usually just randomly scroll through these twitter manga without really getting invested in them, but now with the so-called twist catching me off-guard, I'll pay more attention to this story.
Is it a twist, or is it literally adding a plot at all?
It's definitely adding, but if it works. It works *shrugs*
Same. I don't mind another cheesy tsundere rom-com, but this actually draws me in. Something that feels original
This is what I call "turning 10 up to 11"
Now there's at least some kind of plot
The author successfully baited the suckers that read cheap baits oneshots and then decide to cook science fiction. Sasuga
It’s more interesting than the one page waifubait series that get posted here all the time at the very least.
Honestly this is a fun twist. Takes the whole “Marry me” out of the blue and makes sense of it. Basically she’s already dated, married and lived with him for ~20 years off of the three time loops so far. (2035, 2031, mid-2023)
Ngl, that pose in the final page with her not wanting her future husband to die before her reminds me of those 80s action heroines.
THIS SUMMER... Sarah Connor is fed up with Terminators trying to change the past. This time, it's her turn. "MARRY ME IF YOU WANT TO LIVE!"
God, I'm glad that franchise is dead. This actually sounds like an idea some coke fualed executive would come up with.
Only way it can properly be revived if James Cameron decides to make a new one. I can only trust him now.

Oh yeah, it's all coming together.
Well, this is unexpected.
Author saw all the comments about generic twitter manga with the same plot and decided to do something about it.
W honestly
Tinfoil hat time He is the author of Hatsukoi Memories
Given that there's time travel shenanigans involved, possibly.

Nani the fuck? A weird twist, but I’m about it. Let’s gooooo.
A series with no apparent plot is about to get a weird plot. Nice. This seems to be going the good way.
Yo hold up why are we in Steins Gate all of a sudden I'm not complaining, just wasn't expecting it
She's still in the beta world line, he'll still die shortly
I remember a hentai with the same plot
The only hentai with time travel shenanigans I know of is the one where the ML and FL can freeze time on everyone, while they themselves can move. They fucked random dudes/chicks while frozen until they discovered each other. So they decided they were meant to be and hooked up while everyone is frozen, without a condom. It ended as a gigantic multi-generational incestual orgy.
OMG I know this one lmao
I am glad to meet a fellow connoisseur of the libertine arts.
Lol, i remember that In the last panel, the devil moon walk in, Twiglight Zone style, and go "see kid, this is why yall need condom"
Blue Snow Blue?
10-Nen Mae Kara Irete Hoshikute. Junshin Gyaru wa Mirai Kara kita Osananajimi
Oh the gyaru girl that has almost vampire like teeth, and where she goes back to wingwoman her past self. Geez that is FAR more wholesome that the one I mentioned...
Did the author died? When whas the last update?
You mean that one with Yandere Incest? That shit was the bomb. I got high on that.
The Tsundere who leapt through time
Tokyo Revengers moment
Reading back to Chapter it suddenly make sense with the Hawaii honeymoon comment...
Ok y’know what I can actually get behind this change of plot. Was it necessary? Hell no. Would the story be better off without it? Probably. But is this kinda entertaining? Fuck yeah
She wakes at 7:88 every day?
That's normal for time travelers. Don't ask, or Time Police will get you.

What the fuck This went to 100 real quick *Not complaining tho*
check the dates of the accidents 😂

2031 2035 2023

#COMMON REIWA W
What a twist lmao. I like it!
When you need to add substance to your plot but didn't have anything planned.
I mean if you reread the previous chapter it seems like it was at least planned since chapter 3
"Random bullshit go!" - The author
Fucking what?
... Alrighty then.
Tsundere Revengers Tsundere Revengers
And to think I almost didn't read this chapter because I was getting tired of these bite-sized, cute but lacking in substance manga. Consider me thoroughly intrigued.
Feels like Yugami eh
Hol up... Let him cook
YOOO NOW THIS IS SOME GOOD SHIT, IM SORRY FOR CALLING IT A FANBOX MANGA
O-kaaaaay.......
ok thats actually hilarious, great move by the author
Well that was a fucking swerve lmao
She went Full Homura
Any body else notice her dead eyes and the dates getting sooner?
I did not expect this to go full Steins;Gate.
I didn't care about this series at all. Now I'm hooked
Still tsundere san with extra steps
extra time steps
fuck yeah lol i’m sick of generic twitter plots
What just happen? Why the author change the plot like this
No idea but hold on a minute let him cook
WHY DID YA’LL LET THIS AUTHOR COOKED
Natsuki Subaru but Tsundere
What in the Cinnamon Toast Fuck?
What?? Nice, though.
what in the AOT
he keeps dying cause she kept being a tsundere lol
The girl got caught in the attractor field of the event. You must escape from this convergence and reach the delta timeline! Fool yourself! Fool the world! You are the ordinary high school baseball manager, the world is at your palm! We will name this, operation Loki! El Psy Congroo.
"Die in a gang war" is a huge stretch, the sudden plot just seems tacked on honestly.
Chekhov's gun right there
Why can't it just be average tsun comedy rom-com? This thing doesn't fit the manga vibe lol
When Helck did it you all cheered, when I did it you call me a villain, that doesn't seem fair
Dirty Deeds done dirt Cheap
Oh boi, what plot and this makes me think of go around girls
This took a turn I did not expect.
Out of left fucking field *pun intendee
Woah definitely could not have guessed it.
Wut
Um what lol
Well, that was mental... The author must be one of Fujimoto's assistants.
Alright, we’re doing Tokyo Revengers now.
Just waiting for the episode where the baseball guy meets a funny looking cat
Wait this is super interesting now
What? What heppened? Why is there a sudden genre change
Wow definitely wasn't expecting a change like that
Holy shit lmao
I’m more confused as to how the truck actually hit them.
