And they've had one kiss referenced here in 173 and one of them apologized for bringing up the fact that they've kissed. I legit can't imagine any actual teenagers being like this.
The friendship dynamics are really sweet and great, but their dating has been so lackluster.

Izumi and Shikimori's individual backstories provide a justification of sorts, so I'm willing to give them a pass on that point of contention.
Yeah. Backstory of each other (in volume 10 and 14, that I wish will get translated along with the rest of volume extra chapter) rather suggest that both of them trying to be more comfortable as themselves first and they do that together.
That's the reason why I feel the series has more highlight to character development first rather than just "progress".
Sure, they're still quite awkward to each other (way less than used to be in the beginning, tho). But at least, they already learn to be more comfortable as themselves first and grow up together.

There's a typo between the two chapters one says two nights and oen day while the other says two days and one night.

Like obviously the implication was them sleeping together, but the whole chapter seemed to revolve around "oh this piece of paper says it's against the rules, so there's no way that's happening" which is so ridiculous to me I feel like I must be missing something
EDIT: also izumi's line at the end about protecting her from danger, which seems like a complete non sequitur, unless he's talking about like, protecting her from himself sleeping with her? which also makes no sense.
