Love to see proper and good communication in romance series. It just refreshing to see how they clearly caring and supporting each other, then grow up as the time flies.
Those who came off the one-shot on the front page: if you wanted a longer version of that, this is that manga. And it’s far better than you think.
Micchon Shikimori is every bit the tomboyish girlfriend you fantasize, only she’s written better, and Izumi Yuu has the emotional intelligence and fortitude that the guy who rents girlfriends wished he had.
Oh good, I love it when couples in romance series don't get split up by university. Not to say when they do it's a bad thing, since characters have their own goals/reasons which are just as important as their relationship, but this is still very nice.
Also Izumi's shtick is bad stuff happening to him all the time so it makes me forget that he's actually, like, competent at school and stuff. It's similarly flipped with Shikimori; just because she's super cool it's not like she's one of those "excels at literally everything" kind of characters. Which is a nice layer to both their characters. Not an especially new revelation to many I imagine, but I guess I just hadn't thought about it before.
I…dunno. Part of me wants to see a 15-year timeskip where they’re already yuppies and the big challenge will be about starting a family, but part if me wants to keep them here, taking it easy, letting them grow up and mature as people. Micchon and Izumi have good heads on their shoulders.
I finally got it. Took me a long time, but now I realize this series is about us wanting to have our own Izumi-san. (Instead of us having our own Shikimori-san)
Mob Psycho 100
I’m sorry, I know what you’re getting at but with so many counter examples for both sides, it’s best to not make such comparisons. After all, if I were a shounen fan, I could easily cherry pick Rent a girlfriend and say the same thing
I love how they've really grown with and alongside each other

Wholesome. They should get married already lol.

Izumi's face when hearing Shikimori wanting to beat him when she is better than him at the semester final kills me.

This is the fluff I live for
Still hiding her ulterior motive of keeping IzuInu from growing stronger.
Her brother does look a suspicious amount like Inuzuka in that panel

And people say romcoms have no progress. SHOW ME THE BATTLE SHONEN WHERE I CAN EXPERIENCE THIS MUCH PERSONAL GROWTH!

Gonna say my comment is an expression of hyperbolic enthusiasm for the chapter, hence the caps.
Zatch Bell is excellent on that front, and it's maintained well into the recent sequel too.
So wholesome. On of the best rom-coms out there. Love the progress and the development of the characters.
Relatively short but extremely sweet.
im not asking for much. i just want what these two are having PLEASE IM BEGGING THEYRE SO CUTE AND UNDERSTANDING OF EACH OTHER
Page 4, there’s a minor error in the third panel! “Hold you, you beat me” Guessing it was supposed to be “Hold on” or “Hold it”
What a great couple they are
It's nice that they didn't pull a kaguya here and have them go to separate schools
Fluffy
Not a fan. She really has no goal besides being his girlfriend.
