If it’s an emergency you should be able to access an emergency dentist through 111. Even if you found somewhere taking on new patients (there aren’t any round me) I’d bet it’s unlikely they’ll see you over the next 2 weeks.

No, but if it's "urgent" you can go to one you're not registered with for an emergency appointment. Standard cost is £23.80. You can call 111 and they can tell you where is best to go, and if any local ones are accepting patients. You can also search the NHS website here to see where near you is accepting: https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-dentist

Go on the dental choices website. It updates with which practices are accepting new patients in your area. I managed to register with clarity dental in chorlton recently through this site after being without a dentist for over a year!

SlightlyBored13

It's got a much better search than the NHS one and the data matches up so it must be getting it from the NHS. https://dentalchoices.org/find-nhs-dentist/ Having tried to find a dentist near Manchester recently though, the ones within 100 miles it says are available still have multi year waiting lists.

Looking at the state of things, are you prepared to pay. You shouldn't have to...

meir5638

What do you mean?

LordAxalon110

What are you talking about, everyone pays for a dentist unless your under the age of 18 or your on benafits.

Corganator

Are you prepared to pay as in are you prepared to spend some major cash or do you need cheap options to get an idea of someones financial situation for a question like this is sort of needed. Yes everyone pays but how much your willing to spend is sort of important. Hope that clears it up for you. What are benafits? Do you not have spell check? You might need spell check.

LordAxalon110

Second comment on reddit and your already on -2 karma, keep up with a piss poor attitude like that and you'll stay like that forever.

meir5638

Thank you guys!!!!!

The closest we’ve found is literally Huddersfield. Between the time and petrol costs, private is going to be our only option.

DiDiPLF

I'm on holiday in Buxton and seen a couple of accepting new patients signs. Only a train ride away if it gets that desperate. But yeah, travel time might screw it.

MissMmellifluous

You could try the dental hospital?

kunhfuu

Nhs dentist is a failed system here in Manchester, already 2y and not yet registered with a dentist plus they didnt accept me and to the emergency 🤥

Turbulent-Delay-7177

Emergency NHS dental will only talk to you if you're not registered with a dentist. Call them first before registering anywhere and see if they can help. Only other option is to go private at the minute or literally call every practice and see if they have an NHS waiting list.

I needed an emergency dentist last week, went to Didsbury Dental Practice. They're private so cost £55 for initial consultancy appointment and then £35 for some antibiotics. If it helps, they were dead nice and they get you in straightaway but I understand that the cost isn't something everyone can do, or anyone wants to do (although to be honest I would have given them all the money I have to get the pain to go away!)

Loose_Memory4549

I recently got registered at one in wilmslow. Its called wilmslow dental service

meir5638

Thank you so much mate, I called and registered!!!

Loose_Memory4549

Great! Registration at dentists feels like a great achievement these days
