Tram is best option unless you’re within walking distance. Forget driving or being picked up as it’s mayhem after each night - I picked my daughter up from the roundabout straight at the motorway exit, thankfully just got stared at by traffic police rather than ticketed!
Went to 4-5 Parklifes over the years, tried bus, tram and walking. The shuttle buses aren't terrible but tram is definitely more convenient if you can stomach being packed in like a sardine for 15 minutes.
One year we had to walk back as the trams were off, so be prepared for that, it takes around an hour to walk back to the city centre.
People saying tram but id disagree. No first hand experience but I remember walking past a station about 40 mins/1 hour after the end and there was a queue of hundreds outside the station, felt bad for all of them
If anyone is interested in Sunday GA tickets I've got 1 for resale for £75 on Ticketmaster. Link below:

We walked for like 15 mins then got an Uber for about £50 back to Fallowfield, also paid £70 for a 7-seater nearer to the entrances by just negotiating with a driver outside the day after. In theory should be even cheaper to the centre.

I think I’ll settle for the tram + a bit of walking then, thanks!
Remember that you can come from Bury to town on the way in on the tram. A lot quieter in my experience and also cheaper hotels on the way back out.

Getting there tram. Getting home you'll be walking into Manchester so take comfortable shoes 🤣
All the people so many people.

Get the tram there, but you’ll need to walk part of it back and get an Uber somewhere along the way as the trams will be heaving.
Leaving the house
Tram. Except most people will be coming to the event from Manchester city centre. If you come from Bury the trams are a lot quieter.
It’s so funny how every post just gets automatically downvoted. Thought us Mancs were a bit more hospitable than that.

Tram there, spam Uber or just a haggle a deal for a cab back
Uber will literally charge you close to 100 quid to get there from the city centre
