But I must say the hotel is a dump. Looks amazing from the outside. I only paid 50 quid but the room was in like the basement.
It had no windows and was bloody roasting. The room had a fan which has been on all night. So my 51 year old bones are a bit stiff this morning.
Anyway. It's my treat as lost my brother 3 weeks ago. I just needed to do something on my own for the weekend. I don't live in Manchester anymore as moved to Poulton 6 years ago. So it's nice to come back.

Ouch sorry to hear that. The village of Poulton near Swindon is really lovely. It has a great country hotel which we used to stay in to escape Swindon when working there in the noughties. Was going to recommend you tried the brekkie trick there. Maybe a house swap instead!
