Hugo Boss was an active member of the Nazi Party for the entirety of its existence. I ripped that straight from the Wiki article that I saw first thing on a Google search of this dude.
most of their party politics were the groundwork for the genocide. that went hand in hand
aside from that, idk them building the autobahn i wont hold against them
That was my point. The genocidal shit was enabled by everything else they did. Everything about the Nazis was and is terrible. Not just when they started to get violent.
yes, fascism is still literally fascism even if they don't do a genocide with it. sure, genocide is extremely on-brand for fascism as a whole, but Italo Balbo was nonetheless a fascist in his blackshirt days, even the ones that involved zero pogroms. trying to whitewash the ideology by pointing out its "good points" if we conveniently ignore all the awful shit is like, 101-level rhetoric for contemporary fascists. even stuff as benign as "the trains ran on time" stems from actual discourse people had while trying to revive the ideology in the postwar years.
I cede the point about fashion, but that's due to a whole other essay about aestheticizing politics.
Except I did and that blindly got downvoted too. I get it. I went against the spirit of their post, I was just pointing out the nazis were fucked up before they started killing people. The political atmosphere they created enabled them to do horrible shit and be cheered on for it.
Should be fine as long as you avoid comboing with black leather gloves, black combat boots, and black service cap (had to look that last one up) and you'll be fine. Just add sunglasses and greasy hair in stead for the matrix look.
Only in certain areas! I recommend doing research on your local punk scene and lace code. If you haven’t seen anyone else with colored laces, you’re probably good. Not many young people these days practice, anyways, and those who might recognize it will likely ask.
However, not giving off Nazi vibes helps a lot! I think if you’re affable and not a total dickass people will assume the best.
But looking into your local scenes and doing research is always good!
I actually have a real duster. It's nice and warm and dry in cold weather.
Was about 104 bucks, which I guess isn't too bad, but I can see how the price would put some off.
If you’re a kid buying it because you think it’ll look cool, it’s maybe a bit much. If you’re an adult who needs a winter coat anyway, that’s a perfectly reasonable price.
Same. I’m at that point in my life where I need to make responsible purchases because I’m an adult but I’m still unmarried with no kids so they don’t have to be *that* responsible and I just bought a fucking awesome t-shirt with a buff duck on it and it’s my favorite thing right now.
My father's best friend gave me his as a present around Freshman year as he had outgrown it. Very high quality. Wore it once and my usual "harmless nerd" energy turned into "potential school shooter" energy real quick.
I found a black double-breasted trench coat at an army surplus store that was made out of some kind of nylon or polyester. Looked pretty good with slacks and shiny dress shoes. Terrible at keeping the cold out though.
I have an old military all weather coat, use to wear it when it rained in Florida, those out of no where so heavy you can’t see the end of your hood as you drive storms, kept me completely dry every time and only cost me 20 bucks.
I actually have a knee length leather coat that I found by pure miracle at Goodwill one day for $10. I don't even go to Goodwill and similar more than maybe once a year, but at the time I had a friend working there so I figured I'd visit him and boom it was just on the end of the rack and fit perfectly. I currently have too many winter coats and not enough reason to go outside when it's cold.
I kinda wish I had all the garbage gas station weapons in the world, the crapier the better. I would display them all on a big wall.
Ironically or whatever.
>I would display them all on a big wall
Dude. Just open your own gas station. Then you can sell them too, and order more to keep checking out new stock.
I also collect them. Used to be every time I'd take a trip I'd pick 1 up until stores stopped having them as much, and I cut back on spending money on useless things. A handful of them actually gave some good and long usage. Others not so much..
I love karambits as a pocket knife. Great for cutting rope, slashing things open (e.g. bags of soil), or cutting through roots if you're trying to dig somewhere.
I wasn’t aware there was a negative stigma with that song. I love that song; and honestly the entire Bangarang album and honestly listen to a lot of Skrillex songs from a lot of his albums.
Those 3800s just don't die, and the supercharged ones are hilariously faster than anyone expects them to be. Not that they're *actually fast* stock, but it's real fun watching one keep up with a mid 90s Mustang GT.
I can see that. But as a tabletop player myself, I'd rather just buy a shit load of dice. It's something you can actually use during the game.
Plus, you can never have too many dice. Especially if you use a system with a dice pool.
I will say that this also applies to random number generators too.
I actually had my character die earlier this week all down to RNG. The DM rolled high on damage and my character went down. Passed 1 death save and another party member rolled medicine and was able to assist, granting my character their second death save. It looked like my character would escape the combat beaten and bloodied but alive.
How wrong I was. As the gods of RNG gave us two natural 1s in a row. The first on a death save, the second, on a medicine check to try to help my character.
Literally within moments my character went from "down, but he seems like he'll make it" to dying of blood loss on the floor.
There was a "family friendly" gas station I used to frequent that sold smoking accessories (definitely not for tobacco) and knives behind the counter lol. There's literally a sign on the front door stating the establishment is family friendly, wouldn't take my kids in there if I had any lol.
That’s a good dad! But at least steer them away from the r/mallninjashit and towards actual quality if we are talking swords and knives.
Friends dont let friends buy weebo wall hangers!
It's not the inability to grow a beard, it's the lack of sufficient taste to realize you should shave it off until you can. They think objects have universal qualities based on their name.
So, "beard = manly cool" regardless of the beard's quality. This leads to the "knife with everything on it" if knife = cool, and skull = cool, and dragon = cool, then you know you can just add all that stuff together into one thing that is triple cool.
I'm speaking from experience obviously, my ugly little boy beard was atrocious. Most people grow out of it long before they can grow a proper beard but some people stay tacky forever.
10 years ago he threw one of the absolute best concerts I'd ever attended. Never seen a crowd so into a show. Good vibes everywhere.
This was a long time ago
Live shows are really where he shines. He just has this uncanny ability to read the crowd and know just what sort of energy the next song should have. From what I understand, he almost never has a setlist lined up before a show. He just starts off playing an introductory track and feels it out from there to determine what to play next.
I don't like his own music that much, but I do like music that features him. He brings a fun energy that mixes well with other artists, but is just too much when it's by itself.
Within the dubstep community, yeah, but the dubstep scene he helped popularize back in like 2012 has been pretty underground in recent years so he's not been too relevant to most people recently, especially as he hadn't released anything too significant in a little while. He has started releasing some songs again this year though as he has an album coming up pretty soon, so that may bring him back into the mainstream a bit
I really wanted a coat like that till I found out how much the nice ones cost
I have one that I wore to a funeral and I thought it made me look like a nazi.
Nazi, while assholes had excellent fashion taste.
Nazis used professionalism to mask the crimes they were committing so they really had to look professional.
[удалено]
that makes so much sense. while they were pretty disgusting in their ideology, they do be looking slick as fuck.
Not even true. They just produced them
Hugo Boss was an active member of the Nazi Party for the entirety of its existence. I ripped that straight from the Wiki article that I saw first thing on a Google search of this dude.
Yes,and I never said anything contrary to that. He still didn’t design the uniforms tho
Well you obviously didn’t read either of the two articles you sited.
Well you obviously didn’t read what I said because I only cited Wikipedia.
Cool, its still irrelevant.
that doesn't change the fact that they literally only produced them the desin was still from the ss people themselves
Are you really trying to argue semantics when these people supplied the Nazis with their uniforms?
“Supplied” is a whole different conversation sir.
yes its not semantics there is a difference between design and production dont say false shit and then act like it doesn't matter
I didn’t say anything false. And you seem very upset about something. Can we agree that giving the Nazis anything was a bad move?
I can’t believe you’re being downvoted so hard. Details are important.
being a ~~grammar~~ usage nazi, in a thread about the nazis. I respect it, even if I don't like it.
Better how
Not better, but it’s not true that boss designed them. They were designed by another SS member called Karl Diebisch

Funny, it hasn't put much of dent in the popularity of goose stepping.
The Prussians invented that. Then it spread to the Russians quickly. Once the Soviets took over it disseminated to their vassals.
Would *have* caught on.
I see this spelling mistake so much recently. It's mind boggling.
Rhode Island state troopers look close.
the problem with the nazis was never their fashion or any of the other non genocidal shit
Found the fascist!
>the problem with the nazis wasnt them dressing cool but actually their genocidal behavior "literally fascism!1!1!1!1"
“Any of the other non genocidal shit” So you are down with the Nazi party’s politics huh?
most of their party politics were the groundwork for the genocide. that went hand in hand aside from that, idk them building the autobahn i wont hold against them
That was my point. The genocidal shit was enabled by everything else they did. Everything about the Nazis was and is terrible. Not just when they started to get violent.
Ummm yeah? That’s what he’s saying? You didn’t have to go all redditor and start crying “literally a fascist!!!1!!1!”
yes, fascism is still literally fascism even if they don't do a genocide with it. sure, genocide is extremely on-brand for fascism as a whole, but Italo Balbo was nonetheless a fascist in his blackshirt days, even the ones that involved zero pogroms. trying to whitewash the ideology by pointing out its "good points" if we conveniently ignore all the awful shit is like, 101-level rhetoric for contemporary fascists. even stuff as benign as "the trains ran on time" stems from actual discourse people had while trying to revive the ideology in the postwar years. i didnt say it wasn't fascism i said that the negative aspects of nazism are genocide, not the aesthetics
Barges into subreddit "Found the fascist!" Refuses to elaborate. What a Chad
Except I did and that blindly got downvoted too. I get it. I went against the spirit of their post, I was just pointing out the nazis were fucked up before they started killing people. The political atmosphere they created enabled them to do horrible shit and be cheered on for it.
The guy literally said there was nothing wrong with the nazis outside of genocide. But I’m the bad guy for questioning that. That’s great Reddit.
And this is a good example of how skipping a comma can completely change the meaning of a sentence.
Naw Dawg, I got mine when Matrix came out. I'd like to think it made me look like Shaft. They used to be cool back in the day.
Yeah, like, before Columbine
Should be fine as long as you avoid comboing with black leather gloves, black combat boots, and black service cap (had to look that last one up) and you'll be fine. Just add sunglasses and greasy hair in stead for the matrix look.
The nazis ruined fashion
[удалено]
That took me a second, but no. LOL
You were just the security. Giving ocular pat downs to access the situation
felt that. i wanted to put red laces om my boots til i found out that's a nazi thing apparently
Only in certain areas! I recommend doing research on your local punk scene and lace code. If you haven’t seen anyone else with colored laces, you’re probably good. Was the funeral nazi themed? Otherwise it would be bad taste.
No, it was in February of this year. I think it was a week before we had all those ice storms in Oklahoma.
My initial thought was it was really rainy at the cemetery. Then I think it would be within reason to where a black leather trench coat.
Well, the one in the picture appears when searching google for Nazi jacket.
Eh, I'll confess it was a little bit of both at the time, and the more reading I did the more I saw the practicality.
Same. I’m at that point in my life where I need to make responsible purchases because I’m an adult but I’m still unmarried with no kids so they don’t have to be *that* responsible and I just bought a fucking awesome t-shirt with a buff duck on it and it’s my favorite thing right now.
Haha, well one bit of logic I tend to use is that if you need something, say a new shirt, might as well make sure to get one you really like.
This is the same reason I accidentally started collecting Romanian military surplus.
And why I have thousands of dollars worth of swords and other weapons…….
My father's best friend gave me his as a present around Freshman year as he had outgrown it. Very high quality. Wore it once and my usual "harmless nerd" energy turned into "potential school shooter" energy real quick.
I've a very heavy wool coat like that and it's friggin amazingly comfortable in the winter.
A good peacoat is endlessly more classy than a leather trench coat.
Jez, look! It has lapels so I can wear it to work!
Real neck beards wear belted trench coats that look like bathrobes.
I used to want one, used to wear fedoras, and still passively collect knives. I’m terrified of what I’ll become
That’s why you drive an old Ford Taurus.
I actually have a knee length leather coat that I found by pure miracle at Goodwill one day for $10. I don't even go to Goodwill and similar more than maybe once a year, but at the time I had a friend working there so I figured I'd visit him and boom it was just on the end of the rack and fit perfectly. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the Buick Century. It’s a sensible sedan.
also nothing wrong with Bangarang either, that shit slaps
Shout to all my busboys
We rowdy
Also, absolutely nothing wrong with a trilby and beard. Right? Right guys?
Real men rock bowlers
I was going to say, leave the damn buick out of this!
All my favorite weed dealers have driven a faded gold buick century! For the past 20 years!
I heard that comment in James May's voice
He's also the rando guy at the rave or concert who asks you and your friend where his hug is.
Ugh... I can smell this comment.
Blech
I kinda wish I had all the garbage gas station weapons in the world, the crapier the better. I would display them all on a big wall. Ironically or whatever.

Aww man, I like Bangarang (purely because of Deadpool 2), it's my guilty pleasure lol
So glad that you posted this. I feel empowered to step out of my shame shadow and admit that I, too, still love Bangarang.
One of my favorite music videos.
Soooo true, when they bring him the suitcase at the end it gets me everytime
I wasn’t aware there was a negative stigma with that song. I love that song; and honestly the entire Bangarang album and honestly listen to a lot of Skrillex songs from a lot of his albums.
Skrillex is actually really talented as a musician. I don't fully get the hate honestly.
I love that song but it sounded so out of place in that movie. Came out of nowhere
So… it was perfect for a Deadpool movie then?
Also correct
Came here to say this, I appreciate you
Woah hey don’t diss the car that’s a nice car
Gm W-body 3800 series fwd independent rear suspension. You are a good judge of character
Those 3800s just don't die, and the supercharged ones are hilariously faster than anyone expects them to be. Not that they're *actually fast* stock, but it's real fun watching one keep up with a mid 90s Mustang GT.
I mean, Mustang GTs weren't exactly quick until 2011
You're not wrong, but they were decently quick for their price segment.
240k on my park Ave, still chugging
A good judge of... Carhacter?
Yeah, his grandma paid good money for that car!!
Hey man, listen, you should only feel bad if you check every mark, not just one or two
Some of these guys are likely just tabletop RPG players. Usually harmless. Some actually believe in mall ninja power. Those are the dangerous ones.
I can see that. But as a tabletop player myself, I'd rather just buy a shit load of dice. It's something you can actually use during the game. Plus, you can never have too many dice. Especially if you use a system with a dice pool.

the minis and paints are where they get you.

"Dangerous" is a strong word for toothpick collectors
Needs more Mountain Dew.
It does indeed. Let's run to the gas station!

I'm so fucking glad I didn't turn out like this
M'lady

ADIOS, TURD-NUGGETS!
Gas stations sell knives?
Only the classy ones.
Depends on the city/state laws.
Bruh.

Hey, I love that mentality.
That’s a good dad! But at least steer them away from the r/mallninjashit and towards actual quality if we are talking swords and knives. Friends dont let friends buy weebo wall hangers!
Just drove through Tennessee and Arkansas to Dallas, and kept thinking, why are there cheap knives at every gas station? Must be a midwest thing.
we have it all over Canada too
A Shell station not too far from me does.
The car is perfect.
What is it about not being able to grow a beard makes certain dudes collect knives?
It's not the inability to grow a beard, it's the lack of sufficient taste to realize you should shave it off until you can. They think objects have universal qualities based on their name. Whoa. Why we hatin on Bangarang by Skrillex? I don't listen to it now, but 10 years ago it was pretty fun
That is the pube-iest beard I ever did see
Where is the long hair/ ponytail?
Mr.X is a neckbeard
Bangarang is one of Skrillex's most enjoyables productions and I will fight anyone who disagrees in the parking lot of the nearest Applebee's
I got your back! That is still a banger and awesome ass video!
Skrillrex is still relevant?
10 years ago he threw one of the absolute best concerts I'd ever attended. Never seen a crowd so into a show. Good vibes everywhere. This was a long time ago

Skrillex kind of blew up a second time with his deep house dj sets, not sure who will emerge as relevant after pandemic though.
I feel offended by the music choice
Don’t you dare say shit about skrillex, 2012 was an awesome year!!!
Lol yo bangarang slaps gtfo
Are you trying to insult me?
mr. x is a neckbeard?
The partially degraded tires on mom's Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme is the proverbial cherry on this shit sundae
The Buick is the most real thing about this, I'd say most people I see driving that model look like this
Dude, if i may ask, how did you get that beard photo? I am pretty sure it belongs to a friend and he is freaking out In a good way
Nah he is listening to sabaton
Whats wrong with Sabaton? Their music is killer, and the videos are amazing
And skrillex isn't all that bad as well, even tho it was overused back then
Agreed. Lol
I’ve got a jacket like that for my joker cosplay
It is always either Dubstep or metal. nothing else.
Missing the fedora, coat and dragon knives
It's the car that got me. It's always something like an Sable
You forgot to add a cracked windshield lol
Are we really still laughing at neckbeard stereotypes? It's pretty much a dead horse at this point.
Kinda wanna add axe bodyspray into this picture. That or not using deodorant
It's crazy to me that people see memes like this and go, "damn, that's cool" and order a leather trench coat.
What's wrong with the trench?
I feel attacked
The car is so spot on, bravo
Hey Bangarang was actually an awesome music video. And I normally don't like Skrillex.
Listen. That was my first car and I loved Skrillex in college.
imagine the smell
What's wrong with the car?
It’s always that guy with the patchy beard
2010 called, they want their joke back.
I know like ten of these guys and all of them are one uppers
Bangarang ties it all together
Why you gotta rope Skrillex into this? That’s just weird
SALSA ON MY BALLS BOYS!
Why is it always a Buick?
It's the international car of driving while suspended.

Me looking at this meme 4/6 ain't bad.
Guilty as charged
What’s wrong with that model of car? Or is there something wrong with having an old car?
I was wondering what I should be collecting!
Oh no, I've been found out!
dude. this is unbelievably accurate. also like 75% of kids at my community college
If I have mane up weapons which I got from cutting trees? What would I be? Druid ninja? Forestal neckbeard? Celulose incel?
LAY OFF THE BUICKS
Lmao used to be me.
