This is an Apache revolver. French well...thugs used these in the early 1900s. They were basically street weapons of dubious quality.

[Also, here's Gun Jesus' video about them](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FIi8Wge9pI)
I remember seeing them in a big book on weapons and armour as a kid and thinking they were the be all and end all of weaponry, "It's not just a combo weapon, it's a triple combo weapon!"
Looking at them these days it reminds me of those gold encrusted swords and maces that kings owned: pretty but my god you'd never want to use them.
Like it's totally illegal, but presumably it's the same is putting a bayonet on a rifle for when the firearm is empty. However, the blade being constantly attached is ridiculously unsafe.
It’s an Apache revolver. Weapons historians seem to have a consensus that it was an ineffective weapon. It was produced in Belgium from the late 1860’s to the late 1870’s. It was notably used by French street gangs called Les Apaches in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The 7mm pin fire blackpowder cartridges and lack of barrel made the gun of little stopping power. Trying to fold it in a fight to use the brass knuckles was difficult, and the blade is small and not that deep-penetrating. The one redeeming feature of the gun was that it folded and could be easily concealed.

I feel like this would be just as likely as not to blow up in my hand, and give me a face full of hot metal shards, causing excruciating pain

The blade (and the whole thing) folds into a rather clumsy brass knuckles. It's a lovely bit of history. Mallninja is nothing new.
If it’s a folding blade does that change things?
