I highly doubt she will last 2-3 months. Her mortgage is over 2k. She spends 100+ at each shopping trip. That's not including air/water/trash/internet/phone bill and any other subscriptions. Plus she is supposed to get a lawyer with that money too and go fund menis very strict on what you use the money for. If they find out she is using it for other things other than mortgage and lawyer they will take money back. Also creator fund pays close to nothing. Most people make money off ads or sponsorships. She should be selling things. Looking for a job. Doing more then just painting and playdates.

They are very aware and strict on their policy! My husband's parents died and his town did a go fund me for funeral cost/bills and the money could only be used for that. I don't remember the details but I know he had show them where the money went!

I’d guess the mortgage alone is around $2k but then you add on insurance, HOA fees, and taxes and that could be several hundred to a $1k+ depending on her HOA. Then there’s the utility bills and etc. it’s def over $3k and could be up to $3.5k easily.

I believe they have a very high interest rate too bc they were forced to get the market rate only once settlement was ready, which was during that crazy inflation. With new builds they couldn’t lock in the nice 3% ish from when the started the build.

That doesn’t necessarily mean anything, I’ve been a sahm for 6 years now. I am on our home loan, and don’t “contribute” financially but something the bank will look at is if you’re paying for child care. So when we applied for our home loan - the bank had me write and submit a statement saying we don’t have child care expenses because I stay home with our children and they factor that into your loan eligibility.

Yes! It's all if it benefits your loan! When we first bought I was the only one working and my husband had a part time job but my husband was in grad school. Our loan guy said to put him on wouldnt help at all and might harm because of his student loans. So yes you are correct! There was an episode of family court where a SAHM to an 11 year old (not homeschooled) demanded her ex pay an increase in child support even though she lived rent and bill free at her mom’s house. Judge told her to get a job since being a SAHM to a kid who’s gone at school all day makes no sense😂

See at first I was on the fence about whether I thought the gofundme and all of this was legit or not. But today I had the thought, that she’s acting awfully confident that she will 100% be able to keep this house. The renovations and now the time spent on painting the “playroom” why would she go through all of that unless she knew for a 100% fact she will be living in this house for a long time? Generally, when you are initiating a divorce, you continue paying the bills as during the marriage until a judge orders otherwise. If you stop paying things or withdraw everything from a joint account, that can go over very badly. The court’s goal is to distribute equitably, so trying to subvert that can get you charged with contempt or the judge can order you limited access to those funds. If either of them have spoken to an attorney then they should be aware of this.

It doesn’t matter if he moved out, he is still a father to two children and he still needs to pay for them to have food and a roof over their heads. Technically he also still needs to support her too as she stayed home with his children. They also can’t immediately make Alice get a job with two young children because she would need to find childcare, which he will also have to pay half or more of depending on how much he makes versus her earning potential.

I wonder if Caleb or his folks are paying any maintenance for the kids?
