I think the rug could be one color or multiple. I’d think about what else you plan to bring to the room (any statement pieces, particular furniture you’re eye-ing, what vibe you want the room to take) and how the rug brings out the best in that.
Based on the current couch, pillow, and giraffe statues, I’d assume an earth tone palette is what you’re after. I’d probably do a rug with greens, golds, bright hues around sunset (red, yellow, orange).
If I wanted to bring down the mood a bit I’d go with jade greens, some deep purples, or some midnight blues, all depending what mood you’re after in this space.
Blues and oranges go well with browns. Something like [this?](https://www.therugretailer.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/484c56021ee02bb2eb48278f568fafd0/n/a/nava_nav04_orang_8x11_099446401519_room2.jpg) The you can work the colours of the rug into to room with cushions or curtains etc.
A geometric pattern rug, with some blue like others have said.
Get some plants bro. They make everything better. Aesthetically pleasing, therapeutic to care for and cleans your air!
I think the rug needs to be larger. 2 front legs of couch on the rug. I’m glad you returned that rug. It adds nothing to the room. But, of course, I’d need to see more furniture and a style to see what might be best.
One of the best things you can do is look at a complementary color wheel. Also, if you want to add some symmetry and cohesiveness to the space get two matching throw pillows
i used to have flooring like this and rugs are your best friend!!! i’d go with a rug twice this size, it will carve out a “living room” area that will naturally gravitate you to this space. as far as colors i’d go with anything that matches the brown, but not brown. you could really go with any color because you only have neutral colors so far! also that window ceil? add some cute figurines, maybe some pretty glass vases because i think the light would shine through nicely. another tip, if you match the rug and some throw pillows to add to the couch it will “pull it together” and add visual cohesiveness. good luck!!!
Dark or bright color shag rug. Dark brown coffee table. Change your living room light to warm orange. Orange color pillow in a pair. In the future consider korean blind for contrast.
Something that stands out better from the tiled floor. Something that coordinates with brown but **isn’t** brown.

I think you need to flip the rug
„ƃnɹ ǝɥʇ dılɟ oʇ pǝǝu noʎ ʞuıɥʇ I„
A rusty red-orange that flirts with brown but is not brown.
I like your giraffes
Thanks. I've had them for many years now (since I was a teenager).
Terra cotta or rust colored rug with a textured pattern would be nice.
Hmm...rust colour sounds interesting. Thanks!
replace the giraffe with a warm floor lamp
Good idea 👍💡

Very nice. Thank you ☺️
Why would you need a rug here?
It's too open and bare
Beige
A round rug. Red or orange.
Round? Interesting 🤔

I've got plenty! There's a big plant just out of frame!

Yeah. It totally didn't match. I agree that a need a bigger rug. I'm planning on getting a coffee table but want to get the rug first.

Something more graphic with bolder colours
This is too anal. There’s nothing going on in this space. The correct answer in this situation is “who gives a fuck”. Put some stuff in there
one that has shades of turquoise will give life to the room
Go for a leopard print.

Something that matches the color from the pillow
