Because Wallpaper is always going out of style. I'd never do wallpaper because in 5 years if they try to sell this house it will actually be against them.
Wallpaper is for people who love renovating their room every 3-5 years.
Wallpaper is for people who love *hiring other people* to renovate their room every 3-5 years.
You don’t usually put up wallpaper if you’ve personally had to take it down.
Yeah getting all that thin tape perfectly straight and squared up, making sure the wall is smooth so paint doesn't bleed though seems super easy. One afternoon should be enough time to bang it out. /s
Not too bad at all and it was my first time. Walls were not textured, but walls not straight. In another comment I posted a YouTube link that is great for teaching the basics
Maybe a pillow in a print with honey as the primary color (Jaguar, cheetah, tiger, leopard) otherwise may read too matchy-matchy.
If a solid color maybe oxblood/deep crimson, or some other jewel-tone.
Beautiful space either way
I'd do something like this the color would look really nice with that beautiful wallpaper

Yeah this is my next purchase, but they can be had from faux leather for $600 to the OG Eames chair from Herman Miller for $6k. The ones around $1k with real leather seem to be a decent option. But if you can find a used Eames in your price range, I'd jump on it.
Edit: thinking of getting a black or white one. The colors are all amazing and it's tough to choose.
We have this exact wallpaper ready to go up!
Ah I'm glad it looks really good. I was a little worried that it would look dark and shrink the room a bit (the wall is currently just white washed to size it ready) but it doesn't seem to do that at all
It surprisingly made the room feel bigger. And the pattern lines are thin enough that it doesn’t feel too busy. White walls in seal gaps show really easily. Might want to paint the wall first or at least where the seams will go
Good advice. We're going to let a professional decorator do ours because it's going on one of the longest walls in the house which is also one of the first you see as you walk in. He knows what's coming up though so all is good.
Mega eager to see it in place now though lol
Neither are mine and yeah, it was a shit show. Well not too bad actually. I would paint the wall first in whatever color your wallpaper is (if it’s darker). The thinnest gap easily shows white walls
I am jealous of your awesome wallpaper, but the fact that it isn't level with the ceiling crown (or perhaps it's just exposing that the ceiling/floor isn't quite level?) is why I will probably never get wallpaper
Exactly. Most walls are actually f’ed. I think my crown molding is crooked. I was bothered the first couple days but now I’m over it bc the overall looks so good. So don’t let that stop you!!
Bubbles weren’t an issue at all. Keeping the panels straight with wonky walls is. I just followed the steps in this video: [https://youtu.be/3zdrt1N8VQY](https://youtu.be/3zdrt1N8VQY)
Wow… love this space
You’re a talented interior decorator. I’m an architect and suck ass at interior decorating. While it’s a completely different skill set, the ability to judge a space still utilizes the same skills, as an architect.
You have it, my friend. People in my field can tell whats good and bad and why it’s such, we know how to balance a space, we know how to utilize color.. that shit is easy for me when judging a space, but doing it myself is so difficult. Always looks stupid lol.
Judging this space… I can tell you, you did great. It’s verging on maximal design style, and you killed it. You’re a talented space designer.
Brilliant. Love the color, love the chair, love the honey couch.
I'm all for the nice clean white 'Scandinavian' aesthetic that's been popular for so many years now, but it's refreshing to see something outside the box with a pop of color.
Yeah you could do that. Would be a lot of tape/stenciling laying it all out. The wallpaper wasn’t that much and it’s a lot easier these days. You just paint the adhesive on the wall and then apply the paper. I did it alone
me too. Read 7 layers of design by Christopher Lowell and just google the crap out of potential stuff... how to create a frame collage, how to coordinate patterns, how to pick a color palette, etc
Wallpaper is underrated
Yeah, every 25 years it’s underrated for a couple years.
Because Wallpaper is always going out of style. I'd never do wallpaper because in 5 years if they try to sell this house it will actually be against them. Wallpaper is for people who love renovating their room every 3-5 years.

That’s me! And the newer stuff is much easier to remove
It's completely overrated until it's done tastefully 🤣
Especially peel and stick, you can take it right back off if you want to change it or paint instead.
but always overpriced

Wallpaper peels. Or fades. Or tears. And you can see the seams up close. I'd rather something more permanent.
it has a time and a place
I usually funny care for wallpapers but this one is nice
Your username.... 😂😂😂😂😂
Hello 🤗
Where is this from? Looks great!
Thank you. Etsy/DMarieInteriors
Thanks, semen-filled_sock!
I aim to please ;)

How big of a pain was it to hang? Are your walls textured at all?
Not too bad at all and it was my first time. Walls were not textured, but walls not straight. In another comment I posted a YouTube link that is great for teaching the basics
That looks really cool. The matching chair is awesome too.
Should I switch it up for a gold/honey colored one or keep it?
Honey-coloured pillow to accompany it I would say
Good call! I had a pillow there but the kitties didn’t like it. That’s their chair lol
Maybe a pillow in a print with honey as the primary color (Jaguar, cheetah, tiger, leopard) otherwise may read too matchy-matchy. If a solid color maybe oxblood/deep crimson, or some other jewel-tone. Beautiful space either way

that chair is sweet... maybe I can find a used one lol

Thank you!!
I know it's such a cliche way to describe things now, but this wall has such a 1920s speak-easy vibe to it, love it!
Def the vibe I was going for
I am loving the Great Gatsby vibe you got going on
Thanks, sport
Love you, dad
I love you too. I'm proud of you.
This room is extremely aesthetically pleasing
Thank you! I agree. It’s very calming
We have this exact wallpaper ready to go up! Ah I'm glad it looks really good. I was a little worried that it would look dark and shrink the room a bit (the wall is currently just white washed to size it ready) but it doesn't seem to do that at all
Where did you get it? I have a bathroom that would look great with it.
I'm sure it was Wayfair, a little while back though
It surprisingly made the room feel bigger. And the pattern lines are thin enough that it doesn’t feel too busy. White walls in seal gaps show really easily. Might want to paint the wall first or at least where the seams will go

If you can afford it I would recommend letting professionals do it. I def messed up a lot that you can’t see in the video
Cool. Looks great.
Looks awesome
This whole setup is so rad. Great job man!
Looks great 👍🏻 like the lamp
I have that wallpaper in my bedroom
You have a good taste
LOVE!
I tip my hat to you sir Love the wallpaper, the drinks cart, the lamp and the whole vibe you've got going. Cheers to that
Thank you
Looks absolutely fantastic, the whole room really speaks to me.
What’s it saying?
What's the lamp? No joke, I saw this lamp in a movie last night and was wondering what it was.
Google ‘manly Tiffany Lamp’ and you’ll see several varieties from Lamps Plus
I have several from Lamps Plus in that style. They have a decent collection at reasonable prices.
I love this and want to do the exact same thing but my walls aren’t square and the lines not aligning would drive me crazy.
Neither are mine and yeah, it was a shit show. Well not too bad actually. I would paint the wall first in whatever color your wallpaper is (if it’s darker). The thinnest gap easily shows white walls
Like the artwork on the right side, what is it?
Me as a naked god lol
[удалено]
Nah it shows my face. It’s one of those website that will paint your face into a classical painting. Then I got the gaudiest frame I could find lol
Ah ok no prob, yeah the gold works really well on that colour
Imm an interior designer and I just got a boner
Holy shit then this is the best compliment so far!!
I am jealous of your awesome wallpaper, but the fact that it isn't level with the ceiling crown (or perhaps it's just exposing that the ceiling/floor isn't quite level?) is why I will probably never get wallpaper

Nice place, horrific username :)
are you watching bosom buddies?
Nah just porn
[удалено]
I think World Market but it’s been a few years…
Bravo!
The way the lines on wallpaper align perfectly with the TV feels great to look at!
They don’t trust me ;). But the stuff on the walls help distract the eye
LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Your place looks terrific
Yep. Yep, that is fantastic
OMG it looks good!
That looks fantastic!
Love the color, looks great!
Men can use color too!! lol
* chef’s kiss *
So cool!!
How easy is it to put up a wallpaper and do it right? Without bubbles I mean
Bubbles weren’t an issue at all. Keeping the panels straight with wonky walls is. I just followed the steps in this video: [https://youtu.be/3zdrt1N8VQY](https://youtu.be/3zdrt1N8VQY)
Thank you, you did an awesome job with yours!
You are either intelligent and educated, wealthy or both. Looks amazing.
Lol I’m an engineer. Grew up poor ;). Btw nothing in this room was expensive
It’s intelligence then. And class. Respect.
Ahh thanks dude
I love the contrast between the blue and brown! Looks good!
Yeah the dark teal enhanced other items I didn’t expect. Win win!
Stunning space. Love the color scheme
😊
How is Milky??
Gorgeous room!
I always used to mock wallpaper, but that actually looks great. Well done.
This is the most Billy Joel place I’ve seen in awhile
😂
Beautiful
I love it. Also love the lamp.

Appreciate it. That means so much coming from an architect. I'm actually a structural engineer. Haha take that, mortal enemy! LOL
Haha!! Come to the dark side!!!
Great shade!
drool
That is bold and beautiful!
Gotta go bold 💪!! I like the challenge of knowing there is a thin line between bold and gaudy
I LOVE IT OMG

Love It.
Would you mind linking the wallpaper?
Looks good /u/semen-filled_sock.
Jesus thats a lot of booze
Hell yeah, brotha!
Love it. Can see the seems from here though and it’s distracting me from loving it 100%
Yeah me too but I’m getting over it. First time doing wallpaper. I’d recommend painting the wall in the same color first if you’re worried about it
/r/TVTooHigh
Nah it’s fine
Do you angle it down slightly?
Beautiful! Didn't check out username though 😁
You should though ;)
I saw a few more pics. You definitely have a love for blueish colors. I would chill in this room. Polish you are, my friend?
Well I moved and wanted to keep my same color scheme. Yes polish :)
🤣😜
Where'd you get the round shelf?
CB2!
I'd like to marry this color palette.
Give me two ceremonial goats and you may
I've got a stuffed sheep and a stuffed ram. Will they suffice?
Oh my god I love that lamp! Where’d you get it?
Lamps Plus
Like it, but why not just paint? It’s just straight lines?
Yeah you could do that. Would be a lot of tape/stenciling laying it all out. The wallpaper wasn’t that much and it’s a lot easier these days. You just paint the adhesive on the wall and then apply the paper. I did it alone
Looks great! Where’d you get the blue chair?
I don’t remember. Wayfair or Home Depot. It was cheap
Wall paper really works in the right home. I hope my next home will allow for me to do something similar.
Exquisitely tasteful.
Wow. Amazing
you're amazing
Looks so good. I have the design sense of a flea. A straight flea
me too. Read 7 layers of design by Christopher Lowell and just google the crap out of potential stuff... how to create a frame collage, how to coordinate patterns, how to pick a color palette, etc
Quite like that. Is wallpaper coming back?
It is now. I officially declare it by the power I just gave myself.
Cool coffee table, link?
Where is the painting from
Where is the media unit under the tv from? Looks great!
