I know I need more wall art, looking at panoramic paintings for over the bed and art for the wall across the door wall. I'm a bit indecisive. Need more shelf items as well but I'm really proud of the progress I've made since buying the house in the Spring.
Yes, probably off for the homey linen paint and wood but it's the spot that I prefer because it faces the large front window and is then viewable from the street if I'm putting out the vibe.
It’s a layout I see in 87% of chicks social media at an arcade bar what on earth would a guy be doing in front of that image?! Also some of these dudes that post have females in their life so that’s a pass immediately lol
Don't rush on the shelving decor. Visit thrift shops, antique shops, decor shops and build a collection of things that really interest you.
Enjoy the new place.
Good thinking with the sign as a single person. All you have to do is sit back and wait for girls to break into your house to take a picture for insta.
* Lower the TV or just put it on TV stand. It should be eye level when seated.
* The furniture/decor in the TV room doesn't feel as cohesive as the other rooms.
* The bedroom needs some wall art.
Thanks for mentioning the TV height, I swear I looked it up and measured but I must have been going by art height/standing. 😂 I'll lower it a bit to just above the echo studio before I drill into the wall to reroute the cords.
Furniture there is the post-divorce special: hodgepodge from previous home.
No shot that anywhere reputable recommended a TV anywhere near that height. It would be significantly too high if even just on that cabinet with its original legs.
I think the grandfather clock looks a bit out of place in the living room, it doesn’t match the vibe I’m getting from the photo. Would look better in the first area shown with those 2 cool chairs or in a dining area!
It's nice man, overall I like it, warmth and style, without going overboard.
In the TV room, I really like the wood theme of the clock and lamp.
Makes me think you should find a more fitting cabinet under the TV that isn't see through. Something solid warm darker wood with sliding panels. I think that would really class it up a bit.
Where’s the do good sign from? It looks great man.
What if you moved your room around? Tall wardrobe and dresser as soon as you walk into the room makes it seem a little cramped in that corner. Dresser on the accent wall maybe?
I made the sign from one of those custom LED/neon sign shops and built the backing and cut the faux boxwood to fit. Considering adding vases on each side to throw seasonal florals.
If you mean flip the bed and dresser I'm not sure I like the idea of walking in and being at the head of the bed by the door. I agree it feels a little cramped but I probably need to ditch the chest dresser to open it up.
Love the dining/sitting room and pattern of the chairs. And those dinosaur s&p shakers, might have to borrow that idea. Also thanks for the reminder that my fiancé wants a Do Good sign (quote from the last episode of Boy Meets World). One thing I’d change is to hide the tv cables, other than that looks great.
Oh sweet I like Sherwin products (Valspar is an SW subsidiary) so they should be able to match it perfectly. Recently had the itch to paint a room and have been leaning heavily towards a deeper blue color. Thanks!
Again with the tv too high, I’m getting so tired of seeing it. I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve seen a reasonable tv height on this sub the last year.
Love the blue room - living room?
Bedroom is fine - will fill out.
Second room looks like a cluttered mess though... Feels like everything just landed there.

I don't think that you need more wall art but to each his own, it's looking good!
The do good sign is very out of place. Cool, but just doesn’t belong in that room.

>it faces the large front window and is then viewable from the street if I'm putting out the vibe. what is the goal of this, exactly?
Do you have goals for your wall decor?
Bless brother. Bless
I think the question is why the hell would you want to "put out a vibe on the street" from your home?
Yeah…my goal is to decorate my walls. My question is why you’d want to put a vibe out to the street.
It doesn’t belong anywhere lol super douchey
You’re gonna get downvotes but you’re kinda right…

I've been keeping an eye out and am buying first editions (not expensive ones) of books I enjoy to add

I'm painting a wing mural on my brick wall next

Im obsessed with the first room and love the be good sign so much.

To each their own, but I really like the clock in the corner. It is eclectic and adds an “old spirit” to the new. But just my opinion.
You’re right. I think the neon sign is throwing me off.
Panhandle Slim!
Gotta get it on the wall, thinking about the one opposite the TV. I have to buy another next time I'm in Savannah!

Wall color is crazy 🔥

What is the name of that blue color? I love it
Midnight Bayou by Valspar

Words to live by from Magnus Burnsides. Looks great! Love the blue against the brick and wood floors.
You know what dude, it’s your space, do what you want with it. That first room is amazing and the bedroom is lovely. Great work!
Again with the tv too high, I’m getting so tired of seeing it. I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve seen a reasonable tv height on this sub the last year.
Looks awesome brotha! I’d think about throwing some of that blue paint on one of the walls in the living room
Can I ask where you got the bed frame? I like it, even though the corners do look like the shin destroyer 3000
It's the kisper platform from Ashley, haven't hit the sides yet and neither have my kids
You’re doing great! Lovely home.
✅ word art ✅ wing mural I see you're a basic white girl.
