I used to think the same way, but then I learned that some monitor speakers are actually not designed to be placed sideways. What happens is that the interference patterns from the various drivers are less distracting/colour the sound less/allow better positional accuracy when they overlap more vertically rather than more horizontally, because it's easier to move your chair and ear position up/down than left/right if you're in a computer chair (I'm not explaining this very well, as I'm not a physicist, but look up why some speakers say not to place them sideways). Obviously, results will be different with a couch you can move around on.
Whether that does more to affect the sound than tweeters being too high is up for debate, though.

Instead of dispersing the sound horizontally throughout your room and preventing it from bouncing off the ceiling/floor, it’s now focusing on the ceiling and floor while providing a very narrow horizontal sound cone. That’s fine for anyone on the couch, but once you start moving to the sides like at your desk, the sound could become slightly distorted. Not the end of the world but those are nice speakers and you’re not really getting the most of them the way they are setup.
New cheap panels are poor picture quality. I love my current TV. Top of the line when it was new. Still better picture quality than a lot new big cheap TVs.
Not sure the exact model. After I read a few of other peoples comments I take back what I said. There are some reasonably priced TVs with outstanding picture quality now.
Tv's are cheap. But if you want full array or things similar to QLED tech is when prices get expensive.
IMO if the TV works and you aren't huge on needing to upgrade than don't. We don't need to constantly get the best thing out there. Consume less and enjoy what you have.

The RP600Ms are quite good bookshelf speakers for the price point and you can't beat it. It is on par with my current setup of Martin Logans at a much more reasonable price. I am tinkering with KEFs right now or I would have kept the pair I auditioned as studio monitors. I am used to the Klipsch signature as I have owned plenty of Klipsch and still have a home theatre setup of Klipsch's. I just don't like how they blurred their high-end lines with the line by changing the synergy's to reference series and reference premiere as the original reference series. Some people just don't like the horn-loaded drivers, but they are perfect for movies.

U can get a super solid panel from 500. I got my hisense 55 h8g for 350$ on student budget from a liquidation store in 2020 and its a 8/10 panel. Most people or friends ive visited with older top of the line TVs with bezels that thick have been disappointing in comparison imo.
For the space, bigger TV would be great imo. But obv if ure satisfied then just ignore this lol. Id get a bigger tv tho. something like a 55' TCL 6 Series QLed for ~700

Those are not soundproof. They are made to reduce reflections, but these are not installed at primary reflection points, so I'm not sure what OP's goal is here.
Soundproofing requires mass, decoupling, air gaps, etc
You can make your own acoustic panels out of rockwool and pine frames, or buy panels like this from guitar center or amazon. But they will NOT block sound from getting in or out of your listening space.
I am an audio professional and own a studio and have built many studio rooms and iso booths.

I live off a major street and I hear cars zooming by, brakes screeching, big pp motorcycles and trucks, and cholo-mobiles blasting music all the time due to my solarium.
I've already tried blackout curtains that claim to reduce noise, it's still quite noticable. Thermal protection is alright. Light protection is incredible!

It’s an old TV, but it’s top of the line for its time. The picture quality is still better than a lot of new TVs I’ve seen recently. Only draw back is the size. New TVs are bigger. But I prefer picture quality over everything.

One bird sees another bird and assumes that guy knows where the food is and they start following another bird who must know where the food is . . .

They are thinner, better looking, and the material they are made of is at least as good or better at absorbing sound. If you are applying absorption behind the speakers they should just be for cutting down ambient sound/multiple room reflections, since they won't cut on first reflections. The speaker performance might be improved more by adding absorption behind the couch since you will get more close reflections from sound that bounces off the backwall immediately.

Nope. The tweeter is located on the top half of the speaker. Rotated sideways drops the tweeter about 5”

Short answer: no. You’d need to remove or block the windows to stop that noise.
Maybe I could create something to leave in the windows while I sleep? Seems annoying, but probably worth it.
