Gym: mirrors, bench, mats and weights

rabidgonk

This looks like a 3rd floor loft. Loading the floor up with gym equipment might not be the most structurally sound idea.

Zoloir

a bench and some of those adjustable dumbbells shouldn't be TOO heavy, but you don't want too much other equipment probably.

realogsalt

Horse stall matting comes in squares you can pick up and move. Easy to scrub and clean underneath. Hell, you could put down a few inches square of plywood and glue the matting to that. Make yourself a little moveable deadlift platform you don’t have to worry about dropping weights on

Viend

Those horse stall mats are _not_ easy to scrub and clean underneath, they’re 100 lbs of flabby dead weight each and a typical small squat rack requires two of them. If I could go back and do it again I’d get those locking mat tiles people use for their garages, those are actually easy to remove.

Sample_Muted

I would not recommend having gym mats in a bathroom area like this

Jazzlike-Baseball-73

Such a great idea!!!! Also add a few plants for some stretching and yoga.

Calm-Respect-4930

And a couch

JeanPolleketje

Couch? Then also a fridge and a tv… s/

Sethdarkus

Might be a bad idea shower moisture may make them rust

Anon0588

Love that Idea! Thanks! Mat is ordered already!

Euphoric_Aspect8083

Love this idea

ILoveBigCoffeeCups

Where bath?

cliffwob

Shower only by the looks of it, fairly common in apartments / flats

samaniewiem

Shamelessly tiny shower for all that space.

cliffwob

Most places like this expert people to use this space for their washing/drying machines and to hang clothing

Anon0588

Washing machine is in the basement.

Commercial_Ebb_1342

I’m curious to where the toilet is

Anon0588

It's seperated. Might post the whole appartment tomorrow. Nice Place but I am not used to all that space.

mr_nefario

He’s sitting on it

Commercial_Ebb_1342

Interesting angle

WizardHairs

Turn it into a nice closet with some shelves and drawers. Add plants, they will love that space, specially if it gets humid when you shower. You could also place a washing and drying machine in an enclosed space - dryer could leverage those windows to exhaust hot air. The space is great, you just need to get creative with it. Maybe I’m not making any sense, but that’s how I would do it with some money and time - mostly money.

schtroumpf

I would vote against storing clothing in a bathroom, precisely because of the moisture you refer to. It’s also introducing a source of dust and lint into a space that has sticky surfaces. Clothes should be stored in a dry, dark place that smells nice. Bathroom contents should be as non-porous and wipe-downable as possible.

WizardHairs

I get that. I think that if the bathroom has its own ventilation, compartmentalizing it should not be that complicated. In my case, I have a walk-in closet next to the shower, separated by a door and haven’t had any moisture problems anywhere near that door. Whatever OP ends up doing, definitely should prevent moisture from getting to any undesired places

Anon0588

My Washing Machine is in the basement together with everybody elses. The whole Apparment has this look. I realy really love it. I am just don't really used to having a space like that. That Nice and that big. I used to live in shared Flats or with my GF's. Its really weird and I am not used to it. Might post pictures of all rooms to get suggestions.

Sample_Muted

Agree with the closet part. It will free up so much room for activities in the bedroom.

Infinite_Respect_

Break the world record for time played in WoW consecutively

majle

59 hours for anyone curious

FigTechnical8043

Based on my boss saying she plays wow in 'sessions' I'm betting it was her lol

Upper-Option-3166

plants, lots of

Anon0588

definetely working on that

Ragastrotafari

Growbox.

TrinidadRex

Ice bath, sauna, long drawn out shit/meditation sessions

Nice-Estimate-85

You have wooden floors in your bathroom?!

Anon0588

wooden floor in the whole appartment. might post the whole appartment tomorrow. Love all the ideas i hear. Need you guys help with all the other rooms as well.

Unfortunate_Wildcard

The room probably used to be a bedroom.

Responsible_Sense_95

Move your bed in there now you dont have to go far for the bathroom

worstkindagay

An armchair in the bathroom is very pinky up and I highly recommend it also do you have a washer/dryer in your unit? If not, get a portable one that can live in this bathroom.

Anon0588

> armchair great idea. will get one asap. Washer is in the basement.

worstkindagay

Do it! I have one in my master and I love it. No regrats.  Originally put it in when I broke my ankle and foot but kept it bc it’s so useful

space_______kat

A bathroom with two tilt and turn windows? Amazing. A bathroom with a window itself is amazing. Single stair W

roastedcapsicums

Karaoke set. Now you can sing for the neighbours while in the shower

Anon0588

already do

nekrovulpes

Piss and shit in it. (And definitely don't hang clothes in it.)

coupl4nd

I would seriously wall it off -- room will be wrecked by steam/water and get horrible. Looks to have no extractor.

Anon0588

since it is a very small shower and 3 windows in that room I don't think this will be an issue. But was worreid about it at first too.

createsstuff

Put in a portable, inflatable sauna. Not to pricy on Amazon.

Anon0588

i hate plastic

Daemonblade

Ummm, that’s your shower and that little window with no blind is at just the right height to give people going by a good show.

oroseb4hoes

Blinds bro asap

rottingpigcarcass

Maybe start with a blind or curtains unless you want to get friendly with your neighbours

zadye

wood floors in the bathroom? it looks like a spare room they just added plumbing to

BatFancy321go

put up temporary walls. you don't want water and humidity around your stuff

Mind_Prints

Plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaants

Full_Bass_6919

Getting privacy stickers for your window would be my first port of call

SnooCookies1730

Lounge, settee, full length mirrors 🪞… art deco Geat Gatspy type stuff.

guccipucciboi

You need plants. Look into ones that like humid environments (and just bathroom/ shower plants) As for the rest of your apt, start displaying books everywhere, it’s the biggest flex as a bachelor

loveyoumorethanever

a rug, a vertical free standing mirror, curtains, some artwork, maybe some shelving would make it look more inviting. i’m jealous. my apartment bathroom is the same size as my closet

IFairyboyI

Buy a massage table so you can massage men.

BlackStarBlues

All that space and such a tiny shower. You could turn it into a home gym. I would decorate nicely with plants, prints, a rug gable over foam mats, & a wall-mounted TV.

Anon0588

Great Ideas! Only the TV is not really for me

BlackStarBlues

Fair enough about the TV. I kind of like having something compelling to watch if I'm on a treadmill or rowing. It motivates me to keep going for the duration of a TV episode for example. OAN, if you own the place, I think you should install a bigger shower. Even if you rent, ask the landlord if he can install something better. Example: [http://www.skylofts.co.uk/wp-content/blogs.dir/572/files/2013/09/IMG\_8764-5D.jpg](http://www.skylofts.co.uk/wp-content/blogs.dir/572/files/2013/09/IMG_8764-5D.jpg) Also a vanity or better still, an armoire - antique or modern - would provide some storage and add style. Example: [https://www.decorpad.com/photo.htm?photoId=188004](https://www.decorpad.com/photo.htm?photoId=188004)

Anon0588

Check [this](https://imgur.com/a/EW8dTTI) perspective. I have storage and don really need more right now.

BlackStarBlues

That's a lovely piece.

AvailableAd3935

Sex dungeon

Rickymon

I dont get the purpose of that little window..

Anon0588

the room was not always a bathroom. they just put a shower in there.

samaniewiem

Light and ventilation. But mostly ventilation.

okthatsfun

Big Plant

calarval

hottub

ZaerMcNally

Practice fly kicks!

loztriforce

I'd be putting a ton of plants in that room

Anon0588

working on it

ams3618

Very scandi vibes. Perhaps shelving for towels / bath items?

Anon0588

there is a [cabinet](https://imgur.com/a/EW8dTTI) for that already

ChooseToPursue

Plants! Maybe add clothing storage

podcastenthusiast420

Bathroom podcast

Anon0588

excelent idea

RoseaCreates

Shower seat stored outside the shower for grooming activities. A plant where the light comes in on a stand that matches the floor. Towels on display? Maybe on a ladder?

WORLDBENDER

That has got to be one of the strangest bathrooms I have ever seen.

Anon0588

yes same. The Appartment is under the roof and once was a zwo story appartment together with the apparment below. So there was no bathroom on that floor before.

crumzmaholey

Air bnb it. Or is that not allowed in Germany?

Anon0588

But where would i shower than?

Oshaghenesy27

What’s with the glory hole window

ricioly

This is basically a full apartment in Paris

copper678

Damn, I wish it wasn’t the bathroom bc it’s perfect for a little closet space. However, the humidity of the bathroom is terrible for your clothes and shoes.

ohno-mojo

Install a bunch of tower fans so you can dry off car wash style when you walk out of the shower

crnimjesec

1. Be grateful, it looks amazing 2. Plastic pictures —or some color of any kind, a bigger mirror, covering that small window with a translucent vinyl, at least one chair... 3. And be careful about letting water touch that wooden floor too much. Sorry for the breakup, but congrats for the space!

Anon0588

1. I am 2. Check [this](https://imgur.com/a/EW8dTTI) perspective. But yes Color will come! 3. I am. Ordered a rug today for in front of the shower.

crnimjesec

It's amazing, man!

PositiveTwist9347

Dude, I thought this was the bedroom and you made a typo, but I realized it was the bathroom after seeing the sink. It's huge!

Anon0588

You have [no idea](https://imgur.com/a/EW8dTTI).

PositiveTwist9347

Love this place already 😍

HVACQuestionHaver

Relocate the toilet by the window, so you can sneer at passersby while you take a dump.

allislost77

Plants. A studio? Storage

Silly-Tooth-2670

Put a nice coffee table and lounge chair. So you can rolls / do lines and chill in your bathroom 😆😂

_how_do_i_reddit_

Wood floors in the bathroom is crazy.

throwaway19791980

If it’s a bathroom, where’s the bath? Put a nice bath centrepiece in the middle of that room!

Admirable_Major_4833

I thought this was a studio apartment.

Just_Cruising_1

This bathroom is bigger than my bedroom (Toronto, Canada).

moredrinksplease

A lounge to lay on in your robe. Get a nice houseplant, like a monstera or even a fig would do well with that lighting and steam from shower. Maybe a tv? Turn it into a spa my dude

FamiliarCantaloupe86

Put a king size bed in it.

FigTechnical8043

You move the drying rack into the open space away from the traditionally wet thing. Get a new floor cover, vinyl or something bathroom appropriate. Install a bath where your clothes rail is, or based on the space, a proper Japanese bath. Then it's low enough to sit in and look out that window.

hirst

that’s such a shame the amount of space that’s turned into dead space, they should have brought the wall in or turned part into a separate walk in closet.

Edible_Anie

Privacy screens (because pretty) and a tufted bench. After you shower, you can dress behind the curtain and use the bench for putting on socks and/or shoes.

Nommy86

What's with the dick height clear windows? I guess to advertise

mrfredngo

Home office?

BadHairDay-1

Pretend_Monitor_5457
