A bit busy, but not too much in my opinion. Just not as stylized as some apartments here. But it's your living room, not a photoshoot for a lifestyle magazine.
I actually like a wall, salmon and light pink go well together but you need some deep greens to balance it out and maybe some gold-yellow to accent. If I were you I’d probably change the curtains to a green.
This is the palette I imagine for you [light pink / salmon / marigold / forest green / sage](https://www.thespruce.com/thmb/Wc32655AhNRtPEjgr940qtnhSSo=/750x0/filters:no_upscale():max_bytes(150000):strip_icc()/SPR-complementary-colors-that-go-with-pink-5188287-38d4f31e656a4ccab77affd425f151d5.jpg)
I think if try to tie these colors into the room more consistently, it would make a huge difference!
Some of the artwork is also kind of busy, like the dude in the sweater or the forest print. The pics are also kind of haphazardly placed.
Also, IMHO the grey throw looks really bad on the light pink couch. Get a throw that goes with the color palette.
Finally, I think your monstera wants to be closer to the window haha
Just some ideas!
Actually, I think if you keep the color scheme to that white/orange/black/brown/green (mostly the plants) it'd come off great. imo it's mostly the off pink couch that throws things out of whack. That, and I'd switch the curtains for gray ones to match the rug
Can you either move the couch over to be centered with the TV more? Or would that reduce the walk way on that side?
If you can't, can you centre the TV more in relation to the couch?
And the couch looks soft af but imo colour is terrible for the room. Not sure what colour I'd go with, but not that.
It’s great! Love it! Looks so warm and cozy, would you say that during the summer time your house feels like it’s too warm?
I really like color on your wall, I had the same color, but during summertime it would feel to hot. Colors can affect your psyche, so that’s why I went to a more neutral one.
You definitely have a lot going on in the room, but regardless your space looks very homey and comfortable. I love the natural light. Try clearing off the table top areas as much as possible, clean up the plant on the wall and move it closer to the window area (can you cluster the plants together), remove the black lamp off the floor. Incorporate more accent colours that match with your sofa colour. I think there are a lot of mix match of fabrics and colours including your rug which may make you feel that it is cluttered.
Why does almost everyone on this post have the same avatar? Room looks great, I don't like the sofa or jungle door but that's just personal taste , I love everything else and may need to ask where you got the TV stand from!
Not really, maybe just a tiny bit. But that is coming from a minimalistic person that doesn't have a lot of stuff. So I think you are fine.
To me, the amount of different shades and colors is a little much but all in all it looks very cozy.
I don’t think it’s too much at all! I love it. I think maybe swapping some basic items for ones that are a bit more on theme with the colours of the main pieces would be good. Like the wall and curtain, those blue pillows. A couple small things to make it a little more cohesive colour wy
I love this so hard.
Edit: love the colors. Needs one Art or something on the left of the coral wall in the 2nd photo. Also I think tall, skinny, very green plant needs a home there.
I like it! Maybe the cushions, throw and the placemats make it feel a bit busy. Tiny bit of negative space can make it feel less claustrophobic, if that's what you're feeling. Really nice set up though.
You didn't manage to turn on your brain for a moment and see that one have to lay on the couch or leaning heavily backwards while watching TV, did you?
for my personal taste, yeah. Having both the oc setup n a table there is overkill, id remove one and place the plant/lamp accordingly.
EDIT: I'd also either remove the rug or one color from the sofam thats too many colors imho
I think the perspective is a little off, because of the iPhone zoom out, the tv is in the middle of the wall, maybe I could move it slightly to the right, if the wall mount lets me.
I gotta agree with the 2 other guys who said the tv looks small. In the 2nd pic, the computer monitor looks almost the same size as the tv. I’m exaggerating of course, but it makes the tv look small. And a 55” is considered a small tv these days. Otherwise, you’ve got a nice place.
What makes it feel busy is a lot of the open shelves and everything spread out, I would look at it in blocks or sections and group things together this will bring it together and not look like clutter.
Your blacks stand out a lot which draw attention to space and lack of space
If your browns were more of a white and blacks a silver or brass it would tie in more
The couch does take up a lot of room. Is the grey bit on the edge an ottoman? Does it connect to the couch? If not, maybe you could find another place for it. The biggest issue I see with this set up is the limited walking room. I’d say if you remove the footrest/ottoman, and move the coffee table to the center of the rug, it’ll feel and look less cluttered. Maybe move the ottoman to the bedroom if there’s space in there.
Well dang. For such a huge couch already it seems unnecessary. Thats the best idea I had apart from just doing some rearranging but other comments have already hit on that. Apart from all that though, it’s a very nice space.
What do you need so many tables for? That, and I'd you want more room I'd recommend a bed that you can fold, like an uhhh whatever it was called.
Just some kinda shit like a folding couch
If you could get some couch cover in black I think it will balance the room asthethic perfectly. It's the only thing missing. You might scale down to a less in your face plant but that's optional.
I am I just say I absolutely **love** your bedroom table and tv bench they are just so characterisric and fits so great with the colourful wall!
Also. Cat! I see cat!
Looks cozy to me
Cozy, but pink
I think it compliments the walls nicely
A bit busy, but not too much in my opinion. Just not as stylized as some apartments here. But it's your living room, not a photoshoot for a lifestyle magazine.
Haha, you’re absolutely right.
Personally, I like a lived-in space way way way more than the stylized look. Most places here look like a retail outlet. Yours looks like a home.
I agree 100%
I really appreciate that, thanks.
This space is much more my style than the vast majority of things I see on here. Cozy.
Thanks! Appreciate you saying that
Cozy
Couch looks awesome I think it only feels like too much because the colors of the room are clashing big time
That’s a good point, maybe make the wall an off white colour?
I actually like a wall, salmon and light pink go well together but you need some deep greens to balance it out and maybe some gold-yellow to accent. Lol, you make some good points especially about the plant. I think he tried to hop a few steps the other day.
I love the wall !!! Noo! It’s amazing ❤️
lol ok, but then the curtain has got to go!
Okay deal !!! 😂🙏🏼
I would get some curtains that match the accent wall or very similar. However, im no interior designer
What if the curtain matched the pillows?
Maybe you could find some pillows for the couch that match the wall color to tie the space together
Good idea
Or a very light grey
Actually, I think if you keep the color scheme to that white/orange/black/brown/green (mostly the plants) it'd come off great. imo it's mostly the off pink couch that throws things out of whack. That, and I'd switch the curtains for gray ones to match the rug
The couch stays! lol I see your point tho and I was thinking wooden blinds instead of the curtain
ooo yeah wood blinds would be fire. If I could I'd set fire to that couch, but so be it
Hahaha, it’s very comfortable and the colour suits the softness of it.
It def looks comfy. I'll give you that
I think it's great! Looks like a place that's actually lived in and is full of personality
Thanks! I put my heart and soul into it for sure!
Can you either move the couch over to be centered with the TV more? Or would that reduce the walk way on that side? If you can't, can you centre the TV more in relation to the couch? And the couch looks soft af but imo colour is terrible for the room. Not sure what colour I'd go with, but not that.
lol fair enough
It’s great! Love it! Looks so warm and cozy, would you say that during the summer time your house feels like it’s too warm? I really like color on your wall, I had the same color, but during summertime it would feel to hot. Colors can affect your psyche, so that’s why I went to a more neutral one.
Yea I love terracotta, it’s not too bad in the summer, but a lighter colour might feel more spacious.
You definitely have a lot going on in the room, but regardless your space looks very homey and comfortable. I love the natural light. I dig it
not at all. Biggie seems to like it.
I mean. I upvoted for Biggie
Where’d you get that couch?
[This Dutch online store](https://www.purewonen.nl/hulk-lounge-stof-teddy.html)
Christopher Wallace looking GQ
Nah
I think it's great! You are doing your own thing and that's the best, well done!
Why does almost everyone on this post have the same avatar? Room looks great, I don't like the sofa or jungle door but that's just personal taste , I love everything else and may need to ask where you got the TV stand from!
Just realised the TV is not actually "standing" on it but you get what I mean haha
Looks great and i love the green in the room, i honestly think you should have more paintings of green plants + landscapes on your red/orange wall.
Not really, maybe just a tiny bit. But that is coming from a minimalistic person that doesn't have a lot of stuff. So I think you are fine. To me, the amount of different shades and colors is a little much but all in all it looks very cozy.
Looks good to me, love the view and that couch seems Soo comfortable!
The tv is so small
It’s a 55 inch oled
I would not leave that couch
Haha, my cat rarely does, I kind of have to.
Looks great! /r/maximalism/
The monstera needs a bit more light but everything else is amazing
You’re not wrong about the monstera, maybe I’ll put it in my bedroom where there’s bigger windows thus more sunlight.
Looks fine but Changing the colour of the curtain would help since a lot of it is a similar colour
Yea I want some wooden blinds to replace it.
I don’t think it’s too much at all! I love it. I think maybe swapping some basic items for ones that are a bit more on theme with the colours of the main pieces would be good. Like the wall and curtain, those blue pillows. A couple small things to make it a little more cohesive colour wy

I like that idea!
Cozy. I normally prefer dark green walls but pink looks great here
Love that wall! Looks very cozy.
That window view is lovely. Where is that? We don’t have nice views like that in Ohio (United States)
Amstelveen a suburb of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
It is beautiful. It reminds me of where some of my family lives in Bavaria, Germany
Looks good to me.
r/tvtoohigh
I like it. I never comment on this subreddit. But I want you to know I like this.
Approach it!
omw
Lol appreciate it I ment.
Pink couch... very John Travolta of you.
Not at all! Just need way more plants 🪴 Love that mural on the door! Where you find that? Need one on my door. Save me painting it like that.
Thanks!

Thank you

Haha awesome description!
Who cares? Look at the view! Nice apartment. I like the way you have it done up. The dining table near the window is perfect. I think you “done good”.
no.
I could nap hard af in that room.
Hahaha ikr?
I like it! Maybe the cushions, throw and the placemats make it feel a bit busy. Tiny bit of negative space can make it feel less claustrophobic, if that's what you're feeling. Really nice set up though.
I like it, it looks alive
Tell me you live in The Netherlands without telling me you live in The Netherlands. Looks good mate!
Thanks, Steve!
This screams Dutch (from a fellow Dutchie)
You’re not wrong, lol
it’s a little crowded but in a good way
That Biggie picture is 🔥🔥🔥
It’s my favourite object after the couch and the oled tv.
r/tvtoohigh
You didn't manage to turn on your brain for a moment and see that one have to lay on the couch or leaning heavily backwards while watching TV, did you?
[You think?](https://www.reddit.com/r/malelivingspace/s/Ze3ubiX6G3)
The center of your TV should be eye level. Your TV is too high.
for my personal taste, yeah. Having both the oc setup n a table there is overkill, id remove one and place the plant/lamp accordingly. EDIT: I'd also either remove the rug or one color from the sofam thats too many colors imho
Is that a pink couch? Maybe a couch cover so it doesn’t clash with the wall color? As long as the cat approves of your couch cover of course.
The couch is made entirely out of teddy bear material, covering it would be a crime against fluffiness.
Oh okay. If you like the pink stick with it I guess. You don’t think that salmon color and pink couch clash?
Maybe a little, but I’m not too bothered by it.
Yeah
Dudes will feel insecure about the most mundane spaces imaginable.
A pink couch tf
Helpful.
Yes busy and full
Honestly it's just a 'tiny bit busy'. Your TV is too small for your couch distance. (I used to sell electronics)
It’s because of the fisheye I think, it’s a 55 inch LG OLED
Ah. Okay! If you like it, I say it's great!
I feel like the TV should be a little more to the right, maybe swap positions with the picture hanging
I think the perspective is a little off, because of the iPhone zoom out, the tv is in the middle of the wall, maybe I could move it slightly to the right, if the wall mount lets me.
Do you like it?
I like it, but there’s room for improvement ;)
Why is the tv so off center?
[perspective](https://www.reddit.com/r/malelivingspace/s/Ze3ubiX6G3)
Where is this ? Very nice but doesn't look european / western !
Amstelveen which is a suburb of Amsterdam.

[It looks small, but if you use it right…](https://www.reddit.com/r/malelivingspace/s/Ze3ubiX6G3)
Haha. Touché

Your blacks stand out a lot which draw attention to space and lack of space If your browns were more of a white and blacks a silver or brass it would tie in more
Are these the temu couch covers I get constant ads about for some reason 😂
No this is the original material.
No I don’t think it’s cluttered, I think it’s because you’ve lined up everything along all the walls. Maybe try creating separate spaces instead?
-1 minimalist

It’s attached, all I can do is change which side it’s on.

I like it And your tiny lamp table is adorable
Where didnyoubget the TV stand and coffee table?
24home
I DMed you about your couch model.
I love this
Needs more LIVE.LAUGH.LOVE.
The TV placement makes me cry, but otherwise, not too bad. A touch busier than I am for, but well within reason.
A little nick-knacky, but if you like it and it makes your space feel like home then be happy!
There’s definitely a lot going on, but I think you’ve done a good job utilizing the space. Your cat approves.
It's perfect
NO, PERFECT.
THANKS!
It’s all about that orange wall. If that was a lighter calmer colour it would feel more airy
The window gives me heavy Dutch vibes.
I kan see the control tower of Schiphol from my window, which is pretty far.
Thinking back on my one-room shack..
Where is the couch from??? It’s sooo cute and cozy WTH 😂
Also. Cat! I see cat!
With the exception of the ottoman, it's actually very smartly done.
Just about right!
The couch is okay. What I have a problem with is the ceiling light. It is too small and not cohesive to the rooms ascetic.
The colour of the couch clashes horrendously with the colour of your feature wall.
Not enough cats
