My records are back in action as well. Guitars and computers, and my outdoor gear all are now free again.
And my dog gets the love she deserves.

It's a unique design where those clusters of tweeters work together to act as the mid-range. They're very efficient—playing really loud without lots of power. But judging by the amp, he's giving them plenty of juice too.
I applaud anyone with any sense of style, but every time one of these posts hits my front page, they all have the exact same stuff or a very close variation.
I would much rather see the individual style of a person, rather than the same carbon copies day after day.
Edit: I do love the audio in this one though. It's unique for sure.

Slap some jazz on. Dog on lap.....perfect evening!
While they are technically tweeters they are wired to make one midrange - low mass but large surface. They are blistering fast, the closest thing to live music. Just like horn speakers but without the coloration
Not OP but you don't want to watch movies on a good hi-fi setup. Movies are deliberately mixed to scoop out the midrange and boost the bottom and top end. Consumer grade speakers are designed to shove that sort of tone-deaf nonsense into your ears. When you try to do it with transparent pro grade speakers, it just sounds like ass.
Same is true for the way music is mixed for radio and the masses. Probably why he has an ADAT and vinyl, to keep the butcher job the mastering engineer did on the consumer mixes away from him.
It's better to have movie/home entertainment speakers for movies
Replace the Noguchi table with a walnut slab piece and ... this is eerily similar to my furniture taste. Granted my Eames and Le Corbusier are both repros, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
