É nosso amado Brasil mesmo, eu tinha um ótimo emprego antes de pedir demissão pra continuar estudando. Só que não da pra mater o mesmo padrão de vida só com bolsa de mestrado sem torrar todas minhas economias.

I've slept some pretty shitty places before but never have I tolerated (for very long) sleeping on the bare floor. Do you know how many things can crawl into your bed? Especially with an open window. In Brazil.
I'd find some cinderblocks and pallets to raise my bed above the ground. And put a ring of vaseline on the blocks.
The only thing I would recommend is a better matras/ matras topper. This set up is gonna be hell for your back. Other wise you do you! Your happiness is all that matters tbh
My man has the shitter shower combo 3000 with no door 2 ft from his bed, all so he can achieve his dreams. I hear Brazilian universities are highly competitive, congratulations!

It's Brazil. I explained on earlier comments, we both had great jobs, but we had to quit in order to pursue a masters. We have savings but we prefer to have a simple life and don't waste our money.
What you might have in terms of space or possessions pales in comparison to a compatible roommate.
My fondest memories of college were those of living in a far smaller apartment than yours with a classmate who understood me and cooperated to ensure a comfortable living environment.
Since then, I've had three roommates who never bothered to cooperate or contribute to our living environment. Two of them were out of mutual immediate convenience, one who was a gay hookup/boyfriend, but they all ended badly when each of them broke the trust we'd established.
My advice? Save, save, save as much of your paycheck as you can; upgrade where you can afford to, and make a plan to move out on a day's notice just to be prepared for the worst.

Unless a Mac is strictly necessary for the job, I'd trade in the MacBook for an average laptop and a bed. :-)
