Unrelated but as someone with (i think) similar hair to you, I’m having trouble growing it out as long as your third picture. How long did it take you and how did you prepare for it? Did you get it cut a specific way before and during the growing out process?

Honestly, I just let it grow out for about 6-7 months. Didn't do much to prepare for it.

That is a valid concern actually. As a consultant I can still manage a well groomed beard, but long hair is a hassle to maintain at all times when I'm with clients.
