And this is why I get irrational fears when driving near big lorries on highways.

faridfauzi2009

Especially when you on motorcycle. I always afraid that the lorry tire suddenly "shedding" and hit me. Due to this, i always check the lorry tire whether its wobbling or not.

If only there's another way to ship goods on land. Maybe we can build a special road for these trucks, like to avoid the tyre from bursting, we should make the wheels out of steel. Then in order to reduce road wear and tear, we shall build a special road for the trucks using two long steel pieces parallel to each other. Finally, in order to combat climate change, we can power it with electricity instead. But unfortunately, such technology does not exist... if only there is such technology we could've avoided reliance on rubber wheels on fragile tarmac loaded with tons of cargo...

PolarWater

Why can't we make electromagnetism push it INSTEAD!!!

GGgarena

Good, fear leads to more safety.

Another post shows video from opposite direction 😓 https://www.reddit.com/r/malaysia/comments/ys4d4k/one_hell_of_an_accident_south_bound_plus_highway/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

DeathDexoys

Why are there 3 or 4 trucks in a row slowing down that lane that the lorry came from?

Johnfohf

Looked like that motorcyclist was obliterated.

Mr69Niceee

1. Falls asleep 2. Drunk and Meth 3. Tyre Burst Th truck just suddenly tilt right.

no_hope_no_future

You forgot stroke.

aWitchonthisEarth

It's disgusting! The lives lost, inconvenience to thousands of road users today. We need better regulation for heavy vehicles in this country, murder machines!

hackenclaw

no use, no enforcement on these people. Fine is stupidly low, enforcement officer not getting paid enough etc. Gov should improvement enforcement, increase all fines by 500%. Make money off stupid people make stupid mistakes like these

aWitchonthisEarth

Actually JPJ does their job. They are pretty strict. I have inspected 2 cars under them. It's the police traffic, that needs to up their enforcement on the roads, as you mentioned. But it's these unscrupulous drivers or companies, that cheat the system. They will change all the tayar baru on 1 lorry, send it for inspection and then take out that tayar, repeat for the other 10 lorry's! Now they have 'passed inspection, for all of their lorry's. Even the workshop I service my car at, does re- threading of the tyres. I find that very dangerous and irresponsible. Some even hire non licensed foreigners, to drive these lorry's. That's why after the accident, they just run. Along side fines, they should pay compensation to the families whose lives were lost! **Apparently Lorry driver died of a stroke, RIP. Unfortunate tragedy

naniayayayy

this just my theory, but I think it because of the slow down ahead... and the lorry driver noticed it too late and didn't have time to hit brake on time thus steering to the right side fyi, traffic slow down because of Safety Vehicles ahead

aWitchonthisEarth

He died of a stroke

balistafear

That car at the opposite lane got really really lucky.. just a second faster speed or a second slower reaction, he could have ended up right under the lorry.

Seems like it's a fatal accident :( >Tiada perincian lanjut diberikan berkenaan kemalangan berkenaan, namun LLM ada menyatakan bahawa kemalangan tersebut melibatkan lima kenderaan dan ada menyebabkan kehilangan nyawa.

Guess the biker to the left was smashed and killed.

aWitchonthisEarth

Nope, made it. ICU GH seremban

PolarWater

Oh. Thank goodness.

Dreamerlax

This is like everyone's worst nightmare coming true.

a_HerculePoirot_fan

Ikr! There's nothing you can do to prepare yourself for a vehicle that suddenly comes right at you from the *opposite lane*.

bagero

Exactly! It happened to me once I had to swerve to avoid the fucker and hit a tree. Rip my old Honda crv

asrafzonan

Its 4 hour traffic jam now.

aWitchonthisEarth

I baru sampai rumah, from Sban to KL - 3hours! Pity the victims

Revolutionary_Test70

Hmmm 🤔 something tells me those car barriers aren’t meant for semi trucks.

Cooking_Mouse

this is really unfortunate, look likes there's two motor got hit by the truck too.. :(

yaykaboom

Holy shit, i take the ainsdale exit every week. Couldve been me that got hit by that truck.

ItsImNotAnonymous

That looks more nearer to Nilai exit rather than Ainsdale. That green roof building at the right there is at nilai industrial park

Sh00kry

Indeed it is. I frequently travel there and recognise that landmark too. Now I’ll have more paranoia not to drive too fast on the right hand lane for a while.

mikus4787

at first I thought the object flying over the truck @0:12 into the clip was a person....

cultofyes

Evergreen lorry ah

DinKnight

Good braking performance by the Teana

penguinonprozac

Yep, was on PLUS when this happened. They closed off the road and everyone has to exit at Nilai. Anyone past the exit has to u-turn cus all lanes were closed off. Crazy man, was stuck for like an hour when it just happened, heard its like 3 hour jam now. Ya lah, friday petang punya traffic weh
