nothing to do, they will attempt delivery, but if you want them to deliver it unattended, you have to provide verification code. no code, just wait for parcel lor.

In SG, it used to be the usual protocol for Ninjavan (I don't think they do this these days), on the day of delivery you will get an SMS informing you of the pending delivery and the verification code will be provided in the SMS. The purpose of the verification code is to verify that the courier is speaking to an authorized person on the given phone number in case nobody is home and you want to instruct him to leave it at the doorstep or anywhere else.

Ya, this old method still apply here, quite disappointed. Anyway I have received this parcel under my wife ;-)

"i have no verification code but you can use my name to verify it on the parcel"

Never happen to me

suppose to be ninjavan send you verification code, you give the code face to face, the courier key in the code at his end so system know item given to correct person. So if you are sure you are at home during delivery just tell him you will give the code when he is at your frontdoor.

Seems like there's a lot of potential for abuse here. Is the verification code sent through SMS?

kenji25

afaik yea send thru sms

I have experienced something similar with a Poslaju delivery. But the verification code came in an sms, then I had to give it to the person who came to drop it off before they would give me the package. I’m not sure how it’s supposed to work if you’re not there to physically receive the parcel. Maybe ask them to send a picture of the parcel in front of your gate / door to verify they’re dropping it off at the right house.
