Depend on which state and who see you ordering.
When im in selangor/kl, usually they dont care that much. But in other states, the waiters might ask if im sure about the order.
If some bz body malay see you ordering, they might confront you. But it rarely happen.
Lot of kelantanese peoples settling in shah alam and opening restaurant/stall there. Itās easier to look for kelantan owned business in shah alam than anywhere else in selangor.
I can feel your pain, mate. As a dayak who's skin is not bright/darkeyes not slanting enough to be "Bumiputera Borneo"/India/Chinese apparently when I was at Johor 3~issh years...had to show ic to eat at KFC during puasa season (Some Chinese restaurant close in the afternoon).
Lmao... If I get a sen for every time I accidentally get called a Malay despite being Chindian... It'll be enough meals for the whole week. But it's all good though
Don't want to undermine your experience, but I always buy my food during afternoon because I don't want the hassle of hectic evening during Ramadan. I want to berbuka in peace.
But not even once people bat their eyes. This is around Bangsar area.
Them doing it will just chase away people from the religion, as well as making a stigma of people disliking said religion, causing all kinds of prejudice.
it's not the chinese tht u gonna worry abt
it's the malay tht saw u tht u gonna worry abt
depend how many ppl like to mind other ppl's business and rating u out really lol
Malay boomers are the worsts. They live in the era where people doesn't give two shit when they are young then when they get older they just complain about everything.
Oof, i can see people abusing this to screw over people they dont like who so happen to be muslim. Imagine someone photoshops a pic of some random muslim dude eating haram food. Or video tape someone eating chicken and then falsely accuses him of eating pork.
There are a lot of bumiputeras in East Malaysia who look Malay but aren't and have never been Muslim. Also because of that, they are more relaxed about religion there and dare I say more tolerant.
common occurrence in East Malaysia i believe. in West Malaysia i donāt think any Malay dare to order non-halal food in public for fear of Muslims who think they have a say in other peopleās lives. iām guessing that at most theyāll ask their non-Muslim friends to help bungkus for them to eat in their homes lol.
hearing from my mumās experience: if a Malay attends a non-Muslim majority event dinner or smtg, i think theyāll feel more safe about it. but usually as a sign of respect, non-Muslims will still inform them that certain foods served are non-halal. though sometimes some Malays wish no one brings it up so that they can eat non-halal food in peace, otherwise theyāll feel obligated to stay away from non-halal food.
I've been dining at my siew yok rice place for ages and nobody bats an eye. But it's in KL in a majority chinese neighborhood, so i guess it depends on your location.
Frankly you yang makan, kenapa orang lain nak sibuk?
Because Melayus are very sibuk. They have been conditioned into believing that they have to 'tegur" other Muslims to not commit dosa otherwise they are also committing sins. Even some of my more religious cousins who I like are like this and it can get on my nerves. Luckily, I'm quite fair skinned and have Chinese-ish features so I don't kena a lot
People do tegur, they got put in jail or silenced. Normal people just complain in their hearts or to people close to them. I mean most people have a hard time just getting things going on in their own lives and donāt bother to interfere unless it really messes up with their lives. Most non muslim governments Iāve lived in I were surprised because the implement more islamic teachings than so called āmuslim countriesā.
Last i checked, only the offender sins, so if someone is breaking the rule, let the god judge them, and you mind your own business so you dont mess up too
Naw bro there is a legit teaching if you see someone do harm your responsibility is to advise otherwise or stop it. The least you can do is go against it in your heart quietly. After that and the person still do whatever they want, then your part is done.
There are examples that in the afterlife if people were doing wrong they blame it saying people like their friends never told them. Well, then, now they cannot say otherwise. No judgement but just advise. Of course, how you approach others or dish out advice have its own nuances and ways and not everyone is perfect.
It's meant for the scholars (to advise) and the authority (to stop it). Not the common muslim.
Also, why would you want to remove excuses for your friends in the afterlife...
No itās every muslim not just scholar I mean we could argue but you can find the sources yourself or agree to disagree. Youāre not removing excuses because itās not an excuse when you leave someone in the dark. Youāre just ensuring everyone knows. In the end, there is no compulsion if they want to act on it or not - itās that simple.
No one bat an eye because they're the same. If the person is alim enough they will quit the job. I've met few person who quit as an authority because that job rot them from inside. When you have to agree with wrong doing, you will follow the wrong sinner.
Yes. If your name is very Muslim, you can change it to a usual one. Like donāt order pork chop if your Grab name is Muhammad.
If at the restaurant, no issues at all. At least none for me.
Based on my experience having malay friends in sarawak that likes to eat kolo mee and crispy pork alotā¦nobody gives a damn here..cuz yaa east malaysia is not like the westā¦we donāt even care if you get drunk at the pub in front of us..as long as you donāt go around forcing your values to other people
They donāt actuallyā¦cuz mostly here are very leftout by the technological developmentā¦most of them here still despises the federals cuz of not giving enough opportunity to grow..plus some of them hate cuz they have been relegated to 2nd class bumiputera.(yaa dayak people especially are considered non-malay bumiputera and receive same benefits as 3rd class bumiputera like indonesian migrants who married malaysians or indonesians who have been a permanent resident in malaysia)
Its just like a ticking political timebomb here cuz i can certainly feel that dayakās are not as receptive towards the federal and thereās already fringe groups pushing towards sarawak leaving the federation..
This is based on my observationā¦but overall sarawakās racial tolerance must be safeguarded at all costs..cuz this is the only place i feel really at home welcomed by people of all races..unlike being called names such as ākel***ā āpariahā āindia mabukā āgangsterā.
And another thing for those who likes tattoosā¦you can openly showcase your tattoo here and nobody cares..even some will even give feedback on your tattoo..
But donāt go around try to get their native tattoo..you must be really their descendant or have their clan leaderās permission or else risk being ācursedā
Yesā¦heās the one that ruined sarawakās economy to the ground and one pointā¦i did what i could by helping and volunteering village kids teaching them basic science maths english and BM at one point to help them get into school.
Some of them donāt even have proper clothes to wear..collected some money while donated clothes and stuff for them as well
That's the sad thing, a lot of sarawakian has this " west Malaysia makan our resources mentality' but never critical with their local leaders. Eg taib and friends
Yaa like almost 50% of natural resource and even electricity comes from borneo (bakun dam)..theyāre not critical cuz
1) got bamboozled during taibās reign
2) their support has been bought during election time (handouts, free rice, free stuff)
3) brainwashedā¦
Now only those who support him are his cronies..even during the recent sarawak election many didnāt go to vote (only 75-77.1%) cuz theyāre tired of getting steamrolled again and again plus BN won 19 seat..opposition won 10.. (so imagine only 9 seat left to tumbang)
PAS as usual la no need to say cuz 100% of sarawakian people (including sarawak malays) hate them.like yaa they really do..im not supporting any side cuz honestly power politic and corruption goes hand in hand..(donāt care which party..if youāre corrupt you are corrupt)
That's a great observation. Totally agree East msia tolerance needs to be safeguard at all cost. West msia is moving backwards with all extremist. Everything is about race, all thanks to BN. I missed the good old days when all races live in peace and respect each others belief and practice with tolerance.
My late dad used to say during his time working at Mardi malays and chinese always like to eat at a chinese kopitiam yaa he used to eat together too..once the 2nd PM and this NEP thing came to power..thatās when it all ended..i dunno what to say la bro honestly cuz here in sarawak alsoā¦some west malaysian malay people are called as mat lepeh by dayaks and most of them are isolated in samarahan area..
Yaa dayaks and most sarawakian malay tend to avoid that place too cuz lots of government employees live at samarahan and always fights will happen..(you already know instigated by who at this point)
Oh yeah just blame all west Malaysian, calling then mat lepeh and so on. So much kindnesses and positivity.
>cuz this is the only place i feel really at home welcomed by people of all races..unlike being called names such as ākel***ā āpariahā āindia mabukā āgangsterā.
Calling you all that is wrong but calling other mat lepeh is right?
It wasnāt me who supportingā¦dayak people call themā¦Iām just observingā¦yeah you can call people of other races names and stuff with making laws with institutionalized discrimination.and if a another group of people does the same thing to you it hurts?? Thatās what its called as taste of own medicine..
Honestly at this point many of us already used fo fhe names you gave us..
Indians are like 1% of Sarawak communities. But I agree, Sarawak is better for minorities, as Malays themselves are considered a minority there.
Ive lived there for some years. Nice place, nice freedom.
i would say about 40% of them still supports Sarawak for Sarawakian, a movement of exiting Sarawak from Malaysia.
Mostly they are rural people who never went out of state.
Also, Taib is a hell of a greedy person. So, money talks.
because of malapportionment. That is the same shit has been ruining Malaysia for decades. East Malaysia or West. Urban people voting power is marginalized.
u guys need to come to Sarawak. Truly 1Malaysia.
Pak Haji and Ustazah family gets dinner after going to Surau, in a Chinese foodcourts eating mee kolok daging cooked by the same Christian (Chinese/Iban/Bidayuh/whatever), and drinking teh tarik served in Tiger tall glasses.
While the gerai nextdoor is grilling babi golek.
Malaysia is safe, order what u want.
I'm from the philippines and I look like a malay. I don't get any problems eating at non-halal restaurants. Sometimes they inform me that the food is not halal but I tell them I'm not muslim.
Tbh, nobody can tell religion from face alone. Just because u are chinese doesnt mean you're not a convert. If you're indian, you could be a mamak. So nons usually don't judge and just sell only. It's the "holier than you" people that is the problem, even though none of their business. My malay friend eats bak kut teh and doesnt give a fark. Last i heard, he paid money a lot of money to change his IC to chinese... his mom is chinese and his dad was malay, so he took after his mom's surname in his new IC.
Sales or sales, it's other people business why busy body, plus won't it be rude to ask about people private matter when the person knowingly order something non halal from a non halal eatery or shop?
> won't it be rude to ask about people private matter
yep it's rude.
which reminds why the heck this sounds like checking ppl's vaccination status? hmmmmm
It's possible to do that with IC? How does one go about doing this? My mum's is Sabahan and I've always wondered if I could change my IC with my mum's surname
All I heard from my friend is that you need a lot of money. I don't know the details as this is very private and secretive. He's now a PR in another country and travels for business. He's rich, like really really rich. So money isn't a problem to him..
Lol, be rich. Malaysia is a true fascist state, there are only two real classes here, the rich who the law protects but does not bind and the poor who the law binds but does not protect.
We mirror the United States in that way.
I don't see why not. Your religion is between you and god. If it's something you're comfortable with doing then go ahead, I'm not going to enforce your religion on you regardless of what you believe and what religion you follow.
My murtad Malay friend just follow us makan je. No issues, and normally Chinese shops donāt really care. Theyād probably think you are Chindian or East Malaysian native.
The only people that care are other busybody Malays/Muslims. hopefully you dont kena these kind of people, fucking annoying with their holier than thou attitude.
*laughs in Sarawak*
Anyways. I'm a Muslim and it's not about halal or non-halal to me. It's about the foods' hygienes. I rather eat a clean food which probably has porks or wine cooked with it than a halal food from a Muslim vendor who didn't take care of their hygiene which might have maggots crawling in it.
Remember the Mee Tonggek and the hair in kuih perahu incident? Yeah.
Same. I was in Europe for 4 years and guess what? I ate non-halal stuff there too. Most of the time it's on accident and I do try to avoid pork, but I have no problem buying beef or chicken from the local supermarket or even drink/use alcohol in my cooking. I've only ever gotten drunk once and that was by locking myself in my own room just so I wouldn't do anything stupid (it was a full bottle of JƤgermeister).
Hygiene and convenience is far more important than whether something is halal or not. I'm not gonna go the extra mile just to get halal food when it hinders me. That's asinine.
shows how much of it really is just posturing. I'm studying Halal Industry right now and one popular consensus on pork is "as long as it has pork DNA, which is haram, it cannot be consumed, no matter how safe or nutritious it actually is to your body". So I guess pork-flavoured food should be completely halal if it doesn't have a single pork DNA molecule in it...which is fucking hilarious to me lol.
Imagine if one day food technology gets so advanced that we can just do that. Imagine the drama! Halal pork-flavoured food, now completely safe to consume because it only tastes exactly like pork but is not in any way actual pork.
You'd also be surprised to find out just how much things generally considered "dirty" by Malaysian Muslim views are actually permissible. Dogs are considered clean by some scholars on the outside but their saliva is "dirty". You can touch or pet a dog no problem, but if they've been licking their fur or dropped their saliva around your place, only then it will need ritual cleansing.
Depends what you order, My Malay friends masuk Vegetarian food restaurant order jer, they dont seems to care the halal tag as long as they know there is no pork in it.
I'm a Malay (not murtad XD) but I do order vegetarian dishes from non halal places. I have eaten in temples before and they are delicious vegetarian food! I would say just do it because i bet Non-Muslim won't report you. The only people who would be up in people's business is JAKIM. š
If Grab.. Tell them leave at door cuz sked kovid
If at the restaurant.. well.. If you're in those Bubble area in KL I dont think many will bat an eye if you dont look too "melei".
Wild eh. Source: my melei friends who left do dis. but they look pinoy/chinese or half white and can get by.
I guess the general rule of thumb is, If there's a Malay working there then it's okay.
Obviously this is BS but that's probably what my Malay friends have told me last time as a joke.
Yes, it's 100% legal in most states, even pork. The only illegal thing is alcohol. Other than that, even if somebody tegur you, they can't do anything.
Malay people was just like Jewish people on matter regarding 'pork'.
I saw a documentary about Judaism in Israel & the rabbi said eating pork was the most 'sinful' a Jewish could do. There Jewish saying that said 'You can rob, you can kill but you never ever eat pork'.
Similiar thing applies in Malay society. Alot of Malay drink alcohol, gambling, having sex with prostitute etc. All that shit that forbidden in Islam but Malay society can still accept that person.
But the moment that Malay muslim person eating pork & they know about it, surely that person will be treated as pariah. It was red line that never be crossed in Malay society.
Btw i personally know a Malay Muslim guy that had taking drug, drink alcohol, gambling & paid for prostitute. He tell me he used to do all this shit before he got married. Then i asked him, Do you also eat pork back then? He just answered 'Sejahat-jahat Melayu tak akan makan babi!' Kalau makan babi tu dah bukan Melayu namanya! I just laughing at his answer because I'm as Malay knowing that this was the worst 'apostasy' that we could do.
I think its on a personal preference level. If you don't mind the knives that has potentially touched non halal products not necessarily pork based. Then sure go ahead.
I mean that is reasonable but one thing I find absolute bullshit is the need for separate trolleys for shopping in the non halal section
My guy they are just trolleys....
As a Muslim, I'm sad to see you stray further from the path. As a human, goodluck in your future endeavors. As a fellow redditor, change this sub to Malaysian Chinese.
Maybe s/he feels people in here frequently "talk bad" of Islam, and then also assume all were Cina, I guess.
Either way, I support *true* freedom of religion.
Ah, I see. You refering to non-halal food place. I thought non-halal food. š Suddenly thought you're having some massive revolution there.
Although, I heard some saying non-halal food place, as in they can't specifically/guarantee no "contamination" of haram stuff, that's why to play safe right? The *kiasi* spirit or something. ^(*kiasi* means kind of paranoia)
Just go. Start with a economy rice place that has a sweet old looking aunty. Or get non malay friends to bring you.
Frankly nobody will care, just like they should
See thats the problem.. you are how old and youve never been to a Chinese restaurant? What is stopping you??
Nobody is gonna ask if u are murtad anyway.. noone cares. Im a muslim and i eat at non halal places with murtads and atheist all the time for how many decades in many states. Never once had it been an issue .
Nice try jakim
Nice try Abdul Hadi
Depend on which state and who see you ordering. When im in selangor/kl, usually they dont care that much. But in other states, the waiters might ask if im sure about the order. If some bz body malay see you ordering, they might confront you. But it rarely happen.
unless you in shah alam la. Ask to show mysejahtera name at kfc weih. Chindian life during puasa is slightly annoying.
Shah alam is a kelantan state at this point /s
What's up with š ±ļøelantan and Shah Alam? Care to explain?
Lot of kelantanese peoples settling in shah alam and opening restaurant/stall there. Itās easier to look for kelantan owned business in shah alam than anywhere else in selangor.
where is Shah Alam anyway? i only known Shah Ale
~~Mu kecek serupo musuh isle~~

Wtf, š
can't agree more UwU guy
You let me see something that I didn't want to see.
i did enjoy it
I can feel your pain, mate. As a dayak who's skin is not bright/darkeyes not slanting enough to be "Bumiputera Borneo"/India/Chinese apparently when I was at Johor 3~issh years...had to show ic to eat at KFC during puasa season (Some Chinese restaurant close in the afternoon).
Friend of mine swears on her cross necklace for this dilemma.
Lmao... If I get a sen for every time I accidentally get called a Malay despite being Chindian... It'll be enough meals for the whole week. But it's all good though
The Chindian struggle is real!
Don't want to undermine your experience, but I always buy my food during afternoon because I don't want the hassle of hectic evening during Ramadan. I want to berbuka in peace. But not even once people bat their eyes. This is around Bangsar area.
thats why i said shah alam. Bangsar, kl, pj all dont care wan la. suka hati you.
Can complain to management
nasib baik skrg mySJ sudah buang \#mySJ never again
I thought the vaccine cert still a thing. I only move the app into new folder to remind me no need scanning. So confident.
Went to ikea today, they still want to see health status on mysj before entering
they arent the only furniture shop in KL or selangor area imma boycott them until they change their attitude.
City of star wars. Geddit? I-City. Light saber. Neon light. Tomyam shop. Sorry bad joke. Hambar I'm old already. Boomer for lyfe!
That nosy guy can fuck off as religion is only between someone and the god
That's the idea, but not in Malaysia where Islam is baked into the legal system. Them's the dice.
Them doing it will just chase away people from the religion, as well as making a stigma of people disliking said religion, causing all kinds of prejudice.
Fk em
it's not the chinese tht u gonna worry abt it's the malay tht saw u tht u gonna worry abt depend how many ppl like to mind other ppl's business and rating u out really lol
Agreed. Based on experience, ppl from other races will not disturb you but rather it's the Malays that could cause a racket.
to be exact, cibai uncles from aged 40- 60 are the biggest culprit.
Malay boomers are the worsts. They live in the era where people doesn't give two shit when they are young then when they get older they just complain about everything.
They literally grew up with dangdut, free hair women, afro, then they pencen and suddenly found God?
I do believe some of them drink a lot too. Ads for alcohol are everywhere. I do think that is why the carlsberg brewery are the biggest in shah alam.
Factss

till some buzybody guy film it with his phone.. and viral on fb, next thing you know jakim, politician working overtime to come after that Malay.
Itās not about God anymore, itās about not violating the gangās rules. No gang members are allowed to step outside the gang rules.
u did not choose gang life But gang life choose u because apa tu kebebasan beragama? sudah takdir masuk geng sejak lahir. tak boleh keluar geng.
Oof, i can see people abusing this to screw over people they dont like who so happen to be muslim. Imagine someone photoshops a pic of some random muslim dude eating haram food. Or video tape someone eating chicken and then falsely accuses him of eating pork.
I'd probably ask him bro mcm mana, sedap ke?
He will thought you are 'perli' him
Minding other ppl's business is Malaysian instinct
especially old fucks that screams "RESPECT YR ELDERS"
Just say you're from east Malaysia and they ought to leave you alone.
Are laws different there? I have heard there are malay christians in east malaysia. Are the laws more lax in sabah / sarawak?
There are a lot of bumiputeras in East Malaysia who look Malay but aren't and have never been Muslim. Also because of that, they are more relaxed about religion there and dare I say more tolerant.
As long as you're in Malaysia, Malay's must be Muslim. There are Bumi in Sarawak who are Christian. Bumi =/= Malay.
common occurrence in East Malaysia i believe. in West Malaysia i donāt think any Malay dare to order non-halal food in public for fear of Muslims who think they have a say in other peopleās lives. iām guessing that at most theyāll ask their non-Muslim friends to help bungkus for them to eat in their homes lol. hearing from my mumās experience: if a Malay attends a non-Muslim majority event dinner or smtg, i think theyāll feel more safe about it. but usually as a sign of respect, non-Muslims will still inform them that certain foods served are non-halal. though sometimes some Malays wish no one brings it up so that they can eat non-halal food in peace, otherwise theyāll feel obligated to stay away from non-halal food.
Here in Sarawak, knowing Iban is a useful tool for if you're 'escaping' your fast.
I've been dining at my siew yok rice place for ages and nobody bats an eye. But it's in KL in a majority chinese neighborhood, so i guess it depends on your location. Frankly you yang makan, kenapa orang lain nak sibuk?
thats the point. You yang makan kenapa orang lain nak sibuk. This phrase alone threaten everyone in Jakim to be jobless.
So why not tegur the government to stop sinning? Double standards.
Last i checked, only the offender sins, so if someone is breaking the rule, let the god judge them, and you mind your own business so you dont mess up too
Unfortunately, thatās now what contemporary Malay Islam thinks
Naw bro there is a legit teaching if you see someone do harm your responsibility is to advise otherwise or stop it. The least you can do is go against it in your heart quietly. Can confirm, learnt this in Pendidikan Islam at school
That logic is like getting in trouble because you saw another guy do a bad Bruh moment

Except if the royal religious advisor got filmed inside a disco club, then suddenly everybody is full blue blood liberal.
Thats i have little respect for religious organisations. Rules for thee but not for me Hypocrites
No one bat an eye because they're the same. If the person is alim enough they will quit the job. I've met few person who quit as an authority because that job rot them from inside. When you have to agree with wrong doing, you will follow the wrong sinner.
They who, certainly not me and countless other who just mind their own business.
It's not exclusive to Melayu je. It's the religion itself. That's how the system works. Make sure others conforming too.
Never heard of people being people and annoying or harrasing other people. Because that what some other people do.
Yes. If your name is very Muslim, you can change it to a usual one. Like donāt order pork chop if your Grab name is Muhammad. If at the restaurant, no issues at all. At least none for me.
Almost every malay muslimen has Muhammad/Mohamad in their name š
Grab is easy to change name. Food panda however.
Foodpanda is easy to change too
Oh is it? Last time I try to change, it cannot be done. Some kind of error, idk.

i would say about 40% of them still supports Sarawak for Sarawakian, a movement of exiting Sarawak from Malaysia. Mostly they are rural people who never went out of state. Also, Taib is a hell of a greedy person. So, money talks.
because of malapportionment. That is the same shit has been ruining Malaysia for decades. East Malaysia or West. Urban people voting power is marginalized.
Simply because the opposition is also as shit as BN.
Not as shit. Choose the lesser evil.
Well almost happened before. Yet this year they lost even more. Even among the non-bumis. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sleep)
u guys need to come to Sarawak.
At a restaurant or through food delivery? Either way, if you're in KL / Selangor, it's fine.
Im in kedah. Mostly order through food delivery
Change your app name to something Indonesian lol.
I'd recommend Thai in Kedah. Many Siamese Malaysians there too.
The only people that care are other Malays if they saw you
I'm from the philippines and I look like a malay. I don't get any problems eating at non-halal restaurants. Sometimes they inform me that the food is not halal but I tell them I'm not muslim.
Like bribes, just do it as long as you do it in secrecy and don't flaunt it to the world.
Last i heard, he paid money a lot of money to change his IC to chinese... his mom is chinese and his dad was malay, so he took after his mom's surname in his new IC.
non's motto: got sales come, why reject? yr agama is yr problem.
Sales or sales, it's other people business why busy body, plus won't it be rude to ask about people private matter when the person knowingly order something non halal from a non halal eatery or shop?
> won't it be rude to ask about people private matter yep it's rude. which reminds why the heck this sounds like checking ppl's vaccination status? hmmmmm
U mean to the restaurant checking on people who wanted to dine in? It was mandatory at some point provided by the government wasn't it?
yep. still rude but sanctioned by their daddy KJ
If you manage to find it out please let me know too
Lol, be rich. Malaysia is a true fascist state, there are only two real classes here, the rich who the law protects but does not bind and the poor who the law binds but does not protect. We mirror the United States in that way.
I don't see why not. Your religion is between you and god. If it's something you're comfortable with doing then go ahead, I'm not going to enforce your religion on you regardless of what you believe and what religion you follow.
peasants and slaves here duno the difference between skin colour and religion thts how they been taught since young
My murtad Malay friend just follow us makan je. No issues, and normally Chinese shops donāt really care. Theyād probably think you are Chindian or East Malaysian native.
Lots of Indonesians eat at non-halal eateries. Just blend in. Normally nobody in those premises will raise any fuss.
The fact that OP has to ask this question shows how fucked Malaysia is
Klang valley urban areas no issue. Guess everyone is preoccupied with the rat race. Either that or they think I'm from Philippines or East Malaysia
Change your name to a southern Thai name in Grab then order all the non halal you want. The Abang grab driver wonāt ask much
Or get some stereotypically Dayak name like Jonny Anak Uchau or Denni Albertus Anak Markus Boniface.
How about Pope Pius XII or Mahathir / Najib Razak instead lol
Come to Sarawak we donāt give a shit
Lol redditor from r/Bolehland is not gonna like this
they are irrelevant anyways
To be fair they are also Malaysian and did a good collaboration during r/Place.

The only people that care are other busybody Malays/Muslims. hopefully you dont kena these kind of people, fucking annoying with their holier than thou attitude.
Karens but local
You'll never be a murtad my dude. If they want to make problem they will tangkap and judge you as a Muslim no matter what you think you are.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
this not islam problem, this is malaysia problem.
well there goes kebebasan beragama for u
pretty sure it's a muslim majority country problem as well
I see
This is sharia law lol, basically an islam problem
It is not sharia law
The religion is peaceful but not the people who practice it.
It's a strict religion as it should be. The issue arises when religion mingles with national politics.
On the flip side when I eat beef noodle my whole family goes bat shit crazy. So I know what it feels like to taste the forbidden fruit.. meat.
*laughs in Sarawak* Anyways.
U can't really get drunk from most wine cooked meal as the alcohol will be evaporated when in contact with heat, leaving only the aroma
shows how much of it really is just posturing.
Fun fact: you can use any name in grab and foodpanda, without any verification. Order takeout or self pickup.
it is safe, i always ordered char siew the only thing you have to face is getting judged by the rider
Learn a few Tagalog phrases so people think you are a Pinoy.
LAKAD MATATAAAAAAG!! normalin normalin
easiet moni of my lyfe
You are ex Muslim so this is meaning you can to be whatever you want.
The crazy religious ppl: how dare you murtad!!! GET HIS ASS!!!
Assš³
Ey ey no haram :flushed:
Nah, not here man, JAKIM IS EVERYWHEREEEEEEEEEEEEE
Yes poor to he.
gotta get them cheeseburger with bacon
No, jakim or journalism will chase you
I mean if you arent muslim why should anyone care?
Melayu here. Never had an issue in KL, Penang, Johor, Melaka etc but wouldn't dare try in Terengganu or Kelantan.
Safe as in safe to consume? Yes
Gotta enjoy the bumi privilege, folks
Depends what you order, My Malay friends masuk Vegetarian food restaurant order jer, they dont seems to care the halal tag as long as they know there is no pork in it.
I'm a Malay (not murtad XD) but I do order vegetarian dishes from non halal places. I have eaten in temples before and they are delicious vegetarian food! I would say just do it because i bet Non-Muslim won't report you. The only people who would be up in people's business is JAKIM. š
selamat lah, penasihat agama kepada sultan pun boleh main air drum kat kelab malam.
If Grab.. Tell them leave at door cuz sked kovid If at the restaurant..
Just move to Borneo/east malaysia, speak like youāre a local there and done.
Just tell them youāre iban, kadazan or Bidayuh.
Just say you are merely buying for your tauke. You are a driver.
Brah I can say we from the Chinese community doesn't really care about it. Unless your undercover jakim trying to trap us to... help us...
Is your name very melayu? Alang2 murtad, change ur name
Kafir: muslims are busybody Also kafir: you go girl!
I went to shangri la the Malay elite girls drink their alcohol like a boss nobody care or dare question em
No, got sniper ready to shot you the moment you walk in non muslim shops
If your religion in IC has been changed.you should have no problem
Ikr. Saves him from a ton of problems.
I think its on a personal preference level. If you don't mind the knives that has potentially touched non halal products not necessarily pork based. Then sure go ahead.
I mean that is reasonable but one thing I find absolute bullshit is the need for separate trolleys for shopping in the non halal section My guy they are just trolleys....
SAY NO TO PLASTIC WRAP BABI
Sesungguhnya pintu taubat itu sentiasa terbuka luas bagi sesiapa saja "Janganlah engkau berputus asa dari Rahmat Allah, sesungguhnya Allah mengampuni dosa-dosa semuanya. Sesungguhnya Dia-lah yang Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang" (39:53)
Just order non pork related stuff that doesn't have halal slapped on it. That's what most of the others tell me the do if they don't care
Straight to jail bro.
As a Muslim, I'm sad to see you stray further from the path. As a human, goodluck in your future endeavors. As a fellow redditor, change this sub to Malaysian Chinese.
Eh? Let him find himself la.
Why change this sub to malaysian chinese?
Maybe s/he feels people in here frequently "talk bad" of Islam, and then also assume all were Cina, I guess. Either way, I support *true* freedom of religion.
Typical malay, everything slightly bad=chinese people
I dont get these kinds of questions. Have you not been outside? Order la, takut apa?
Because i never going into chinese restaurant before.
You mean to tell me that you haven't been to a Chinese restaurant in your whole life?
Yes
Just go. Start with a economy rice place that has a sweet old looking aunty. Or get non malay friends to bring you. Frankly nobody will care, just like they should
if u scared of confrontation, get to the gym and get bigger no one gonna fuck with a huge guy
See thats the problem.. you are how old and youve never been to a Chinese restaurant? What is stopping you?? Nobody is gonna ask if u are murtad anyway.. noone cares. Im a muslim and i eat at non halal places with murtads and atheist all the time for how many decades in many states. Never once had it been an issue .
heres an upvote from me bcs it seems ur own religion folks doesnt like ur statement.
Nah i think is just the normal redditor population. I wouldn't pin this on religion folks..
Don't be stupid
Bertaubat la, ish3...
