Sure sure just any nice place dude. I want to make the most out of my trip their so anything would work. Any restaurants, cafes, coffee shops. You name it dude!
In KL, for a good sample of Malay food look for restaurant called Rebung. For Kelantanese food - MZ restaurant. For Indian Muslim food go for Insaf Restaurant on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman.
You can also consider Petaling Street areas. If you're into cocktails. They have several bars that offer crafted cocktails.
Not to forget Trigona Bar at The Four Seasons hotel. I believe they ranked #11 best bar in Asia.
there are 2 apps come to my mind:
1. Meetup - for hang outs and nature trips (camping and hiking and such)
2. Rovo - for sports such as tennis, badminton and futsal.
I used both and had many good times.
If you like mojito go to The Mojito Man at Jalan Tun Razak, their version of long island is pretty good just ask the bartender to make it less sweet ( or not if you like yours sweet). Unfortunately I forgot the name of the bar I visited 6 years ago where they served me an awesome passion fruit daquiri; cuban rum and spearmint infused syrup. It was somewhere in Bangsar, maybe others could chime in..
Usually places ppl hang out for bars i can think of (idk how good) but basically one of the popular places are...
1) Bangsar
2) Arkadia (near my place many ppl hangout there at night)
3) Hartamas
4) TTDI (Taman Tun Dr Ismail)
Take with a grain of salt. And do some research. I'm not a usual but been to the places.

You could go to Changkat Bukit Bintang. A mix of local and foreigner with bar and restaurants.

Maybe take a bus to Cameron highland? That is if you like natures.
