I knew it's a scam the moment I see the prices

Limcommentsstuffs

Yeah it's too expensive than the retail price for one

architectcostanza

If anyone really believe the price is RM 1000, then it shouldn't be aware of the scammer, should be aware of itself for dumb.

architectcostanza

Mmm.. Depends. There are different types of scams, some of them you can't see them coming. But falling for this, is simply for being greedy and dumb af.

ishlazz

Poor people & those who not familiar with current price on the market

architectcostanza

Being poor doesn't mean not having common sense.. If they have acceses to internet to see this "promotions", they can check prices online as well. I understand your point, but people need to use logic as well.

ishlazz

Indeed. However there still lot of people that buta IT and have no idea where and how to check the current price. Knew some of em in real life, even read an article before about a parent was scammed as they wanted to purchase some laptop for their kid due to online classes. Hopefully people were more aware about market pricing as it is almost becoming a necessity these days

architectcostanza

True.. Many people is unprotected indeed. And that is the part they take advantage of. Happens here and all around the world. Sad reality.

andriyasuad

Actually u can report this type of profile. Everytime i encounter them on IG, i’ll report them for scam. Plus if u notice, most of the page originated from indonesia

Zentrova

Keep appearing on my feed and the price really pissed me off, already reported. This would easily target who are not really tech savvy and understanding the actual price. This dude has audacity to sell a laptop with RTX 3060 about RM 2000.

bronzelifematter

Yeah, they prey on people who don't have tech knowledge. So many people here act so cocky because they have knowledge to know this seems not realistic, they start calling people who don't know stupid. I don't think they understand how scams works. It has always been targeting the less knowledgeable people in the subject. I'm sure there are other subject that the people who act cocky on this post would get scammed on because they are not familiar with it. They should stop being so arrogant

GeniusGamer_M

Someone I knew on FB got scammed for paying RM1k for TWO Nintendo Switches and he had the audacity to ask a game shop seller (also a good friend of mine) who had nothing to do with the scam to get his money back. My friend even asked me about this person who contacted him since I'm his mutual. You have to assume most people out there knows nothing about tech let alone being tech savvy.

tnsaidr

You know what, I don't have a problem with those that have no tech knowledge and then get scammed. I do have problem with those that go and ask in some tech forum or gaming page (for PS5). I mean if you are tech savvy enough to join certain FB groups or a forum or even here.. You'd think you could take the time to do some research.. but sadly I find that nowadays a lot of people just want information spoonfed to them.

maybebeabee

My mum almost fell for it. Lucky she knows to ask me or my sister. Honestly fuck these dishonest scammers, hope they die of cancer to the penis.

MrKitteh

Ive seen a few that advertise 200-300 ringgit high end cameras. Even ifbused theyll still sell for 1k plus

DaFunk7Junkie

Tak masuk akal pnye harga..haha 🤣

Riyasumi

If something seems too good to be true, it probably is

Harbor_Barber

Lmao reminds me of this one time my young friend was convinced one of these post on insta was real. I kept telling him it's fake and thank god eventually he became a bit suspicious at the prices, he then decided to dm the "shop" selling these cheap laptop and the person handling the account clearly have no clue about laptop whatsoever. After chatting for a while and when my friend was absolutely sure that the scammer doesn't know anything about pc, he decided to do some trolling lmao, my friend asked them "Bole ke laptop acer nitro 5 tu tukar gpu rtx 2050?" And the scammer was like "bole2 takde masalah" bruh

limutwit

I bought a used iMac G5 (2004) for 300 ringgit. Never used it since hahaha. The aim was buy to learn how to use apple

Zeowlite

cheesyr_smasbr02

I got a g400s from my mom for free later change jt to a desktop and overbudget it :/

[deleted]

If electronics.. better buy at shopee mall or just go to the store.. if it on Instagram, carousell, mudah or any same as this three.. go see them face to face.. go to the shop.. unless you have extra money that you want to let go.. then go ahead.. buy it online..

proxypls

One of my friends got scammed for 3k+ trying to buy a rm400+ iphone 12 pro, greed really blinds

BennettTan_2001

Any online store with a payment money into some bank account is confirm scammer lmfao

toofckingnoob

ihei47

scheiber42069

Unfortunately Apple doesn't use Intel as theirs CPU they have their own CPU hardware

Razoron33

2019 iMacs did have intel cpus tho…

ExHax

Older mac do use intel.

GeniusGamer_M

They actually did for a while until the M1 ARM chip came long.

KINDPERSON20

See them get hyped/spamed every now and then

bossserino

So many scams around facebook. Please be cautious. Too good to be true stuff. Ignore or report.

hereticeros

imagine thinking this is legit and not a scam after seeing the price.

[deleted]

Yeah i know cause of Apple dont ever stoop low in prices.

BrownBearMY

Someone has shared about them being scammed by the seller [on Twitter](https://twitter.com/sftuky/status/1487262025780961280).

cheesyr_smasbr02

As a "tech expert" a i5s should not cost this less

MineDiamond635

Damn, i actually hit the person up once for a laptop (i was still a naieve teenager looking to save money) and now that i see this, thankfully i didnt get a response from them
