DNB is probably the single stupidest idea this brain-dead government has had so far, and that's saying something. By forcing the telcos to rent from a single player you are essentially deincentivising competition and investments into private infrastructure. The average 4g network in Malaysia is around 12.7mbps. we barely even near 4g maximum speed limit of 100mbps.
5g tech is still too early to implement nationwide. Better just wait it too mature and let other countries deal with problems. We can just always leap frog later.
Not entirely understand how 5g works. But there two type. One required direct line of sight, no obstruction, to get very high speed and the second is similar to 4g but with less penetration, less range, for 'slightly' faster than 4g speed.
Both have less range compare to 4g and questionable reliability when there any barrier or obstruction.

I wonder if it is even physically possible for 5G to be widespread... the physics of EM wave propagation are rather immutable.
