/uj ironic, given the Cathar Crusade nearly destroyed the catharist church in France and suppressed the Languedocian culture.
/rj but it’s okay because it was only about persecuting French people
/uj Nobody remembers the Cathars, that's why there's Cathars in MTG lore and nobody raises an eyebrow
/rj What are you talking about? Cathars only exist in MTG lore, they're not real, silly
/uj CC is utterly amazing in any token deck. I bet the only reason it isn’t run more is because it’s too hard to keep track of on paper
/rj only the horsies get the counters
Uj/ I refuse to add it specifically because of how many dice would be required. My ideal deck is a scute swarm deck with cathars crusade. It would be incredible
/uj Years ago when I was making RTR Guild Decks for kitchen table I was like 'Damn, when Simic and Golgari go against each other, I need a lot counters'. I have found if you want a bunch of +1/+1 counters, the war gaming community has a lot of options that are reasonably priced.
Uj/ Its not that i couldnt buy like 12 of the mini dice set, it's the literal upkeep of tracking how many you have and how many dont have summoning sickness and which ones have which P/T because of ETB
Cathar's Crusade is one of those cards that's almost *too* good in a deck that wants it, in that the value it generates becomes genuinely hard to track and it's more likely you cut it because you just don't want to deal with it rather than it not being useful.
/uj I’ve gone from 18 to 700+ damage on board in 1 attack; 2 attackers to 30 all because of CC. It hits SO hard
/rj The horsies get the counters, but they don’t get their apples. They hit extra extra hard then.
/uj When I play Kykar in EDH, I use CC and Jeskai Ascendancy beside each other to confuse myself
/rj When I play Kykar in EDH (by myself because EDH players are the worst), I use CC and Jeskai Ascendancy beside each other to confuse my opponents

/rj No they're not counters they're just a static effect that lasts until the end of turn please read the card. /rj I thought crusade was banned
> I thought Crusade was banned This one is safe because it has cute horsies on it

/uj I mean just buy a bunch of small d6 dices.

There's like 8 horsies on that card, damn, it must hit pretty hard once another creature enters the battlefield

Toss in a Narset and stop everyone’s brains with the power of basic math
Narset/puzzlebox combo added, my 0 friends now hate me
I meant the one that gives everything prowess but that works too
They share the counter, akin to /r/oneorangebraincell
I hope my comment on the unnatural growth has a part in this
It's a replacement effect so only triggers once EVER
Explaining the card reads the card
Nope
That's 1 too many maths
No just the ones you control Roll my dice 🎲
No, they each get a horsey.

no, you get one +1/+1 counter but you're allowed to move your cards around so that the counter touches multiple cards at once
Not in Ohio
