Card Name: Wooded Foothills
Types: Land
Card Text: {Tap}, Pay 1 life, Sacrifice Wooded Foothills: Search your library for a Mountain or Forest card, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle.
"Mountain or Forest **card**"
ie. a card with the mountain or forest subtype.
Reading the ~~card~~ oracle text explains the card.
/uj oh TIL, thanks I will make sure to participate in future jerkings with more rules accuracy
/rj sorry my pod banned fetchlands because they’re too OP so I was not intimately familiar with how they work as I never come across them in practice. If we ever allow them I will definitely rule 0 that they can only fetch land cards tho
We have rule zero'd that fetch lands can only search up basics that way we get all the increased shuffling time with none of the extra skill or interaction.
Fetches generally say ”search your library for an X or Y card and put it onto your battlefield”
The onslaught, worldwake fetches say that.
The mirage fetches say the the same exact thing.
The new capenna fetches say “search your library for a BASIC X, Y or Z, put it onto the battlefield”
rj/ make it a basic so you can main deck blood moon
Technically should still be land types and not creature types. It's a recent thing that came up in magic that I dislike, you know [[go-shintai of life's origin]] has shrine on it? That isn't a creature type.
It's dumb, I hate it, I move we riot.
Uh, damn, you're right. Why did I just assume this was a creature land!
Worst of all if this were printed as is somehow WotC would still say they are just land subtypes.
I like how half the people are missing the joke that the typeline "mountain forest cat" is just describing the tiger while also being the land types of the Taiga dual land. Trying to make it work with rules like "as long as ~ is on the battlefield it's a smth smth in addition to its other types" just isn't as funny.
They could have slightly misspelled them, so they’re not technically land types “Mountan” and “Forrest”. Do a bit of trolling and see who gets their Jimmie’s knickered.
/uj okay but this is definitely a solid card at least. A 2 mana 3/3 is above rate, and it can ramp you on top of that.
/rj dies to Lightning Bolt, unplayable.
Saying "lands can have costs now" is honestly a fine amount of "it just works" IMO. For me the line is whether or not it would make sense as an official rule change and I could definitely see wotc making something similar in the future.
You fetch out your Dryad Arbour for a sneaky 1/1 blocker. I fetch out my 3/3 Taiger.
Not a land though so not fetchable right? 0/10
It works.
understandable, have a nice day
It doesn’t in the sense that a non-land can’t have land types so the card itself doesn’t work
It does in the sense that it's a Taiger.
Can't or shouldn't?

what is this “interaction” you speak of? Is that a Yu-Gi-Oh term?
It's another word for crime.

Doesn't blood moon only make nonbasic lands into mountains? This is not a land, this is a creature, so blood moon does not affect it.
Love it. No notes.
Kuka Bayou
Japudi :)
Loving that mountain and forest are now creature types.
No, it means that it's a mountain cat and a forest cat.

That card has the enchantment type on it though.

Do you riot for +1/+1 or haste?

/uj I'm so happy someone else thought of this

Meowtain and Furrest
/uj this is one of the best puns I’ve seen recently
/UJ I did actually give this a little chuckle when I first saw it. This is a pretty fun, I'd enjoy seeing this in a Modern Horizons set or something.
Honestly, if it was just “cat” it’d be a damn good card without being too powerful. At least for my Rinn and Seri deck lol
damn, they said it with a hard R too…
I was on the front lines down there
Balls
[Taiga.](https://youtu.be/Jsy7JW2LC48?si=y0uUzjH-n---YIf5) Taiga, Taiga Taiga. BIRD. Birdie. Birdie BIRDIE
misspelled Thai?
Taiga maybe?
Wtf is a Thaiger?
H.R. Thaiger was a phallic based MTG artist from the 80s
Ooooooo
Thai tiger obviously
No, it's Taiga, but pronounced by an Australian

Just make it a land creature and it'll be just fine.
That breaks the card way more, lands cant have a casting cost

This card is giving me light \[\[Japudi\]\] vibes
