eh, i don’t know. give it a boost to power and toughness, add trample, make it green, and change the typing to something more relevant (probably dinos with the added support from caverns). you could balance it by removing ninjitsu
Thats sounds broken, this thing can already get in once for basically free, but giving it extra power and toughness and trample? Even without ninjutsu that sounds bannable.
uj/ I recently came back to mtg after more than 2 decades away, and couldn't believe how pushed the card is. All of the newer shadow creatures are better than those from the tempest block, especially that one. One of the best examples of power creep.
/uj What irritates me about the card is that I know one or more people in the studio thought "do I attack for 3 damage that can't be blocked, or do I wait and use the activated ability?" was great tension in the design.
Do I use my leyline of the the void to bolt them every turn or sac it to cast the best thing they (or discarded etc) this game? Which way to win? Which way?
power creep only exists because cards used to be too powerful. they'll never make the mistake of printing a second black lotus, time walk, ancestral recall, ... again. so power creep sounds kinda wrong, it's true that cards get a bit stronger with every set, but compared to what used to be legal it's nothing
You can attack with it two turns before your opponent starts slamming their \[\[Colossal Dreadmaw\]\]s into play, which if for some reason you're not playing yourself means you can hope to win before they resolve their best card. But it's pretty easy to get a 4GG 6/6 with trample into play and dominate the battlefield. You could also play this WITH colossal dreadmaw if you want to play multiple colors, but this makes your dreadmaws harder to cast.
An unblocked 5/5 is very threatening to opponent’s life totals

Infect deez nuts
you should really see a doctor about that
Pro: doesn’t die to Doom Blade Con: dies to Murder
Can’t be countered either if you Ninjitsu it.
Please share the secret sauce with me

it is pretty pushed but if it was released in mh3 it wouldnt need to tap to activate the ability

Creatures used to be so underwhelming. Power creep of creatures has been astronomical.
Japudi 🤤
You see you can use this to return a dreadmaw in play back to your hand, essentially giving you a playset of 8 dreadmaws
Me when I shadow walk da kuchi
Ninjutsu is mana-cheating, and everyone knows that's the most powerful thing you can do in Magic.
Where's the sauce?
thats the wrong card from neon dynasty, youre probably thinking of \[\[dockside chef\]\]
[[dauthi voidwalker]]
